Monterey Hostel offers clean, safe, and memorable overnight lodging where travelers can connect with one another, share resources to reduce their impact on the planet, and experience the natural beauty of the Central Coast. We are a nonprofit lodging provider committed to making Monterey Bay more accessible by offering communal and private lodging to school groups, families, and travelers. LOCATION We are located just a few blocks from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, and the beach. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi (available indoors and in our courtyard only) and a communal kitchen (available until 10 p.m.), dining room, laptop counter, outdoor deck, and courtyard. PLEASE NOTE Monterey Hostel is located in an urban neighborhood. This is a simple parking area, not a campground or RV park. Guests should expect shared spaces, city lights, and occasional street noise. We are operated by HostelingOn, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to preserve and promote the hostel movement. Hostels help connect people of all ages and cultures so they can experience and learn about local communities through travel, shared adventures, and sustainable tourism.Stay in a central Monterey location just minutes from the coast, Cannery Row, and the gateway to Big Sur. This is a simple, convenient option for vanlifers who want a safe place to park and stay with access to an indoor dorm bed, hot showers, a shared kitchen, and welcoming community spaces. Whether you’ve been hiking, surfing, diving, or working remotely on the road, our hostel offers a comfortable base to reset and connect with fellow travelers before your next adventure. This reservation includes overnight parking for one standard-sized campervan in our open lot and shared dorm lodging for 1 person. Your stay includes: • Access (for 1 person) to a bed in a shared dorm with other travelers • If a 2nd bed is needed, please message us to book! • One parking space (max vehicle length 20 ft) • Access to bathrooms and hot showers • Bath towels available by request • Shared indoor lounge and outdoor courtyard (7am to 10pm) • Communal kitchen access (7am to 10pm) • Gas BBQ and shared firepit (7am to 10pm) • Complimentary tea and coffee • Free WiFi in indoor common areas Please note: Monterey Hostel is located in an urban neighborhood.
