Ettawa Springs Resort dates back to the 1920s and 30s like the fashionable resorts in the Cobb area where the rich and famous came to play. But Ettawa was oriented towards families and a more relaxed and rustic atmosphere. We are working hard to restore her to her former glory. We are excited to announce that we have a few campsites ready for use and will be adding more as we go. We offer hot showers and flush toilets, two sites in the Glade have running water. You can hike through our property to the Cobb Mountain Demonstration Forest or just enjoy the clean air and listen to the wind and the birds. On clear nights the stars put on an amazing show. Clear Lake is about 45 minutes away with all the fishing and water sports you could ask for. Harbin Hot Springs are 15 minutes away and they offer day passes for reasonable rates. We are located about 20 minutes outside of Middletown. Be aware that half of the road is dirt (and that's better than the asphalt half) all of it is fine for small cars, just take your time. The last 1/2 mile or so is a one lane road, so please be careful of opposing traffic and uneven surfaces. We cannot accommodate vehicles longer than 28’ on these roads. Please do not take County Road 110 from Boggs/Cobb - it is not maintained at all. We offer California camping at its finest. Fresh air, whispering trees, amazing star fields . . . this can mean the less attractive side of nature as well. We have ticks, rattlesnakes, stinging things, poison oak, uneven trails and surfaces, and a bear on one ridge with mountain cats on the other (no sign of either in the campground). We keep the restroom stocked with tick spray and Tecnu for the poison oak, but please watch yourselves and especially children. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on lead for their own protection and the comfort of others. We are fairly hands off in our hosting approach. Unless there's a question or problem, you likely won't see us. But we have people close by and are only a message away.

A private finger off of the Glade, Site 5 has plenty of room for a large vehicle and a good sized tent. The views down the canyon are spectacular. The flat space nestles under the hill which provides shade in the afternoon. The restrooms and water spigots are close by. Kick back, listen for the birds and the wind in the trees and enjoy the view!

Tent Site 8

Site 8 is a long, flat finger just past the end of the paved road. It is shaded on both sides by tall trees. It is long enough to pull your car in and pitch your tent. There is no water at this site, but clean water is available at the restroom, a spigot on the exterior wall of the restroom, or in the Glade. Propane stoves are OK, but no open flames June through October.

Site #7 in The Glade is open and flat with a wonderful pine tree for shade. It is a quick trail from the restroom. It is next to #4 and can be booked together for a large party.

Site 6 snugs up against the hill at the back end of the Glade, keeping the site in shadow through the early and late parts of the day. The site is open and flat giving plenty of space for a larger vehicle or a couple of tents. With wide open view of the entire Glade, the kids can explore and still stay in sight. There is easy access to the restrooms and water spigots are close by. This site has no table.

Most quiet and remote campsite I've been to so far! Very peaceful with the noise of water in the background, and the good amount of trees and plants provided great privacy. The bathroom was clean, hot water, flushing toilet, and well lit at night (just beware there are little critters around the bathroom, but harmless) A little further from the main town to get to (which takes about <20 minutes from Middletown), and the road there is a bit of an adventure since half of the road is dirt with some potholes. Overall, a good campsite for a getaway, explore around the area, and escape to be with nature.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Nora and Bill’s campsite. Before arriving, we received clear and helpful instructions, which made our late check-in smooth and stress-free—especially appreciated the cozy café lights that were set up for the darker time! I was personally impressed by the exceptionally clean and spacious restrooms, thoughtfully separated for gentlemen and ladies. The attention to detail, especially the inclusion of women’s hygiene essentials, was heartwarming and showed genuine care from the hosts 💖. During our three-night stay, we spent each evening stargazing under a breathtaking sky, surrounded by peaceful nature and quiet beauty. It was the perfect escape. It was also a pleasure to meet Bill and their incredibly smart and beautiful dog when they stopped by to make sure we were settled in comfortably. That personal touch made us feel truly welcome. We would absolutely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a serene and well-maintained place to enjoy the outdoors. Thank you, Nora and Bill!

