They started to convert the land to a lavender farm when they realized that there was more that they should do to enjoy their journey, hence; they incorporated the camping to share this beautiful location with others. It would be helpful if the place was cared for. The shower was over ran with leaves and over grown trees. The shower and porta-potty were filled with spider and webs. The “address” was just a street name and was the wrong spot.

Campsites were level and grass was cut. Overall location was OK, lots of road noise. Camp sites had evening lights that were on when dark which were nice. However, of note, the one port-a-potty was in dire need of emptying and the space needs cleaning to remove vegetative debris and spiders etc. This doesn't seem too much to ask for a $50+ place to stay. Some of the campsites were really run down (broken tables, no fire pit etc.).

Porta potty not serviced and outdoor shower has a willow tree growing in it. Fire rings overgrown and at least one site’s picnic table overgrown. Generally run down and not worth $50/night.

This was our 2nd trip to the Meadows. Very rustic. it is quiet and very relaxing. Close to town so walking is very doable. we had a good dinner at Peters Steak House, it was good, not excellent. However the waitress was a lot of fun and we enjoyed our experience. Juat know when camping at the meadows, the only amentie is the outhouswe.

Overall we had a nice stay. The problem is foxtails. If you have dogs I suggest contacting the host first to see if they are still a problem.

We had a great time staying at The Meadows. Since we were the only guests, we didn’t stay in site 1 and opted for a site (no #) overlooking a vineyard. Great place, peaceful yet very close to town.

We spent one night at The Meadows. Easy to find, super quiet and flat. We walked to town and had a decent dinner at Manny’s. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. A fair amount of mosquitoes around sunset in late October. Good stopover heading south

The Meadows never disappoint. Quiet, safe, park your car or set your tent knowing the sun comes up over the ballpark. No way I stay here without a trip to the Mei Wah tap room. Pack food, go meet Isla, and enjoy an amazing experience.

Great camp spot! Luckily, there was only one other campsite taken, so we felt very secluded. Awesome that it was walking distance to town! It wasn’t the most majestic HipCamp that I have stayed at, but it had everything we needed and I would stay again if I am looking for a spot in the area

Site 8 - The Meadows of Isleton
We were the only campers there that night and our dogs loved the spot, however, the pictures and website of the Meadows were misleading. There are no farm animals, and while there ARE many lavender bushes, it seems the farm is nonfunctional and hasn't been used in a while. There was running water and a sink to do dishes, and the outdoor shower worked (we didn't use it--too cold); there was a porta potty but there were many spiders, including black widows, and so many spiderwebs in the toilet/seat itself that we did not use it. Tons of fox tails and the grass was in need of tending. If you just need a place to crash and don't mind the unkempt feel, it's great. If you're expecting farm life and a more active campground, look elsewhere.

We booked on the day of our stay, got a quick reply assuring us that there was space, and arrived in the evening. We bought a box of firewood with our reservation and really enjoyed a nice big fire ring and a nice picnic table at our site (I honestly don’t know the site # since we were the only campers and were told we could pick any site.) Nice accent lights came on at dark, but unfortunately so did a big spotlight from a building next door, by the baseball field. It was a peaceful meadow to watch the moon rise and set and very quiet. We didn’t need to check out the toilets so I can’t speak to their quality.

No Farm Animals. No Lavender. Windy
Site 7 - The Meadows of Isleton
** NO FARM ANIMALS ** ** NO LAVENDER ** —— It’s a large, flat field that’s next to a busy road, a baseball field, and a Jehovah’s Witness Church. Another reviewer described this place best as a pass-through spot you stay at overnight on your way to your destination. We brought our dogs and they allowed us use the old livestock enclosure (fully fenced) to let the pups play off-leash. There is no shade and the field is overflowing with foxtails (tis the season), but the dogs had fun. Note: even though you’re near water, we were unable to find anywhere local for the dogs to swim. The nearby beach (Sandy Beach) doesn’t allow dogs and the locals warned us of possible giardia in the water. There is no shade. Most of the picnic benches are warped. You’ll see and hear cars all night on the nearby road. The winds were horrible with gusts up to 20+ mph, which kept knocking over the tent. We had to use our cars to help shield the wind. We were unable to cook dinner because it was too windy to use our camping stoves. —— Pro’s: The sunset was pretty. The host was super nice. We had the entire campground to ourselves. There was an outdoor shower, a sink and a porta potty (which seemed fine to me). The host was super responsive and helpful. —— This campsite will suit you well if you’re looking for a spot to crash. No frills. Just a plain field in the middle of nowhere. .

Site 16 - The Meadows of Isleton
This is definitely not a campground, rather a place to pitch a tent. My family was just passing through the area, and we were happy to have views of the orchard next-door. I thought there would be farm animals, but maybe I misunderstood. Or maybe they were on vacation! This is more of a field that’s been smushed down, so we had stickers in all of our gear and clothes that are still showing up after our visit two weeks ago. There was a sink where I was able to do dishes, and because of the summer heat, it was nice to put my head under the water to cool off. There’s even a rustic shower that puts out cold water. One big porta potty available that hadn’t gotten some attention in a while. The camp host was very nice and let me choose between a couple different spaces to pitch my tent. I pre-paid for some wood, but it’s so windy in the evenings. I was kind of worried about sparks from my campfire, starting a brushfire in the field. Maybe I’m being a little paranoid, but it is the beginning of wildfire season…

What we liked about the campground, The willow trees and view was very nice. Over looking a vineyard and seeing the windmills in the distance. Very quit location and extremely laid back. We had a lovely 2 night stay in our RV. withinin Walking distance to town. What we did not like was the bathroom, it is a filthy port-a-potty. We were fine in our RV, however know there are no hookups of any sort. The ground did have some sort of vegetation so it was not dusty. We did feel like we has one of the best spaces, space #1.

Was a nice surprise to find in such short notice. One thing that wasn’t to great was the porta potty bathroom which seems to have been overloaded with waste. I never used but my friend shared it wasn’t too pleasant. We only went for one night, Sunday to Monday so it may have been a few days worth build-up. The host was very cool and let us switch to a different site closer to the bathroom when we got there. Was grateful we could use the firepit. We had our dog and he was cool but Isleton had really no dog-friendly restaurants that were open on a Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend. Overall, I would go there again with a group. Our neighbors had 5 or six people and were very respectful.

A sweet spot to camp nestled near vineyards. The sunset here is spectacular. The sites have fire pits and picnic tables. Our host was quick to respond and attentive. The downtown to Isleton is a 5 min drive. Worth a visit!

My family and I visited the farm in 2021 and the kids enjoyed seeing the animals. Last weekend we were passing through the area and stayed here again. We were disappointed that the animals are no longer there. Now it is just a field where you can park for the night.

What a beautiful piece of land. Very peaceful and quiet. I was only in town for one day. I arrived shortly before the sun went down and what a gorgeous sunset. The host was quick to communicate and very friendly. I came with my dog and we were the only ones in the campground. I found that to be very satisfying to my soul. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.
