Welcome to Lichenwood. This is a ½-acre oasis in the redwood forest of Sonoma’s Russian River Valley, with paths, chairs, hammocks, views, and plenty of places to chill. Guests have access to all outdoor spaces including the deck and hot tub, gas grill, hammocks, hot tub, and outdoor shower. The hot tub and outdoor shower are clothing optional and may be shared. There is one bathroom inside the small main house, shared with hosts Rob and Keith. Guests are welcome to use the bathroom, but we ask that trips inside be limited to bathroom use only. Your hosts are two gay men curating a vibe that is is memorable, meaningful, and liberating. We value an atmosphere of freedom, relaxation, and connection with the forest. A few guidelines: - 18+ only. This is an open and permissive environment, but please always be calm, kind, and respectful. We get many return visitors and love when guests become friends. We also respect guests who prefer privacy and ask everyone to do the same. Two "glamping" sites. First, The Taverna. To access, expect to walk down a slope approximately 40 yards with uneven, mulch-covered steps. The Taverna is a space approximately 12x12. Outside it looks like a shed. Inside you'll find a redwood bar with seating for four. The bar is elevated and a full-sized mattress pulls out from beneath the bar to reveal your sleeping space. The Palapa, an elevated platform with hammock chairs. You can place a tent here. You will need to bring bedding. Booking here means acceptance of liability policy, detailed in each listing description. When you book, we will ask for your information to share access instructions and a welcome letter.

This is camping at its most fabulous: a ½-acre redwood oasis in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley with paths, chairs, hammocks, views, and places to chill. Your hosts, Rob & Keith, are two 40-something gay men. Guests may use the deck, grill, hot tub, outdoor shower. The hot tub and shower are clothing optional and may be shared. One bathroom is inside the small main house, shared with hosts Rob and Keith. Guests may use it, but trips inside are limited to bathroom use only. There is no outdoor kitchen or guest refrigerator, so bring a cooler and tub for dishes at the hose. The vibe is memorable, meaningful, and liberating: near the Sonoma Coast, Russian River, and world-class wineries. Your hosts cultivate freedom, relaxation, and connection with the forest. Guidelines: 18+ only. Shower before the hot tub, especially if wearing oils, sunscreen, or lotion. Pee anywhere but in the hot tub. Be calm, kind, and respectful. We welcome friendship and respect privacy. The palapa is an 18x18 covered space with curtains for views or privacy, hammocks, beanbag chairs, and a wooden floor for sleeping. A teepee tent is available. Bring bedding, pads, and camping gear. No stakes. Check-in is 3 PM to 6 PM. Message before booking if that does not work. Only Verizon and Sprint have reliable cell signal. Wi-Fi is on the deck only. Owners have a French bulldog. By booking, you agree to all house rules and our liability policy. Guests are responsible for their safety, conduct, belongings, and property use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, owners/hosts are not liable for injury, illness, accident, loss, theft, property damage, utility interruption, weather, fire, flood, equipment failure, wildlife, road/access conditions, acts of God, or related circumstances. Guests agree to hold owners harmless from claims, losses, damages, costs, or injuries related to their stay, conduct, invitees, or rule violations. Guests must report unsafe conditions or damage and are responsible for losses they cause. Serious violations, including parties, extra guests, noise, smoking, commercial use, early arrival, campers, trailers, RVs, or conduct that risks property, neighbors, or permit, may result in charges, cancellation, removal, deposit forfeiture, and a violation fee up to $750.

Rob is a wonderful host, he was very helpful and friendly. The place is magical and private We felt that we camped in the tee house. . We hope to comeback.

We wanted to stay an extra day near the Russian River and my partner stumbled upon this dream of place. It’s definitely off the beaten path and once we got there we knew we weren’t going anywhere else for the rest of the day and glad we did. Robert was so accommodating and we were looking forward to getting to know him and his cute pup. Had the best time basking in the sun, hot tub and lounging out into the night. The Taverna felt like a little abode that was tucked away on its’ own. Plenty of privacy if you want it. We will definitely be back! ❤️