Nora and her husband are such a sweet couple! We had the most wonderful time in campsite 8. Great location- close to the restrooms but still had privacy. You could hear the babbling creek nearby and so many places for the pups to sniff. If you are looking to find some peace and quiet, amazing stars, while being able to enjoy a hot shower, this is your spot. If you are looking for a RV park, this is not. We will be back for sure!

I loved that site 5 had the perfect view point of the meteor shower, at the distant edge of the site. I was able to watch the stars from my tent. The bathrooms are very clean, and easy to get to. The camp site is kinda small, but we were able to fit two cars, and felt like we had plenty of room, with the goal of our trip being to watch the meteor shower. We had enough shade on our site!

I had a great stay on Nora’s land! It was beautiful camping surrounded by mountains. The bathroom was clean, and it was nice having a shower available. Nora was communicative in advance and gave clear directions.

Beautiful area that the owners are gradually restoring. We stayed at Glade 5 which has a few other sites nearby, however the weekend we went we had the entire grounds to ourselves. A full bathroom and shower with hot water was amazing! Grounds were clean and well-maintained. Hosts were very welcoming along with their furry friend who came to say hi. The area would also make for a great group camp site. Just a short drive from Clearlake, definitely recommend!

We had a good weekend at Nora’s land! It was magical seeing all the bright stars in the sky after turning off the lights at night and waking up with the sounds of woodpecker’s on the trees was a wonderful feeling! Also having a functioning bathroom with shower was a plus!

We loved it. Quiet and beautiful at night. A million stars. Only wish was if it wasn't soo hot last week. We saw deer, wild turkeys, prairie dogs and a red fox. Camp site was perfect.

We were in glade site 5 which is a tongue that sticks out from a group of campsites so is more private. We had a 4 person and two person tent and there was just enough flat space for both. Great views and access to power for charging devices and water, trash/recycling. Two picnic tables were on site but not our site specifically so plan accordingly- two of the other sites had campers with families so it would have been helpful to bring our own tables (not a big deal as everyone was willing to share). Convenient to a very clean bath house that had shampoo and soap and it was fun walking around the property and checking out the old campsites that are being restored. About 35 min drive to Harbin. We came up via Cobb so beware of Google changing navigation - we ended up on a made of fire roads that took and hour to get down to Ettawa Springs Road - if you go past the Calfire station on a dirt road that’s the wrong (or perhaps I should say, most adventurous way). Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed this site with camping friends who rented site #4 right next to us. This site had relatively flat sites that were a short walk away from the restroom/showers. Having a water spigot, power, and cool hanging lights made the experience even better. We were close to Lower Lake and Kelseyville to grab supplies if needed. Even closer to a location where we found some Lake County "diamonds" which the kids enjoyed.

We wish the site would have been more suitable for tents and not just VRs. The ground was pretty full of weeds which made cooking and chilling more difficult. However, the view was very nice and the site was really calm.

I can tell there’s been a big effort to rebuild the campsites, but without access to the creek or any clear trails to hike, we opted to leave after one night. We did find the leak in the water pipes easily and wish the hosts much luck in its repair.

It was a really peaceful spot to camp, woke up to some quail chirping in our campsite and there were wildflowers everywhere. The bathroom was super clean, and the photos of the entrance driveway really helped us find where to go. It might be tricky to find your way around if you arrive in the dark, but we came in early to set up and didn't have any issues!

Great place to camp with our RV. The hosts are helpful and friendly. The camp sites are tidy; ours had even been raked clean of leaves. And it was a peaceful and pretty place. We stayed 2 nights.

Loved the campsite. Amazing views and very peaceful. Site 5 was a great spot, a bit more secluded than the other sites. The bathrooms were close to the campsites and very clean. Looking forward to returning to the Glade!

We had a great time camping at the Glade! Restrooms were super clean, our spot #5 had a beautiful view of the valley, picnic table was present and plenty of space! Beautiful environment to hike and enjoy a swim at Clearlake! Would definitely come back!

I was lucky and only one other camper showed up but the sites are very close to each other. I would recommend renting the entire clearing out at a higher price. I really like the spot and the view. My second suggestion might not be easy to execute. I went there to see a meteor shower in a dark sky. The sky was dark but the light to the bathroom structure is very bright. Maybe a timer that turns off at 10pm? Motion sensors? Anyhow, great communication and way above average directions.
