Welcome to Gypsy Moon Camp, a peaceful and shaded campsites on private property in Old Homosassa, Florida which is a golf cart community. This serene spot offers a quiet natural setting for campers, vans, or RV’s. Ideal for couples, and families who love spending time outdoors, campsites are located close to local attractions; paddleboard, boat, or kayak to the local springs to swim with the manatees. Explore the famous “Monkey Island” view of the three spider monkeys that live on the island, Ralph, Ebony, and Emily. Spend a day visiting Ellie Schiller Homosassa Spring Wildlife State Park; don’t miss out on the boat ride where you will enjoy all the native Florida wildlife that the Nature Coast has to offer. Hangout on the Homosassa river at The Shed tiki bar and experience “Old Florida”; this iconic spot features live music, great atmosphere, and beautiful sunsets. You must experience the famous tiki bar The Freezer; their claim to fame is the steamed peel-and-eat shrimp. Our Accommodations because we value privacy and a low-impact footprint, we host only two sites at a time: One Premium RV Site: Perfect for those bringing their home on wheels who want a secluded "back-to-nature" feel without the noise of a massive resort. The gravel rv pad is 13’ x 30’ with extra wooded space behind the rv spot and ample room for RV slide outs. 50amp electric, water, fire pit, and a trash can provided at your campsite. One Private Tent Site: A dedicated wooded space for traditional campers to pitch tents, hang hammocks under the canopy of beautiful trees, trash can provided and enjoy the coral rock fire pit. Campers can enjoy the evenings around the fire pit, stargazing, without bright city lights, and listening to the sounds of nature all around deer, owls, birds and much more. Paula is kind and contentious. Her property is clean and quiet. My stay was incredible enjoyable and located close to local attractions. I recommend staying with Gypsy Moon to all of my friends.

Paula and Lon were very kind and accommodating to us during our stay. They went well above and beyond to make us more comfortable during an extremely rainy day and night. Paula was very quick to reply to messages we exchanged prior to arriving at the property. The area was beautiful and we look forwarding to coming back to explore the area utilizing this space as a base camp for day trips.
