Whether you’re planning a family camping trip or a quiet retreat for two, this dry camp spot offers the perfect place to unplug and unwind. Access is via a gravel road—it’s a bit bumpy, but manageable. I’ve made it just fine in a Toyota Camry, so most vehicles should be able to handle it with a little care. Cell service is spotty; Verizon tends to work better than AT&T, but signal strength varies depending on the spot. Located just 1.5 hours from the sand dunes, this site makes a great basecamp for nearby adventures or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of nature.
