Nestled about 35 miles north of Pensacola, the Mystic Springs Recreation Area stands out as a serene escape for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a blend of camping, fishing, and natural beauty. This picturesque area features a boat ramp, a day-use area, a group campsite, and nine individual campsites available by reservation only, making it an ideal destination for both families and groups. Visitors can enjoy a variety of amenities, including picnic tables, fire rings, charcoal grills, and portable toilets. Site Nine accommodates up to 25 people and 10 vehicles, while the individual campsites are designed for eight people and two vehicles each. Although RV camping is permitted, please note that the campsites do not provide power, water, or waste disposal hookups. The boat ramp grants access to the Escambia River, a popular spot for swimming and fishing. As the fourth-longest river in Florida, it boasts over 85 native freshwater fish species, making it a prime location for anglers. Recreation opportunities abound at Mystic Springs, including camping, RVs, picnicking, hiking, canoeing, and wildlife viewing. Seasonal hunting is also permitted, adding to the area's appeal. However, please be aware that ATVs are not allowed, and motorized vehicles should only be used
