I did a lot of research for the surrounding area and picked this one for its privacy, price, proximity to the city. We were extremely happy with our decision. The privacy was our favorite part but the water, electric plug-ins, and tree cover made it comfortable.

I was looking for a quiet get away. A place that I could escape from the busy daily grind, without driving a long distance. I live 30 minutes from this location. It’s like not being in Florida! There’s grass & real trees, like my home in North Carolina, instead of sand & palm trees. It was perfect for me & my 2 dogs. They ran free the whole time. It appears to be completely fenced in, but my dogs don’t run off, so I wasn’t worried if it wasn’t. I booked for 1 night, but after the 1st night, I booked the 2nd. The GPS brought me right to the address, but once it says,”you’ve arrived “ look to your RIGHT as you drive a bit further ahead on the dirt road, watching for the metal pole entrance gate, with the 8”x10” Hipcamp signs, or you’ll end up on a neighboring property, like I almost did! Also, keep in mind, it’s old style camping. Bring all you’ll need with you. Karen, thank you for opening up your place. It, for me is a woodsy oasis in the midst of Florida. I’ll be back for sure. Thanks again.

Karen's land was so welcoming and convenient during my FL adventure. She communicated clearly and responded quickly. I didn't get to spend too much time exploring as I arrived after dark and left as the sun was rising but I felt completely safe while there. Would definitely stay again when back in the area.

Super private spot. Never met the host but there was a fire ring and a trash can there for us which was greatly appreciated! Close to major highways. A great price! I’ve paid double for less in this area. Would definitely book again!

Responsive, friendly host. We got there and left in the dark so can't speak about the property during the day. There was a fire pit with some wood which was a nice touch

A special little setup for tent, clamshells camping, as opposed to the rv world in most of Florida campgrounds.
The pro's: it's rustic and small
The con's: it's rustic ( no bathroom, no defined sites, fire pits ) and small ( once you all figure it out, it will always be booked).

This campsite was as peaceful as the name intimates! There was a lovely view of the stars, privacy, a fire pit with wood left out if I liked, and easy entry. I just wish I could have stayed longer!

Careful of tent placement ground low on site we are on. Rain coming into tent soaking everything. Raccoons are ripping into tent and are not afraid. Price is high compared to other camps with more amenities but the location was what we needed. Private. Clean. Fenced in. Make sure tent is rated for rain and tarped. We been burning food and taking garbage out daily and raccoons are concern.

It's been great out here with my family it has been like a detox. Very clean, private. Very nice hosts. Any shopping needs less than 2 miles. Hospital less than 2 miles. 24 hour laundry approx 3 miles.

Great site private and safe. Well kept and clean. Prefer it over public grounds. Locally hospital just minutes away. Gas station too. Stores and pharmacy right down the road. Must be prepared though. Suggest tarp over tent not much cover from rain. Bring a camp potty.

Gated. Felt safe. Had chairs and fire pit ready for us. Area well maintained. Grass short. Very nice site. Only negative would be price little high for non amenity site but worth it for the privacy.

We really enjoyed staying here. The location was perfect for us to visit family and stay in our camper. We pulled in with our 22 foot trailer and truck. There is a gate and it seems to be mostly fenced in, but we kept our dogs leashed just in case it wasn’t. It was quiet.
Karen was nice and provided us a 15amp electric connection. We were careful to run one thing at a time so as not to trip it.
It did rain quite a bit and the entire yard was muddy and there seemed to be a puddle when you stepped out into the grass. So if you come during rainy season, you may not be able to get out due to mud. We were lucky to get out without getting stuck.
The mosquitos were also quite bad. You will want to get yourself some bug spray and maybe those tiki torches to post around your camper door. The mosquitos were attracted to the camper and we would have 5-10 join us when we would come in the door each time.
Id recommend this site for smaller trailers, truck campers, and vans. I’m not sure how easy it would be to pull a big rig into this location.

This site is super spacious - great for a large group, plus it's wooded enough that it still feels private. There's also a nice pond and tons of nearby attractions. I'd recommend it!

This is truly a peaceful little spot, nestled among the trees with the sound of babbling brook nearby. The space is open enough to see the stars yet has a lot of trees around. Be mindful though that there are a lot of ant hills so arrive during daylight to scope out where to camp. Also as of when I went there was no fire pit but the owners said they are working making one. Finally there are large roots sticking up on the driving path so scope out the path to make sure you do not drive over one. I popped off my bumper because I did not notice the roots.
