We just spent a month up on the hill at Allison's little ranch. We are already trying to figure out if we can hang out for a week next fall! We love everything about this place. Allison is a great host. The property is amazing. Allison doesn't have any bright lights, so the nights were amazing for stargazing. We just retired January 8th. We headed straight for the Keys. We love it there, but it was a month of "peopling". We love people too! But we settled in at the farm. We fell in love with the area. If you have a Jeep or any kind of off road vehicle, get out in the forest and just look around. So many critters! Once again, this is a place that I wish I could keep a secret! It's just that amazing.

This was a wonderful Experience. The land is so serene. We could easily get wifi with our personal WiFi router. The spaces are big and my animals and kids had plenty outside time. We have a drop frame camper , so we are LOW. We didn’t have any issues but I do recommend taking it slow when you come in. All and all , not an issue, Just know your rig. Allison was so nice and so were her animals. We hope to come back ! Go to farmers market and ice cream/chocolate shop in Ocala or go see Silver springs ! Nicely located outside the hustle and bustle.

Loved this place. Quiet and peaceful. Other mentioned the trains but they didn’t bother us. Allison is amazing and takes care of her property. Spots were large and well maintained.

The Farmstead Hipcamp, is a very beautiful campsite. Full hookups and easy to find location. Our only issue was the constant train noise, horn blowing throughout the night. Other than that, if trains aren't a problem for you, this is a wonderful place to stay, very nice and accommodating host.

There are so many wonderful things about this farm! Beautiful open fields, farm animals, trees for kids to play on and climb, a trail around the property to walk, convenient location, etc. Allison is a wonderful host who greeted us soon upon arrival, explained the site, farm animals, etc. The downside was the train. We fully understand that it may not bother everyone but wow, it sure did disturb us, by waking us up multiple times a night with a loud blaring horn several times each time is passed through. My kids loved watching the train go by during the day (looking through the fence and over the neighbors field), however at night time, hearing it several times a night was rather disturbing. Despite the train, it is a lovely spot and if trains don't bother you, then great!

Allison has done a really nice job designing level, full hookup, clean sites. We are from Savannah and we met friends from West Palm Beach, The Farmstead is right in the middle. We had a great time diving at Devil's Den and at the Silver Springs park viewing the manatees in the glass bottom boats and canoes. The kids had plenty to do between the nearby attractions and the enormous open space to run and play at Allison's farm while we were on site. I think when the children are adults they will still remember the hours spent climbing Allison's property's unique old leaning Live Oak. Highly recommend!

This farm was amazing! Lots of open space, very clean, full hookup sites were roomy and level. Allison was a wonderful host and really made us feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable! Highly recommend!

We spent a couple great evenings at Alison’s place enjoying a beautiful setting in Ocala horse country. The sites were easy to access for big or small rigs and, had everything we needed and nothing we did not. Other than a freight train or two, it was quiet and peaceful. We are already looking at dates to return!

DO NOT RECOMMEND. We just spent a week at the Ocala farmstead. We were so excited to stay here based on the description and reviews. I’m so glad not many other people experienced what we did. We tried every day to find a new campground because there was nothing in the description, or messages between Allison and I, about the constant train that literally goes by so close you can count the cars passing ALLLLLLLLLLL night long it took them about 20 minutes to pass, blow their whistles constantly, and literally 20 minutes another would pass…..ALLLLLL NIGHT LONG.
If the trains weren’t running, shaking the rv, the dogs constantly barked ALLLLLLLLLL night long. Our last night there we heard several gun shots, cars speeding past and yelling. We had planned on hitting the road early but decided to stay a bit longer cause we felt so unsafe after hearing the gun shots. Still not sure what happened and I don’t want to know.
The description was clear about no refunds to be given which really sucks cause we literally got no sleep between the trains, the dogs and the gun shots. It was the worst experience we’ve ever had. Being Christmas week in florida, there were no available campgrounds to be found. It was a horrible stay and her only excuse was , “ we have no idea when the trains will go through, sometimes it’s like last night, sometimes it’s not for weeks”. Well we got about 10 every single night every night we were there.
The absolute worst stay ever. Should be in listing!!

