Had an amazing time in this camper. Matt was very communicative and compensated when he addressed a minor issue before we even checked in! It was amazing being able to see the stars and wake up to the sunlight through the camper. The campfire was in a perfect spot to make s’mores. The portable bathroom was easy to use and we had a ton of privacy. Definitely would recommend.

Matt's camper was the best experience! I had such a wonderful night with my partner after a great dinner at the local park spot. We kept our night at the fire telling stories of our trip. Thank you Matt and hip camp for the greatest end of summer beginning of fall experience!

Great spot for a short stay in Aptos. So beautiful and pretty close to everything. I had been camping at the city park but decided to treat myself on my last night. Really glad I did.

Really cute camper, in a idilic setting. We loved the originality of the camper, small but practical, and a surprisingly comfy bed! Matt was easy to communicate with, and everything was as described. Would recommend!

Matt's place was perfect for a cute weekend getaway. It was easy enough to find the place with provided directions and Matt gave us a warm welcome. The place we great and as described. We had a cozy evening at the fire pit. Would come back again if we were in the area.

i absolutely love coming here. i usually book last minute and matt always accommodates. the camper is always cozy and comfy, no matter when i stay. i loved the late night around the fire pit watching the moon and early morning around it as i listened to owls and doves and crickets wake up. its always so quiet and peaceful. truly just a wonderful not far from home reset.

We loved our stay at Fern Ridge Camper! It had everything we needed and was so cozy. We especially enjoyed our access to the firepit and private outdoor space. Matt was friendly and kind and made sure we were comfortable. Thank you so much!

Matt’s camper was great, cute and cozy. Just be aware that there is only one table outside if you want to rent the griddle. We wished the table was bigger!

This was a great, little, rustic, camper hideaway! Felt very private and comfortable. I slept well and enjoyed both the fresh air and sounds of nature (birds, honey bees in the shrub outside). Easy to get to the beach and Aptos Village before retreating back to this charming location.

Easy check in and great space. The trailer is old but everything still worked well. The bathroom is a composting toilet and that worked fine for myself but my lady was not use to using one. All in all I loved my stay!

I loved my night in the camper. It’s rustic, but charming and the bed is comfy. I was treated to rain on the aluminum roof, frogs croaking, and plenty of bird song, along with views of the misty Redwoods. I wasn’t really able to utilize the outdoor table and fire pit because of rain, but that was fine for my brief visit. I basically just needed an affordable place to crash overnight, and I got that plus some much needed tranquility and nature therapy.

Very beautiful and peaceful retreat! The flowers smelled lovely. The stars were stunning!!! It was a narrow winding road to get to but fine to drive if you’re confident on those types of roads. The camper was comfy without a heater even though it was chilly at night outside! We enjoyed making coffee with the hot water kettle and my aero press. Would definitely stay again!

Cozy little spot - we loved sitting by the gas fire pit reading and sipping wine. We were toasty in the camper despite it being chilly at night.
It was a great location to depart from to explore Big Sur and area for the weekend.

Fern Ridge Camper
Beautiful little spot! My 6 yr daughter and I had a blast. We were so cozy and relaxed, listening to the rain patter on the roof. The bed is super comfortable! Enjoyed the fire in the evening, and did some wonderful day trips to the surrounding beaches and forests. This spot is the perfect little adventure and getaway.
