Camp at the goat farm
Confirm your stay
Unfortunately reservation went without confirmation and both Hipcamp and I couldn't reach the host so I had everything all packed up and nowhere to go. Things happen... but when you're traveling with kids, it's a huge bummer and expectation squasher.

Camp at the goat farm
The goat camp was a very unique and fun experience! It was an authentic and educational weekend on a working farm.
The hosts were very welcoming (including their sweet doggos!) and gave us a tour of the farm. We were able to roam the meadows surrounded by picturesque mountains, visiting the goats and watching them graze. We then saw the milking process and how cheese is made. We learned a lot! I’ve told so many people what an adventure it was, and took home some super fresh and amazing cheeses.
The location of the farm is perfect for day trips to kayaking or vineyard roaming. We found several farm stands in the area to pair our cheeses with fresh tomatoes. It’s truly a local farm to table experience to enjoy the tastiest and freshest ingredients, made that much better by gracious hosts.

Camp at the goat farm
Wonderful stay
Writing this and snacking on some delicious goat milk cheese from the farm :-). We had a wonderful time, the property is beautiful, and the Javier’s family is really welcoming. We learnt about the process how to make cheese, met the goats, saw how the goats being milked, how they hang out on the fields, how they rest. There are three friendly dogs on the farm, which accepted our dog right away. Overall good experience! I wish Javier’s family prosperity and health! I hope to come back again.

Camp at the goat farm
I really enjoyed my stay at the farm. The hosts were warm and welcoming and took the time to show us around the farm and explain the milking and cheese-making process. The farm animals made our stay extra memorable. We had lots of cuddle time with the farm's amazing dogs and cats. We left the farm with the freshest goat cheese and veggies from their garden, which was an extra special treat. I would definitely recommend staying at the goat farm if you want some quality time with four-legged friends and are interested in learning about a sustainable goat farm and cheese production. What a special place!

Hangin' with the animals💖
If you love animals, you'd probably enjoy being here. The goats are fun to watch, and the dogs are sweet. There are two friendly cats (one had a sleepover in our tent)😁 Our stay was more quiet then a lot of busy state parks, we left our rain fly off for some great stargazing. The hosts are kind, it was neat to see their milking facility, and I enjoyed all the details I learned about the farm from their kids' perspective.
We visited Upper Blue Lake. We paid a day use fee I felt was worth the visit. The water in that lake is pretty and feels nice. There is camping there too, but it's busier and you can hear the highway.
If you do decide to camp here, bring ear plugs or you will get woken up multiple times by the dogs barking.
