300 acres at 6200’ elevation. Located on donner summits west slope. Great views and easy access. The sites are spaced very well from each other to give great privacy. Nestled among large pines and granite boulders. Union Pacific tracks at the southern edge of the property. Developed camp sites with no hookups. 36 holes of Disc golf on property. Seasonal creeks and South Yuba river very close. 20 mins to Kidd lake, cascade lake and donner lake. 5 mins from Donner Summit and miles of hiking. 20 minutes from Truckee. 45 mins from lake Tahoe. Great on site pizzeria. Please no check-ins after 10pm.

A group of us camped and played golf. Beautiful property and some great golf. Perfect getaway from the heat of the valley. Will definitely be back!

Very well thought out site and you get great support from site manager. The site had an amazing view. We had full cell service as well. I would highly recommend and will be returning.

My wife and I reserved a tent site here for one night and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The sites were not close to each other like at other sites. The surrounding environment was also well maintained. Our site was next a creek bed although no water was flowing when we were around, but I'm sure if it were running that it would be very nice! The only negative thing we have to say is that the highway noise was a bit intrusive. Perhaps with the sound of flowing water the highway noise would seem less. Definitely would not pass up on this place though because it was so chill. Oh and the camp host was very helpful and responsive!

The Kingvale campsite provided plenty of space with a large area and a big flat area with bark for a soft place to pitch tents. There were several good hammock hanging spots. The porta potties were clean and the views were nice. Sometimes the freeway noise felt more prominent than desired, but usually it was forgotten in the background.

Nice spot! Really quiet and good for groups. If you like disc golf they have a nice course there. Bathroom are clean which we really appreciated. The pizza place is also a great spot to grab some food and drinks

Sites are spaced apart allowing for privacy. Day was an excellent camp host. Only downside was a little traffic noise from I80. Great spot though. We would definitely return.

Great spot, far enough away from the hustle and bustle of truckee, but yet still close enough to not bother you when you want to go grab dinner. Never got to try to pizza spot but heard it was good.

Plenty of space and privacy at the campsite. Basic amenities, but clean porta-potties and fresh potable water. Played a few fun rounds of disc golf on the property as well. Great location, but the constant roar of I-80 was a nuisance as was the 5am train that would go by every night blowing its horn. Earplugs help. Close to several lakes and swimming holes and right off the freeway.

We had an incredible camping experience at Kingvale Campground. The spot is up in the mountains, where you’re surrounded by beautiful forest. We had a great time at the spring/creek right at the site and also spent a great afternoon by the beautiful emerald pools just 15 min from the site. One of the best parts was the night sky—we saw the Milky Way so clearly, it was stunning. The campsite itself was really clean, between some nice trees and had great views of the mountains. The toilets were spotless, and the whole place was just really well taken care of. If you’re looking for a chill spot to camp out and enjoy some incredible scenery, Kingvale Campground is definitely worth checking out. Big thanks to Day, the host for showing us around the property and making sure our stay was great. We’ll definitely be back!

Kingvale is in a picturesque setting with large campgrounds and great views. The downside is it's very close to Interstate 80 and an active railroad so be ready for the noise of traffic and trains 24 x 7

Really great spot. Large sites, spread out from other campers, and easy access off the highway. Was able to take trails from campground over to cascade lakes and associated hiking trails (note that you will be hiking through private property.) Stopped at the nearby pizza shop on our way out for a delicious lunch. We will be back!

Very convenient location to Donner Summit and Truckee. Spacious sites with plenty of room to spread out. The white noise of 80 is pretty constant but dies down by 10. I'd stay here again.

The site is easy access, clean, and well managed. Between the uprr rr and i80 its a bit noisy - so not a pristine sierra experience but an easy stop if you are on the way to somewhere else.

We enjoyed camping at Kingvale! It was very clean and very private. The only thing that was needed was a place to dump trash near the campsite.

Great spot for overnight as I was passing through on I-80. Campsites were large and private. It was a little close to the highway but the tress and a nice hiking trail to a nearby lake made up for that.

Camp host was amazing and very informative as we've never been to the area. The sites were very well kept and tranquil. I highly recommend it to any especially if your a disc golfer or mountain biker.

We generally enjoyed our stay at this campground. It has a nice forested area, a water spigot near the entrance, our camp site had a picnic table and a nice view, and the camp sites are fairly separated. There were porta potties available that were clean. The campground is also near a gas station and pizza place, which is convenient. The one small downside is that the campground is quite close to the highway so you hear traffic. FYI, you take a dirt road to access the campground so you might want to have AWD (although the dirt road was fairly well maintained when we went).

We enjoyed camping at Day's land. We arrived there after hours and our host met up with us on the road and guided us to our campsite. It was a great ample location. We were able to hang both our hammocks there as well as our tent and cooking area and still had extra room for kids to play. The restrooms were near by and very clean. This campsite was 15 min away from Donner Lake Marina where we spent the day. Campsite was very easy to get to and host responded quickly to all questions I had, which I appreciate. We will be back and have already recommended this place to our friends and family.

Had a great two days at Kingvale. Site #2 was spacious, well shaded and far removed from other campers on the expansive property. Day was responsive and helpful with any questions and instructions were very clear. Kingvale is only about 20 minutes from Truckee and even closer to PCT trailhead and Donner Lake. Highly recommend!

Absolutely stunningly beautiful! Site 3 is very private. It was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. There is a pizza place right by the entrance that is amazing as well. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for peace and quiet getaway!

We enjoyed our time at this spot. The site felt private. Super clean bathrooms. It is near water so it was very buggy, just be prepared with deet! Even though you could hear the highway a little it still felt peaceful. The hosts were all wonderful and made us feel very welcome! The pizza place nearby was also delicious! Would recommend.