The Farmstead is a beautiful piece of property to camp on. It’s quiet, peaceful, bucolic, nostalgic, even down to the train that runs nearby several times a day. Other than the occasional horse, cow, donkey, mule, squirrel, or bird I didn’t hear another sound. And even though I didn’t get to meet Allison personally she was great to work with. I’ll go back and bring friends.

We absolutely love this place! Allison is a great host, and the setting of the campsites is peaceful and relaxing. The full hookups are an extra bonus. Highly recommended!

Allison’s property is beautiful. We only stayed a night and unfortunately it rained the whole time. Listened to the train go by a few times. Just so peaceful. We look forward to returning again.

This was by far one of the best camping experiences we have had to date. The farm is absolutely wonderful and peaceful, with the most beautiful sunsets. Large, clean, level hookup sites, easy to get in and out of with our 34' TT with full hook ups. The location was perfect for us, visiting Silver Springs and going on a guided horseback ride on the Ocala Greenway Trail System. Allison was a wonderful and kind host. I loved watching our daughter enjoy the simple pleasures in life....running through the fields, climbing trees, petting the horses, and playing with the super sweet farm dogs. Allison was kind enough to invite us up to help feed the horses too. To quote my 8 year old daughter, coming to the farm was as much fun as going to Disney World! She is already asking when we can go back. We will definitely be back. Thank you Allison!

What a beautiful place!!! The spots were extra large. Easy to get in and out of spots and overall entrance to farm. Super quite-even got to enjoy the sounds of occasional trains going by. And the sunsets are beautiful. Full hooks-ups were definitely a plus! Allison responded quickly to any questions we had. We got to meet her before we left-so lovely and nice!! If we ever are passing through definitely will stay again!

It was delightful; I was afforded all the privacy I wanted and yet knew if I needed anything that Allison would be available to help. The farm is peaceful & beautiful & I enjoyed my first RV experience immensely. Thanks Allison!

This lovely farm is off the beaten track and provides a beautiful place to stay while in the Ocala area. We travel with a large 40 foot fifth wheel toy hauler (big rig) and we were able to enter and access the property without any issues. We don' have a horse, but I understand she has options for horses if you travel with them. Extremely clean and tidy. Garbage cans, fire pit, full hookups. Gravel pads. You can hear animals on neighboring properties and an occasional train passing in the distance. Hands down we will stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay! The rolling pastures are stunning and the peace on the property was just what we needed! Lots of beautiful mature oaks on this property as well as pastures of vibrant green grass and wild flowers. She has accommodations for horse boarding during your stay and multiple campsites with full hook ups too! There were so many different birds that I spotted on and around the property, which was a lot of fun for my girls. Nice cool breezes, we didn’t even need to use our A/C until evening which says a lot in Florida! We also enjoyed trying to catch the butterflies and taking a walk down the long driveway. Allison was an excellent hostess and very kind. She allowed our girls to accompany her in feeding and petting the animals (I really think this was the highlight of the trip for both my girls). It’s close to quite a few springs in the area, hiking and riding trails. What an awesome trip, we are sooo glad we found this place! We will be visiting again!

Beyond words! Wow, we absolutely loved it! We were running late the first day and arrived at night so we didn't realize the beauty until we woke up in the morning. When we woke up it was literally like a sunrise out of a movie. It is expansive, peaceful, soul quenching, quiet, and enchanting. Allison recuses animals and her kindness radiates from all directions - Her animals are soooo friendly, the land is impeccably taken care of, and she treated us like dear friends even though we never met. She let our boys pet her animals and even feed them. She answered all of our questions about the animals was quick as could be regarding every text we sent her before and during our stay. My son literally hugged her donkey and professed his love. Our hearts melted. We would recommend staying at Allison's to everyone! I say this with nearly 15 years experience owning an international travel company and traveling all over the world. There is a slice of heaven in Ocala and the Farmstead. We are beyond grateful for our time there and Allison's hospitality!

We loved The Farmstead we would definitely return. Allison was very accomodating to the fact that we arrived at almost 10 pm on Friday, she put arrows out so that we would find our spot. It was raining all weekend but it definitely made it for a peaceful weekend. Thanks, Allison!
