This was the first time my family and I used Hipcamp. We were not sure what exactly to expect Lucinda’s hospitality was amazing and her land was absolutely gorgeous. It was very quiet and a great place to get away from the bustling city. I would highly recommend Lucinda’s land to anybody looking for an escape. Thank you.

Lucinda and Bruce were awesome folks…very welcoming!
The property is beautiful, especially in the springtime…we stayed in late April, so quite early in their season.
Definitely recommend staying at the ranch if you’re looking for peace and solitude!

Basic camping with no hot water on a beautiful ranch. Nocturnal frogs make noises but otherwise incredibly quiet. Hosts were very helpful and kind.

If you are a nature lover,i would recommend this place,so quiet,peaceful and our host owner was very friendly and helpful,they even come and check once in a while to see if we are okay and they are so generous in offering their boats,if you want to see their barns where the horses are…10 stars!!!

Lucinda was a wonderful host! She had great communication and was waiting for us when we arrived. She even gave us a couple of small gifts (local honey and cheese), which we are currently enjoying. What a lovely surprise!
We camped for one night to watch the Perseid meteor shower and we got a beautiful show. The stars were stunning and the Milky Way was very visible out there. We stayed at #11, but since there were some trees blocking the north eastern area of the sky, Lucinda showed us where we could walk and set up our chairs to watch the shower. Overall she was very accommodating and a wonderful host. The campsite was exactly as described.

First, you will not believe the views and surroundings- like out of a movie! Then the beautiful horses! And last, but least, the most gracious and wonderful hosts you'll encounter, truly. Lucinda and Bruce made our stay so above and beyond....so helpful...so lovely...so mindful of every detail. A fabulous retreat to escape it all, be in secluded nature and wow....THE STARS....unreal. Just the best trip ever, THANK YOU Lucinda and Bruce!

Love this little collection of campsites nestled in between 2 ponds and shaded by Oaks. The views in every direction will calm and inspire you to explore. Lucinda is a terrific host - great communicator and couldn't be more helpful. This spot has a pin in it for us!

Lucinda and her husband were phenomenal. The campsite is remote, with a gorgeous drive and beautiful views. The hosts are very warm and welcoming, even giving us honey and cheese. Our 5 and 3 year old loved the dog, chickens, horses and goat. Couldn’t be happier. Thank you thank you Lucinda.

I was super satisfied with my tent sight as it was out in the open. Perfect for doing some astrophotography of the Milky way and DSO. Except for some gusty winds on the first night, clear skies made it possible for gathering data. Thank you Lucinda for sharing your magical ranch and your warm hospitality.

Lucinda has a beautiful property with everything g you need to enjoy your camping trip! She was amazing at helping us navigate there with our U-Haul and was so sweet when we got there. The crickets, frogs, and stars were the perfect end to a long day!

Lucinda's property is stunning and she couldn't have been a more gracious host. When I needed a last minute place to camp on the final night of a week long road trip, she made it happen. She even gave me homemade white cheddar cheese and honey made by her neighbors which were an extra special treat. YUM!!!

This was a great car camping site for me, my partner, and our dog. The land was beautiful and the site had some really thoughtful basic amenities: clean, potable water, a well-taken care of port-a-potty, solar lights at the end of a creek (no slipping in in the dark!), and some fold out tables. The site descriptions are very accurate, but even with booking in advance, Lucinda led us out to the campsite and let us know we could check out the sites and have our pick. She even touched base about the weather beforehand to inform us about some high winds (so thoughtful). If that wasn't enough, she generously gave us some gifts--local cheese and honey. Great spot, great value, lovely hosts, highly recommend!

Lucinda is a terrific host, who was quick and helpful in her communication. The property is beautiful, offering amazing views to the west and several camp site options to choose from - each with their own grill and fire ring. The out house is clean and the outside shower a welcome option! We will be back for sure!

