Dragonsong Sanctuary is a multi generational community and retreat center—a place for both nurturing connection and deep, restorative peace. If you’re seeking support, we offer Tai Ji, Qi Gong, herbal consultations, rune readings, guided journeys (inner or on the Mesa), and organic home-cooked meals with advance notice (vegan and gluten-free available). And if solitude is what you need, you’ll find that here in abundance. This is your journey—we’re simply here to support it. Set on 40 acres of juniper and piñon forest with expansive views of the San Juan and West Elk Mountains, Dragonsong offers trails to wander, wide open skies, and peaceful immersion in Nature. We’re just 20 minutes from the Grand Mesa’s 300 lakes and vast wilderness. Stay in one of our campsites (with composting toilet and outdoor shower), or Juniper House—our cozy 2-bedroom bungalow at the forest’s edge. Juniper House features an open layout, a deep soaking tub, a well-stocked kitchen with organic spices, and views of meadow, forest, and mountains. Step out the back door to a winding forest trail and evenings under brilliant, star-filled skies. Paddleboards are available for Mesa adventures, and well-behaved dogs are welcome. Our StarLily belle tent is a community shared space and a wonderful space for meditation, yoga, relaxation, acoustic music, or stargazing. Just 12 minutes away, Cedaredge offers charming restaurants, galleries, live summer music, cider tasting, wine bars, and seasonal festivals. Within an hour, explore the Black Canyon, Paonia, Palisade’s wineries and farms, or soak in nearby hot springs. Our mission is to create a space of safety, love, and belonging, where people can reconnect with Nature and themselves. We welcome individuals, families, and aligned groups or retreats. This lovely little home away from home has everything you need to nourish your mind, body and spirit. A large soaking tub surrounded by gorgeous greek tiles invites you to slow down, completely relax and reset to the rhythms of Nature. Our kitchen is well stocked with a new set of ceramic pans and organic spices for you to make nourishing food while looking out over the meadow, forest and mountains. The beds are comfy, one queen and one double. We can bring additional twin beds for extra kiddos. Walk out the back door to a trail that meanders through the forest making you feel like you have stepped into a storybook. The peace is deep and the Milky Way is bright and beautiful directly above us throughout the Summer. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Dragonsong is a 40 acre private retreat center and small community on the south facing slope of the Grand Mesa. Located 20 min from the top of the largest flat top mountain in the world and 12 min from the town of Cedaredge, we are perfectly located for any number of Western Slope adventures. Whether you enjoy hiking, paddleboarding, mountain biking, antiquing, exploring art galleries, hot springs, or winery tours, there is something for everyone within an hour of Juniper House! Off leash, on leash. We have a lot of wildlife on and around the property. If your dog is well trained and with you they are welcome to be off leash. If they start chasing our cat or wildlife we will request that you place them back on a leash. We have bear, mountain lions and foxes, so being on leash at night is best for their safety.

The land and site were beyond beautiful. So relaxing and calm, everything we were looking for in our family getaway. Kaewyn and Jory were such welcoming fantastic hosts! And the tiny home provides everything needed to make your vacation smooth and enjoyable.

Kaewyn’s tiny home is in a great location close to the Grand Mesa. She is also an excellent host! Her home has all the essentials you would need for your trip, and she is a wealth of knowledge and recommendations. Her place is also close to the very cute, albeit very tiny, Main Street in Cedaredge. We especially enjoyed trying the different ciders at Snow Capped Cider house. If you are looking for a unique stay close to outdoor adventures definitely stay here!

We had such an amazing time camping at Dragonsong! The host was so welcoming, making sure we arrived to the right place and was so kind with our kids! The host taught us so much about the local places and made sure we enjoyed our stay. We loved getting to visit “Starlily”, the meditation tent and we enjoyed getting to tour the property as well! We will be back!

What unfolded here was, without exaggeration, the most meaningful and profound experience of my life. Something shifted inside me that I will carry forever. Magical Healing Retreat

Kaewyn and Jory were wonderful hosts with a magical space to share! They were very flexible about our arrival and departure and made us feel completely at home! Their son and dogs were just as sweet as they were. The night sky was magical and they welcomed us to use their tent in the meadow to relax and admire the stars. They have trails on the property so you can walk through the beautiful forest and it is such a nice, peaceful location! Definitely recommend 4wd/AWD but we made it up there in our front wheel drive just fine. The drive there is beautiful too! It was such a treat to be only 25 minutes from so many beautiful lakes and they were happy to provide suggestions, guidance, and were so fun to talk with! We look forward to returning and absolutely recommend Sol Casa to those who enjoy magical, healing earth retreats in the woods!
