Groundwork Farmstead RV Retreat | Full Hookup Farm Stay in Fort Pierce, Florida Escape the campground crowds and enjoy a unique stay at Groundwork Farmstead, a nonprofit urban farm nestled in the heart of Fort Pierce. While we’re just minutes from shopping, restaurants, beaches, and downtown amenities, stepping onto the property feels like entering a peaceful slice of Old Florida. Your RV site is located beneath a covered pole barn with full hookups, overlooking our horse pasture and surrounded by gardens, wildlife, and open green space. Guests also have access to an outdoor shower, grill, and picnic area, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the Treasure Coast. Groundwork Farmstead sits on one of the area’s historic homesteads, with roots dating back to 1910, making it one of the earliest established properties in Fort Pierce. Today, the farmstead serves as a nonprofit dedicated to environmental education, pollinator habitat, gardening, and stewardship. Just steps from your site, you’ll find our growing Florida Butterfly Garden, where Monarchs, Zebra Longwings, Gulf Fritillaries, and other pollinators can often be seen visiting native and Florida-friendly plants. Wake up to the sight of grazing horses, enjoy your morning coffee among the butterflies, and unwind to the sounds of frogs and songbirds in the evening. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the property’s proximity to local fishing and recreation. Nearby Five Mile Creek and White City Park on Ten Mile Creek offer opportunities for kayaking, nature walks, and fishing. Local anglers regularly catch snook, largemouth bass, and other freshwater species in these waters. We’re also conveniently located near: * Downtown Fort Pierce * Fort Pierce Inlet; beaches * Savannas Preserve State Park * Farmers markets and local restaurants * Botanical gardens and nature trails This is a working urban farm, not a commercial campground, so guests can expect a peaceful, authentic farm experience with animals, gardens, butterflies, and plenty of opportunities to slow down and reconnect with nature. Whether you’re passing through for a night or looking for a quiet basecamp to explore Florida’s Treasure Coast, we invite you to experience the charm, history, and hospitality of Groundwork Farmstead.Pony Pasture Campsite at Groundwork Farmstead Wake up to the sounds of the farm while enjoying the comfort of a spacious, private RV site overlooking our friendly ponies’ pasture.