Lucinda welcomed us with cheese & honey in front of her house and took us to the campsite. She is easy to communicate with and one gem of a person.
Our campsite was near the pond and we watched the sunset in the mountains. All the campsites had a charcoal barbeque and a picnic table. There were no mosquitoes, but if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs as the frogs croak during the night. We went on a cloudy day so missed the stargazing experience. Woke up with birds chirping & it was a delight.
The portable toilet was manageable. Portable water and an outside shower were available.
Got a glimpse of the ranch life when Lucinda took us on a barn tour and we got a chance to pet the horses, she told us about each horse’s personality, all about horses. There were huge roosters and also an amusing goat named Summer. Bruce helped us with firewood and ensured we were having a great experience. Lucinda and Bruce are people with the biggest hearts and they really care for their animals. Highly recommend this place!

If you’re looking for the most peaceful and wholesome camping experience, book a stay Stonyford Ranch! Lucinda and Bruce were incredible hosts and so communicative from booking to the time we left our site. They were extremely hospitable and showed great care for each camper!
Our site was situated by their gorgeous pond and had lovely views of the hills/mountains around us. So peaceful to hear all the birds, frogs, and horses in the distance. The stars at night were incredible.
Each site had a good distance between one another. And every try site had a charcoal bbq and table. The port-a-potty was very clean and there was water/outdoor shower available. There isn’t any cell service and we enjoyed being completely disconnected for the weekend.
Lucinda took us on a barn tour and we got to enjoy all of the amazing animals they care for. Our favorites were attention hungry George, sassy Miss Summer, and the gorgeous roosters!
We are so thrilled we found this spot and hope to enjoy this site again in the near future.

Absolutely beautiful property! The Host are honestly what made our stay over the top, they gifted us local honey and delicious cheese as soon as we arrived and showed us to our peaceful little spot. From there they gave us an awesome barn tour and my 2 year old daughter was so excited she got to pet a horse and a chicken! Can’t recommend enough, we will be back!

Finally made it here after multiple failed attempts due to the weather, and we were so glad we did! Star gazing was truly an epic experience, and we really appreciated Lucinda's hospitality. We got to have a tour of her lovely ranch and learn about how it came to be, and meet all the horses (including Understatement - a No 2 race horse in the whole of US!)
Would highly recommend a camping stay for anyone looking to get away!

This camp is a gem. If you are looking for a gorgeous sunrise, attentive hosts that give you a warm welcome, and spectacular scenery, this camp is for you! The hosts are hard working and generous. We had a mechanical issue, and they helped us resolve it. Staying with Lucinda and Bruce is like being with good friends you’ve known for a long time.

Lucinda is so sweet!!! I arrived just after it rained, close to dark, she brought me a delicious breakfast bread and honey. The spot was perfect for the night and the surrounding mountains are so beautiful in the morning light. I will definitely come back to enjoy the area, since the location has so much to offer.

We had a wonderful trip to Lucinda’s place! She was so kind and welcoming and gave us an amazing tour to meet the horses, chickens and goats. The horses were so good with people, so great to spend time with if you have experience with horses or are just meeting some up close for the first time. The kids really loved the horses! The stars were amazing and we saw so many shooting stars, since it was the time of the Perseoid meteor showers. The drought has been tough on the lakes and streams in this region, but it’s still a special and beautiful place to visit.

The campsite is quite, serene, and away from civilization. Went to see the meteor showers over the weekend and it totally exceeded my expectations. The night sky was phenomenal - nothing like I’ve seen near the city! The sunsets and sun rises were beautiful. Also got a chance to see all the animals and pet their horses. Lucinda and Bruce are super cool and so kind. Overall amazing experience. highly recommend!

This place is the best kept secret in Northern California. Top notch stargazing and so peaceful. Couldn’t ask for better hosts, they helped us out when our camp stove conked out in the middle of dinner and gave generously of their time the next morning to introduce us to the horses. Not to mention local treats that made our stay even sweeter. I would come back anytime!!

We went looking for a site with dark skies for a telescope and Morning Star Ranch was great. We had access to great areas there were clear to the skies, yet our camp site had some great shade and felt a little cozier. Lucinda made us feel very welcome and couldn't have been more on the ball with questions leading up to our trip. We'll definitely be visiting again!
