We loved this little piece of paradise! The owners were very sweet and so helpful. If you love the water and are looking for peace, this old the place to be.

Campsite was great. Beautiful view and nice deck and nice level site with gravel power and water were great! Only downfall was if you parked with your rv facing the water the sewer hook up was in the front of camper but if you had a long enough hose it was fine just not ideal I'd give it a 9 out of ten and would return

First time back since hurricane Helene completely leveled this Hipcamp and the entire town of Keaton Beach. The owners have worked very hard to make this a nice place again. They’ve filled in a nice level area with rock for parking, added a brand new large deck out over the water, added trees, a new kayak rack and picnic table. They provide full RV hookups.
The owners are very accommodating and prompt to respond to any questions.
We had an excellent time again here. It was August and hot. Storms brought welcoming clouds and gulf breezes. Couldn’t find any scallops at Hagens cove but the fishing more than made up for it with several reds caught using the kayaks just out from camp and a 23” caught from the deck. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back. Jim and Jeri-Sue

This is a nice spacious site right on the water with a beautiful view of the Gulf of MEXICO. The original infrastructure of the site was destroyed during Helene. They have done a great job getting it back up to speed with level gravel surface, all the necessary hookups, a picnic table, a shower, and kayaks. I biked down to Keaton Beach and there is a bike trail at the boat launch area that goes out to Ceder (?) Island. Also spend some time in the local bar (Bird Rack) talking to some of the locals and enjoying a cold brew. If you want to be away from the crowds, this is a great spot.

Very peaceful, beautiful spot! Loved having the screened room to escape the rain but still be able to see the water and loved being able to fish. Would highly recommend and definitely plan on staying again in the future.

Our second time staying here. We absolutely love this site. The open deck is wonderful. My grandson loves the fishing dock. We caught fish and crabs and watched all the wildlife. The outside shower was great to rinse and cool off.

Great place to park a small camper. The decks and dock were amazing. The canal will accommodate a shallow draft boat except at extreme low tide.

We loved our stay and will be back! Super place, with an awesome layout. Clean, well maintained, clear instructions, and easy setup for our 24' class C. The salt water creek was perfect for kayaks and paddle boards but a boat would have been grounded at low tide. Awesome place!

Great spot, enjoyed the open deck and dock. Grandson had a great time running around and playing on the deck, he loved catching crabs . We took the kayaks out and did some fishing. We also brought our golf cart, we rode it to the beach, store and everywhere.

The accommodations as an “RV Site” exceeded expectations. This was our first Hipcamp and we are used to having electric hook up and water and that’s it. Super nice to have the deck and dock and I am not sure the other reviews mention that upstairs enclosed deck has a kitchenette and electricity. Thanks a lot!

What a great RV spot! The view is amazing and the sunsets are unreal. Nice deck and screen room upstairs. It was quiet and breezy. Enjoyed watching pelicans come and go. Can't wait to book again!

Camped in a 32' camper with slide. Had two trucks and a kayak trailer. A little tight, but it was just enough. The site and facilities were fantastic. Absolutely book marking this one.

We loved this site. Not a whole lot to do around, but we were content sitting on the dock for our 3 day stay gorgeous sunsets, and some friendly neighborhood cats.

We loved this place! It was perfect for us. The 2 story covered structure allowed us to stay outside our camper when it rained. Nice breeze on the decks. And the screen room was a great place to cook and eat meals. The view was spectacular! Our dog had free range of the decks and dock. The sunsets! Lovely walks around the area. Bring your bikes! We will be back!

We absolutely loved Canp Runamuk! We have three small boys and they were totally contained and entertained on the pier. We saw stingrays, found a horseshoe crab shell, caught fiddler crabs, and mullet, saw a marsh snake – it was awesome! The outdoor shower was great for dirty kids/dogs. Area was super private and the neighbors we did meet were friendly and helpful. The little gas station/store up the street had everything we needed. Not many food options around, so pack in some meals, but Roy’s in Steinhatchee is great in a pinch. Overall couldn’t have been happier – this is a wonderful little spot and the hosts have everything you need for an amazing weekend!

This was our 4th time camping at this site and it was our best visit yet! My 8 year old loves exploring the water in front of the dock, hunting for blue crabs, hermit crabs and fish. Kayaking is beautiful here. And it's a short bike ride to the beach, which is lovely! The decks are so nice to have and the view from the upset deck is breathtaking. The screen room on the upper deck is perfect to use in the evening if the noseeums get bad, as the do sometimes. This spot is so peaceful. We already can't wait to come back!

The deck and dock area is fully fenced. Our dogs were able to lounge and move around freely while we were sitting outside. The area is very peaceful and quiet. We loved sitting out on the dock in the mornings watching the birds, ducks, and the jumping fish. If you happen to take an afternoon ride to Steinhatchee, be sure to eat at Roy's. It's right on the water. The food is great and the prices are reasonable.

The dock and 2 story deck with screen room were great for the kids and the dogs. If we weren’t at the site we were on our bikes headed to the beach only a short ride away. We enjoyed all of our meals out on the deck. The orange and pink sunsets over the water were amazing. We absolutely found out happy place here! We will most definitely be back!

A beautiful, very scenic spot right on the Gulf. The two story building with large decks, dock, fish cleaning station and closed in room up upstairs is a fisherman’s dream. The owner is very responsive!
Our 24’ RV with 4’ bike/ kayak rack fit into the front yard spot. We bought a longer hose at the little corner deli/store to reach the dump . Having full hook ups was great!
It was very windy while we were there. The one day it wasn’t, we rode bikes to the cute little nearby beach with a long dock . Other days we walked in the AM, relaxed, visited Steinhatchee and did a day trip to Lafayette Blue Springs State Park to kayak and then had dinner on Perry.
One thing I loved was hanging out in the closed in room upstairs on the dock. Gorgeous views and I could plug in my little speaker, take my weights upstairs and do workouts while watching the birds and boats. also a great place to read or stargaze. We even had a pair of eagles visit us 2 days!
We recommend a stay here , if you are a fisherman or looking for a peaceful get away!

We've stayed at this hipcamp the times and we just love it! The view from the decks can't be beat. The sunsets are stunning. There's a a lovely beach a short bike ride away. I definitely recommend this site to any one looking for a peaceful, gorgeous spot with great amenities.

This is a special place that transcends the experience you get in a normal campground. The structure literally sits directly on the water (and above it when the tide is high). You have your own dock, two stories of deck space and an enclosed screen porch with a microwave oven, mini fridge and prep space. We had our 5 day stay cut short by Tropical Storm Nicole's march across the state and straight up into the Big Bend region. The weather that preceded the storm was sunny but winds were steady and gusty. It allowed us to get a taste for living on the property but the incessant emergency alerts warning us of the potential 3-5 foot storm surge eventually made an early exit necessary. Before we left we briefly kayaked in front of the property (although windy conditions made it tough), rode our bikes to the beach/public pier, spent the day exploring the WMA (we spotted wild hogs on the trail), had a great lunch at Kathi's Crabhouse in Steinhatchee and saw a stunning sunset. Not bad for 36 hours! We will definitely be back!

Great place this is my second time camping with my family here. Can't beat the beautiful view, the sunsets on the deck, and kayaking. My husband and I also caught some blue crab to eat with our steak. Host is kind and accomodating. We will be back again! Thank you Susan!
