Nominated one of the best Hipcamp glamping sites to visit in the US. Our certified organic, certified humane, regenerative agriculture farm is located in Gazelle, CA. We’re a short, picturesque, 15 minute drive from Interstate 5. Our Hipcamp site is approximately 25 minutes from the town of Mt. Shasta, CA. Rocky Mountain Elk, Golden Eagles, barn owls, cattle, and pigs all call our farm home. Whether you enjoy fishing, hiking, or just like to experience the outdoors, a lifetime of exploration awaits you in the adjacent national forests. If you ever wished to hike a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail, or explore the more wild parts of Northern California, a number of wilderness areas are within a 2 hour drive of the farm. Siskiyou County and the rivers that run through the area are known for world-class fly fishing. To the north, Ashland, OR is an hour drive if you enjoy fine-dining, wine tasting, or theater. Ashland is home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. We do provide a list of recommended local dining options, grocery stores, and easy hikes to enjoy the area as part of your stay. With views of Mt. Shasta, enjoy a night under the Milky Way. Our canvas tents sit on a 12’x14’ platform. Each tent is furnished with two double-beds with all bedding provided, a leather backed chair, cowhide throw rugs, as well as a battery powered lantern. Tents can accommodate 2-4 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children. Due to our site’s capacity, do not exceed four persons in each tent. Under our gazebo you’ll find our communal meal prep area which has a counter for prep, a hot plate with two burners, as well as an outdoor sink (please clean up your cooking essentials & food after each meal as everyone shares this space). Our grilling area, adjacent to our gazebo has three Traeger Grills (pellets provided), and two Santa Maria outdoor grills for charcoal wood fire. Guests are required to bring their own cookware, and utensils. We have three full-service restrooms with showers, toilets and sinks that are communal. Towels are provided as part of your stay. Our site is cleaned and sanitized Monday-Friday. You’ll also have access to our orchard and greenhouse as part of our Hipcamp U-Pick program. All of our produce, and orchards are 100% organic. We have electricity available under our gazebo to charge devices. Additionally, cell service on all major carriers is very good. In addition, we have a public wi-fi network suitable for any work that may accompany you to our farm. We sell the meat that we raise on our certified organic farm. Choose from our 100% grass fed beef, as well as our certified organic pork. You can add your purchase as part of a Hipcamp Extra. Our quiet hours are between 10:00pm - 6:30pm. We ask that you respect the peace, quiet and solitude that our farm offers. We look forward to hosting you on our farm.

The bedding, tents, and bathrooms were great, nice and clean.. My only complaint was that there was absolutely no outdoor lighting, which made doing everything at night very difficult.

Best Stars I've ever seen!

We had a fabulous evening at Michael's place. We were the only campers there and the stars that night were beyond amazing! There were coyotes howling and yipping and the air was crisp and cold and it felt like a slice of the old West! Bathrooms were very clean with nice hot showers too. And the tents themselves were super clean and well-appointed. The beds were seriously the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on too. Don't hesitate if you like to be 'out' and more remote.

A wonderful glamping experience

The location is remote and beautiful. Check-in was seamless. The tents are very comfortable, and bathrooms are clean and convenient. We loved the outdoor seating / cooking area and enjoyed the lawn. We'll come back again, hopefully when the orchard is in full bloom! Make sure to enjoy the stars – it's a striking night sky.

Spending the night at Belcampo Farms was such a peaceful experience! I got the whole site to myself and saw Mount Shasta at sunset which was gorgeous. Michael was responsive to my inquiries. I definitely would come back and glamp here again.

Beautiful farm and comfy beds

Such a beautiful property! The tents were well accommodated and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the views and picking some fruit. The showers and bathrooms were very clean and convenient. My only caveat: there was a U-pick event in the morning . While it was a lovely event, we were woken up before 7am with dozens of people coming through, just steps from our tent. I would have loved an FYI and perhaps even a recommendation to stay at a tent further from the entrance to the event. Again , I understand it’s a working farm, but a heads up would have been appreciated. Other than that , it was a nice stay with easy directions and check in.

Such a gorgeous, elevated experience. Amenities and common areas were great, the space was so quiet and private, and directions were helpful and check-in very easy. Nothing beat watching the sunset and sunrise from the yard overlooking the stunning farmland. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Hidden Gem in Mount Shasta

We absolutely loved our stay at Bel Campo farms over the July 4th weekend. We stayed in Freedom Ranger which had the best location - secluded and quiet enough but also not too far from amenities. The beds were extremely comfortable and warm, and we enjoyed using the outdoor cooking grills the night we arrived. Michael is a great host - he’s welcoming, friendly and down to earth, and he never hesitates to respond to any questions you may have about l the farm/camp and Mount Shasta. This is a hidden gem, and we would absolutely love to come back.

Great overnighter

Nice tents, great mattresses, great bedding (the European style, ideal for tent camping!), quiet, lots of nature around, plus scenic Mt. Shasta in the backdrop, good picknick area. Convenient distance to I 5: Just a few minutes drive to the camp, but far enough to not being disturbed by traffic noise. Not so good: Relatively long distance from tents and cars to the picnic area if you have a lot to carry. No seating outside the tents. Depending on taste: Miles of flat farmland around.

The farm is beautiful! Looks like an awesome event space. I was rent camping and they have platforms which are nice. But it was super windy when I arrived and Michael helped me find an alternative spot so I could stake my tent down. Beautiful space and friendly host!

A real gem!

This is by far the most beautiful place I've ever stayed. The views of Mt Shasta are glorious and one can feel the power of this majestic mountain that brings lots of positive energy to this farm. I love all the birds and deer and the experience of being on this lovely working ranch. The gardens are so pretty with all the flowers and the orchard is delightful. I look forward to coming back again and again! It's such a privilege to stay at this lovely farm with amazing views of the mountains and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.

This was a very beautiful site, and the tents were spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean, and the grills were a nice touch. It's a quiet and peaceful site, with a spectacular view of Shasta. One drawback, however, was that we specifically chose this HipCamp based on rave reviews of the fruits and vegetables available to pick. At the time we went, there was nothing available. I wish this was better communicated.

Remote & isolated, not best value

Overall an okay stay at Belcampo, but I'm surprised at the glowing reviews. The place is quite remote & isolated & there's not much to see and do around there. For a few more bucks a night I've stayed at camps with much nicer and welcoming amenities. I feel this wasn't really worth the price. Pros: -nice tents and cozy interior -flush toilets & warm showers -nice orchards & gardens (though nothing to harvest at the time of my visit) Cons: -isolated & not so welcoming (no one was there to greet me or show me around + no one to check you in/check you out) -tents are right by the road which means noise + bright headlights at night -bring everything you need because there are no stores around -as a solo traveler & young woman I didn't feel completely safe there as the camp was completely empty when I arrived on a Friday night (no other campers or staff) I imagine that at other times I would have had a better experience, but I probably won't be returning.

Overall, it is a nice place to live. This place has a good views. You can see the farms and mountains and there are a lot of good hiking areas. The bathroom is clean and they provide the grill and related equipment if you want to do BBQ. I would say you need to check the weather before you come. There is no light and heating system in the tent, so it would be very cold during the night. I can't fall asleep at the first night since it is very windy.

Great place to unwind. The camp was very spacious with two beds. The grill and the common space for kitchen was helpful for our stay. We just needed to bring our own kitchen utensils and food. Great view of mount Shasta from the camp site.
