Tiny House on tiny Urban Farm
Living an Earth-Mindful Life
Simone & Family are great hosts wanting to ensure you have a great experience in their tiny home! We appreciated how thoughtful they are about maximizing Earth's resources. If this philosophy is new for you, then you are in for a bit of an adventure as you utilize their earth-friendly composting toileg set-up, but if you learn about it from Bryan, it makes total sense! The bed was comfy & the space was sufficient for our needs! Thank you for contributing to our weekend adventures! :-)

Tiny House on tiny Urban Farm
The hosts are GREAT! Very accommodating, friendly, flexible as far as coming and going with respect. We loved their tiny farm and they were very open to sharing their green way of living; two fresh eggs and 2 passion fruits were in a small bowl when we arrived to our tiny house. If you have a vehicle that is larger than a compact car, you will need to park on the street at the end of the long driveway, which was easy for us to do since our bag was on rollers. The beach is a short distance, easily accessible with a short bike ride or jog. There is a small koi pond with a couple of seats just outside the tiny house. Be prepared for a camping feel, basically replace the tent with a tiny house! The wash basin is right outside and the enclosed bathroom with the compost toilet and homemade shower (great hot water) is a short walk around the corner. No TVs or computers, a welcomed weekend to unplug (kinda, we had our phones). Bamboo provides a cozy, private feel and in the morning we were visited outside our sliding door by the free-range chickens. Buttercup and Cotton Candy (goats) warmed up to us by the end of our weekend stay. We biked all over the Balboa Park museums and attended a live, outdoor production of HAIR at The Old Globe Theater. THANK YOU to our wonderful hosts, I am sure we will be back!
