The quiet, comfortable accommodations at Juliana's no camping zen teahouse fit our need for a retreat from our urban pace. The view is beautiful. We saw deer and the heard the song of coyotes. The outdoor shower was a very pleasant experience. Juliana's responded in a timely manner to questions.

This is such a beautiful, comfortable, cozy, and relaxing space! I loved the beautiful Japanese tea sets and meditation space as well. I had a great stay here.
I stayed at the Zen treehouse retreat for a solo 10-day meditation retreat. Everything about my stay was perfect. The small fridge along with a cooler that I brought gave me ample space for 10 full days. The outdoor shower worked smoothly. There was access to beautiful walking trails to continue walking meditation. At times there was some gentle neighborhood sounds, but those are always a benefit in my book.

Camper pad under the giant oak
Loved the space! Very clean and cozy and has amazing views.
This is our second time with the Zen Teahouse Studio. We love staying here. It’s a quiet neighborhood and a great landing place with indoor space to spread out a bit, where we have the use of a kitchenette, a bathroom and an outdoor shower, all of witch make our working (we come to town to vend at fairs) camping trips. Juliana is very responsive and easy to work with. The space is clean and quaint and relaxing.

For our Memorial Day getaway, we were looking to have a slightly elevated camp style experience and stumbled upon this listing. Juliana’s studio was just the right mix of cozy and convenient. The sleeping arrangements were perfect and the kitchen was adequate for our needs - though we didn’t cook a lot, we did heat up our food. There was not a microwave, but the hot plate was adequate. The half bath was good and clean as well. The outdoor shower was the one I was slightly nervous about… it does take a slight learning curve but we figured it out after much googling and texting Juliana. We finally figured that the hose bib was outside the studio door, separate from the rest of the set up incl propane tank and heat tap which were in the shower area. The wind kept blowing out the gas so we had to flit in and out of the shower to keep restarting the tap which was slightly inconvenient. It was all good, although if you’re a bit paranoid about privacy like me, you may want to put up some coverings around the shower area for reassurance. All in all, it was a good relaxing stay and I would recommend it highly!

Peaceful location, everything was as described and very clean. Loved the outdoor shower! Juliana was available when needed and responded quickly to all inquiries.
Nice flat RV pad in front of her house on a beautiful and quiet street. The access to a shower, toilet and kitchenette made this an ideal stay for us. 20 min drive to the 101 made it convenient for our needs. Julianna was a responsive host and she made everything easy for us. We would definitely stay here again.
We are so grateful to have found Juliana's Hipcamp listing. We needed to be in SF for a few days midweek, and we didn't feel comfortable bringing our full-time travel van into the city. We also wanted to enjoy the weekends in the Point Reyes area on the front and tail ends of our SF trip. While this listing is for a studio, after understanding our needs, Juliana kindly offered for us to van camp the 1st weekend with access to a full bathroom indoors, Wifi, and a 110-volt plug for our van. In addition, she let us leave our van safely parked during our nights in SF. Then, we returned for a long weekend with access to the studio (bed, indoor toilet/sink, kitchenette, outdoor shower). We didn't use the bed, but only because we love the one in our van. Access to a hot outdoor shower was the best. Juliana's property is peaceful, great for catching up on sleep, and there are a lot of trees for staying cool too. From our van spot, we could walk to the Gary Giacomini Open Space Preserve and hike the Summit Fire Road. Many things we enjoyed were less than 30 min away, including Roy's Redwoods Preserve (10 min), Samuel P. Taylor State Park (10 min), and Bear Valley Visitor Center at Point Reyes (25 min). A couple of small markets with delis are only 5 and 10 min in Woodacre and Lagunitas, respectively. And Union Square was only a 50-min Uber ride. We will absolutely return to this Hipcamp due to its wonderful location, and especially for Juliana's hospitality.
I had a great stay at Juliana's Zen Retreat. The studio space is cozy and comfy and efficiently organized. It was so restful to be in this quiet and clean setting. I especially loved the very comfortable bed with a padded headboard (great for reading) and waking up to the view of the trees and sky through the bedroom window.
I loved learning that Juliana previously owned a tea shop and bookstore.
The selection of teas was delicious and much appreciated. I wish I knew more about each one! I didn't get to visit the Tea Museum in Lagunitas, but maybe another time.
The directions to get to the space were clear and Juliana was very responsive when I had questions or requests. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises!
