BYOB - Bring Your Own Baño. ----------------------------------------------------- A relaxing place to enjoy the peace and serenity of the area. Wake up to a chorus of birds while the sunrises over the forest. Stay up enjoying the 360 degree star gazing. The property is located east of Occidental in a unique "banana belt" along the USDA 9a/9b climate zones, inside the "Green Valley" Sonoma wine appellation, on a quintessential country lane. Originally settled and farmed in the early 1900's by a family of Italian immigrants, from who the lane is named. One acre is our family compound, two acres are forest preserve, and the other two acres are the orchard - where the parking sites have been integrated. The orchard has many different fruit trees including heritage Gravenstein apples that were originally planted by the family from Italy. The Gravensteins are ripe between mid July to mid August. The orchard borders a forest with old growth Redwoods, Douglas Fir, Bay Laurel, Oaks, and Madrone. Some wildlife passes through the orchard, especially birds. The site offers great star gazing, sun rises, moon rises and access to a charming walk on a beautiful country lane for sunsets. We highly recommend visiting for the Spring bloom in April and May for a temperate tropical experience. A Two minute drive to Occidental, and a twenty minute drive to the beaches of the Sonoma Coast and the Russian River. A great location to explore and enjoy nearby small towns, wineries, dairies, hiking, bicyling, surfing, kayaking, and farmers markets... or just relax at the site, make a picnic, and bask in the tranquility...

Site 2 - Orchard Paradise in Wine Country
Only 3 sites on the property, but each is spaced so you are not too close to the other. I was able to walk among the fruit trees and check out the sites. I liked it so much that I stayed an extra day. Can't wait to come again in the spring. Joseph was cutting branches, so I was able to meet him, and the dogs came to greet us as well! Very relaxed and friendly environment. Thank you for everything you do to make a nice stay.

Very quiet and peaceful night in the apple orchard! We stayed in Site 2 and were able to tuck the van behind some olive trees for a nice secluded spot. Definitely recommend and we will return again!

It was a terrific location to try out our new camper for the first time. We were happily greeted by the owner's two dogs when we arrived and we were not bothered by anyone during our stay. The other two sites are discreetly tucked away and we felt as if we were completely alone during our three nights there.

Old Apple Orchard near Occidental

Beautiful sites surrounded by an old apple orchard. Very quiet, close to Occidental (5 min by car) and only 20 minutes to the coast. No bathrooms. Minimal running water. You need to bring your own (rv best, or potty arrangement). Owner has 2 friendly dogs. They WILL visit you. Our large dog enjoyed them but if your dog(s) is not social, you could have issues. We will definitely return. We are fully set up to camp off the grid.

Quiet and peaceful retreat! Sites are good size with lovely view of the remnants of the apple orchard. Perfect for my wife and I along with our 2 small dogs. We will definitely be back.

It was easy to find. The directions were perfect. It was very peaceful and quiet. The owner’s dogs were friendly and played with my dog. The scenery was beautiful.

Wonderful peaceful quiet spot, site 3 was very private. Very close to the cute town of Occidental, and about 15 minutes to great paddling at Monte Rio. The apple trees were a treat, tons of apples right now! Site 2 was nearby and we could hear our friendly neighbor a little, but the landscaping is really well done so the sites are private. We’ll absolutely stay here again, it’s a nice close getaway from the Bay Area.

We loved this spot! It’s private, peaceful, safe, and hassle free. The orchard has so many fun fruit trees and there’s plenty of space for it to feel like your private oasis. Plus it’s such a short drive to food & shopping which is helpful. Joey was very communicative and very nice. We’d definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay, the land itself is nicely secluded, private and quiet, and also very close to fun things to do. We drove to a public beach on the Russian River just 15 minutes away one day and went to charming downtown Occidental the other day, which is just minutes away and has shops, restaurants, cafes, wine tasting. We also spent some time just relaxing around the camp. Our young kids were very entertained by the orchard. RV amenities worked as claimed: 30A service and water. It was hot and we ran AC, the power proved very stable with normal voltage drop when using high amperage appliances. Verizon cell service was 1 bar: adequate to text and slowly load Google Maps, streaming video was out of the question. You might say it was the perfect amount. The Host, Joseph, was communicative over messaging, friendly, and accommodating. We have a 30' Class A and were towing a dinghy, some of the roads coming in are a bit tight, but doable. Once on the property there was plenty of room to maneuver and park.

It’s the most quiet and peaceful place you can think of. Only three sites with lots of space. We came in a RV so no problem to miss the sanitary facilities. We were the only guests. Hundreds of ripe apples on the ground but - surprisingly - no insects

Lovely quiet spot, very pretty and peaceful. Level ground and easy to get into and out of. Excellent communication and directions. Nice to have water and electrical hookup. I plan to return, definitely recommended!

This is a beautiful, secluded peaceful pocket of heaven out in West County. I only wish I could have stayed another night or two. So many options for day tripping in the area. Just lovely there!
