In 2012 this place was an overgrown remnant of what was once a horse farm.  It was in desperate need of love, attention and tons of hard work - The Farmstead was born.  Since then it has become home to animals who needed a happy place to grow up or a peaceful spot to retire, plants and trees that needed a nurturing space to flourish and a host who looks forward to sharing her slice of heaven with others who may appreciate it.   RV or Living Quarter Horse Trailer space with horse lodging. Peaceful farm in beautiful north central Florida! Full hookup with Pasture/Turn out or Stall rental for horses. Price INCLUDES Stall rental. Additional stalls may be available. RV space: 50x20 pad. Full hook-up 50/30 amp electric service, water, septic.  Horse space: Grazing pastures, paddocks, dry stalls, wash rack. 25 minutes to HITS or World Equestrian Center. 10 miles to Southeastern Livestock Pavilion. Minutes from Silver Springs State Park, Indian Lake State Forest, Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park, Ocala National Forest - hiking, trails, wildlife habitats, kayaking in the rivers, close to Orange Lake, Lake Lochloosa, Cross Creek, Ocklawaha River and Silver River. Welcome!

    We just spent a month up on the hill at Allison's little ranch. We are already trying to figure out if we can hang out for a week next fall! We love everything about this place. Allison is a great host. The property is amazing. Allison doesn't have any bright lights, so the nights were amazing for stargazing. We just retired January 8th. We headed straight for the Keys. We love it there, but it was a month of "peopling". We love people too! But we settled in at the farm. We fell in love with the area. If you have a Jeep or any kind of off road vehicle, get out in the forest and just look around. So many critters! Once again, this is a place that I wish I could keep a secret! It's just that amazing.

    Wonderful Stay with kids and pets
    This was a wonderful Experience. The land is so serene. We could easily get wifi with our personal WiFi router. The spaces are big and my animals and kids had plenty outside time. We have a drop frame camper , so we are LOW. We didn’t have any issues but I do recommend taking it slow when you come in. All and all , not an issue, Just know your rig. Allison was so nice and so were her animals. We hope to come back ! Go to farmers market and ice cream/chocolate shop in Ocala or go see Silver springs ! Nicely located outside the hustle and bustle.

    Loved this place. Quiet and peaceful. Other mentioned the trains but they didn’t bother us. Allison is amazing and takes care of her property. Spots were large and well maintained.

    The Farmstead Hipcamp, is a very beautiful campsite. Full hookups and easy to find location. Our only issue was the constant train noise, horn blowing throughout the night. Other than that, if trains aren't a problem for you, this is a wonderful place to stay, very nice and accommodating host.
