I arrived at Llama Mama land and was greeted by the lovely host, Tanya and her 2 cute doggies. She showed me where to set up camp and park and then she showed me over to where the llamas and goats are. You actually get to set up camp on the land where the llamas and goats roam, so they may come say hello while you're in your tent!! It's a private little area I set up camp, nestled in between the trees - and super peaceful. The llamas were shy though towards me and I didn't get the chance to pet them.
There is no toilet, so make sure you are packing out! Don't leave trash/waste on her land please!!
There was an electric outlet that I was able to use to charge my phone, that was super helpful.

Tanya is very nice and accommodating. When we first arrived, she helped us find the perfect spot to set up our tent. She had a water hose and an extension cord dragged over to the spot so that we could charge our electronics and have access to water. There are 3 llamas and 3 goats (maybe 4 goats) and they are very friendly. I was petting one of the goats and he was rubbing his head against me like a cat. The only caveat is that he had horns! So a couple of times he was rubbing against me and he almost hooked me! I really enjoyed being near the animals and I only wish that there were even MORE llamas and goats to play with.
One downside is that, while it feels extremely secluded, Llama Land is close enough to a highway that you can hear the highway noise at night, but it wasn't too bad.
The location is excellent as it is minutes from Grass Valley, which is an adorable little town with lots of shops and restaurants. It is also about an hour from the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, which is where we were headed (from Sacramento) so it was perfect.
If you're prepared to "rough it" and you want a quiet place in the woods AND you like animals, you should definitely camp at Llama Land!

Tanya is very welcoming and the animals are full of personality! RV is larger than we thought and we had a great time. Very relaxing!

Quiet+Comfy private space for backyard camping. Lots of space, shade and trees (you can hang your hammock anywhere). Tanya is a fantastic host that's kind and super helpful. She provided us with firewood/kindling, lent us a hose and also a table. She's also got such beautiful llamas and dogs! Come for the llamas. Just be careful of the goats :P the property is also very close to the downtown area of Grass Valley. Worth visiting!

Llama Land
My stayed at Llama Land was brief (1 day and night) but overall was an amazing experience. Tanya was a great camphost and cared about our camp experience. The campsite is clean and well kept. Keep in mind that there aren’t restrooms onsite and there’s minimal privacy. The Llamas were the best attraction and we got the great opportunity to walk them. Highly recommend this campsite. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. Happy camping!

Lamas land lives up to the pictures! My girl friend and I camped there for her first time! Tanya was a great host, friendly and accommodating! Showed us around her land, showed us the prime spots but allowed us to choose where we wanted to set up camp, I recommend up on the hill, great view and surrounded by trees. The land is mostly trees with the underbrush mostly removed. The llamas and goats were super friendly too!
