Our property is just minutes from Mendocino's beaches, parks and sweet town, yet private and quiet as it is surrounded by 50,000 acre state forest with world class hiking and biking trails directly accessed from our place. Around the giant redwoods and meadows we have sprinkled in the most amazing little cabins, camp sites and deluxe bath house. We have a great outdoor camp kitchen available for your use. The redwood tree shower must not be missed! This is a very special experience for us to share with you. We are a family of campers. We agree, there's nothing better than a rest in a hammock following a hike or a beach day and a night under the stars without the constant dinging of cell and internet! Guests love staying here: "Such a lovely getaway! Our family of four and little dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heartwood. The cabins are great, with comfortable (warm) beds, very clean and cozy. It’s well worth the visit even in the winter! Really appreciated being outdoors surrounded by Redwoods, hiking the trails around the property, the modern bathrooms with hot showers, and the indoor sitting area to make coffee in the mornings. Our stay was relaxing, memorable and special!"

This site is flat and easily accessible with a beautiful hand made redwood picnic table and dappled sunlight. You have access to all of the Heartwood facilities including our luxurious bathrooms, the common room and the outdoor camp kitchen. The redwood tree shower is also available for your use. You don't want to miss it! This site is offset from the cabins, but has visibility to the larger grounds. This site can hold up to 4 people and one vehicle. Please make sure to add your total headcount to your booking. The campfire area is in the middle of the property and it is used by all of the guests. No fires allowed at individual campsites

Great campsite. Khamoors land was very unique and clean. Perfect place for anyone who wants in the need to get away to the mountains. Clean restrooms and showers. Amazing outdoor community kitchen and dishwashing station, with two fridges to keep food cold. I will definitely be back, highly recommended.

This place is really well done! Love the nice warm showers, toilets, and lots of supplied firewood. It does have a communal feeling, seeing as how there is only one large firepit, so keep that in mind.

Cabin 1

Heartwood Mendocino is a wonderful spot for a glamping trip in the woods. The canvas tent/cabin is cozy, and the heated bed is the perfect thing to snuggle up in on a cold coastal night. The tree stump shower is also indescribably cool to use since you can loop up and be surrounded by the redwoords. All together it creates a magical atmosphere out in the woods.

Words can’t quite capture how special this place is. The cabin we stayed in was spotless—immaculately clean—and clearly built with love and incredible attention to detail. Every morning, I woke up in awe, admiring the craftsmanship and the thoughtfulness that went into creating such a warm, magical space. The grounds are equally stunning—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for soaking in the natural beauty around you. And if you’re a hiker, runner, or mountain biker, this is a dream location. You can leave your car parked and hit the trails straight from your cabin door. Truly one of the best stays I’ve had. Can’t wait to come back

Quiet and tranquil outdoor spaces. Many nice touches found throughout camp. The decorative plants , flowers , little nice flowers in bathrooms. The wooden tables and sectioned off areas with their own themes .

Amazing area the shower is a must see unique feature but the place is so much more. I only had a short time to enjoy it but will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. Host was responsive to all questions! Make sure you ask any questions prior to getting there due to cell reception.

We booked this campsite as a respit and a way to regroup after 5 days exploring the redwoods up north. I have to say it exceeded all expectations! I was hoping for a clean shower, but didn't expect a heated bathroom and my favorite soap waiting in the shower. (Bathing Culture). This place was full of little details that were all so carefully thought out, from the shower in a redwood tree to the little ferry lights that magically came on at dusk. We somehow ended up being the only ones in the resort on a thursday night and it was magical waking up with the sun shining down on the dew covered grass. Just a beautiful spot and the highest quality experience. Thanks!

We loved our stay. The campsite itself was simple and well-kept with a nice picnic table and a flat space for our tent. The communal resources, however, were exquisite! There is a communal outdoor kitchen with some basics along with another indoor space with a coffee maker and refrigerator. The bathrooms were very clean as well. Not to mention, the outdoor redwood shower was certainly the highlight of our stay! Tim, one of the owners, visited us to check in and was very kind; he takes a lot of pride in this space. We will 100% be coming back!

Everything about this place is whimsical and lovely. Major bonus on the super clean bathrooms. Only thing I had an issue with was the smell of the cabin itself, but I think that might be because of the material it’s made out of? But I’m also someone who gets really weird with smells, so others might not even notice. But the cabin itself was great and had small things like a space heater, a mirror and ledge by the door, and hangers. And the heated bed helped me stay warm even though it was cold out.

Beautiful Grounds. Immaculate bungalows. Nearby, ultra clean bathrooms and showers. Provided firewood! Kitchen amenities! And a wonderful host! Khamoor, thank you for having us. We would love to visit you again, maybe next time with more friends!

This place is amazing. Very peaceful and a great way to unplug but still have amenities. The host was very friendly and the area is very clean. We brought our dog and he loved the area, very pet friendly. Would recommend and we are definitely returning!

Heart of Mendocino

Heartwood was exactly what the Dr ordered - relaxing, so so so comfortable (that bed 🥰 those sheets 🥰), and just pure magic. Everything was curated to ensure our stay was amazing. The bathrooms were super nice and clean. The common area had fun games (beat my husband at Uno a few times 😌), the outdoor kitchen was super cute and looked easy to use (we didn’t get to use it since it was our 1st time in Mendocino and we opted to try all the local restaurants) and they had refrigerators you could place your perishable items in, which I thought was super thoughtful. The location is about a 5 min drive from the little downtown area of Mendocino and 10-15 min drive to the famous landmarks. It may not have had the ocean view but being surrounded by beautiful trees and a clearing where you can lay your blanket and chill by the fire, reading a book or just enjoying nature, more than made up for it. We loved it so much we’re already talking to our family about taking them here. Thank you Heartwood for a wonderful stay ❤️

Amazing glamping experience! Plenty of trails to explore nearby and super close to town without feeling like you are in the town. The amenities all worked above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back!

Camp Wonderful.

Amazing place! Our kids call it camp wonderful and did not want to leave. All facilities are clean and cabin was perfect for our family of four. The setting is amazing and kid friendly. Roasted s'mores, walked the gnome trail(just ask), and watched the slugs. We will be back again.

This camping/glamping is not to be missed! All the touches to make it extra beautiful and comfortable are really nice and we will definitely be back. Our favorite part (2 adults, 2 kids and a dog), was curling up in our warm, cozy, heated beds each night and reading by lantern light. What a nice break from reality! And don't miss the beautiful outdoor shower.

Redwood Camp Site

Entire property was gorgeous. LOVED The communal areas and amenities. Bathrooms and common areas were spotless. I tent camped and loved my site- clean, flat, and relatively private. All the cabins looked super cute as well!
