Caribbean Mojave Escape

It was in the same area as the Highway 62 Art Tour sites (weekends Oct 1 - 21) and not far from Joshua Tree National Park. There are a couple of houses within 1/2 mile. I enjoyed staying there and the dark night sky and the stars.

Unfortunately this site was much in residential area. The house across was playing music so loud the whole weekend! The host said free wood but theres none. Good thing we had our own. The portable restroom was clean. Theres a dog running around dont know if its the host dog or stray. Site A and B were to close together as well we could hear the other group from site B. At night time you can see all the lights from the neighborhood so dont expect to star gaze

Great spot just off the town—perfect for a quick weekend getaway with easy access to towns and the national park. We booked last minute over a holiday weekend, and the owner was responsive. The site was flat and easy to access with any vehicle; our rooftop tent setup worked well. Went with family and our dog—had a great time. Even with a large group at the other site, it still felt private. Beautiful sunsets and stargazing at night. Some distant dog barking overnight, and a stray wandered by in the morning but left quickly. Overall, highly recommend and would return.

I loved camping at Claribel’s land!! The directions were very clear, the campsite was clean and the toilet was nearby. It was perfectly secluded with a few neighboring houses nearby. We would camp here again in a heartbeat!

Such a fun little place to camp! There was another group camping at site 1 but they were far enough away that it still felt like having the entire place to ourselves! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are headed to Joshua Tree!

This camp spot was awesome for our group of 5! We loved being surrounded by Joshua trees. The area was super quiet and the stars were incredible. It was a short drive into town and to the park. There’s even a great hidden sculpture garden near by. I would definitely love to come back.

Great location! Still a bit surrounded by distant houses but secluded enough for camping privacy. Felt secure and serene. Hopefully you get better weather than my friend and I did! We still had a blast nonetheless. Very good for stargazing as well :)

Beautiful Sunset and Sunrise views!

Beautiful spot! Had some of the best sunsets and sunrise views. Upon arrival we were greeted by the neighbor dog. He scared me at first, because he was barking at us. We think he really just wanted to say hi and play. He went home pretty shortly after and we didn’t see him the rest of the weekend. We had our 31’ toy hauler and it was a really tight maneuvering pulling around campsite B. We didn’t use the fire pit or benches because It’s was pretty windy the first night and the 2nd night we got back too late to use it. One of the neighbors has a dirt track, so Saturday night they seemed to be riding on the track till about 3 am. The noise was not too bad, but we were indoors with our sound machine on. Great location to both yucca valley and Joshua tree.

Disappointed we couldn’t get a campsite in Joshua Tree for my daughter’s bday, we got this campsite last minute and couldn’t have been happier! The bathroom was very clean and the kids had a great time by the fire. Definitely recommend!

The experience didn’t match what was described in the post. We received no contact beforehand, and our message asking for entry details went unanswered. When we arrived, we called to confirm if we were parked in the correct spot—labeled ‘B’ while we had reserved ‘Site 2’—but no one picked up, and we didn’t receive a return call. The site itself was okay, but we were left uncertain if we were even in the right place. We had booked for two nights but chose not to return for the second night.

Camped for one night by myself. Good views of the night sky and sunrise/sunset, and each of the spots had benches and fire pits with grilling grates. As some other reviews highlight, you can hear distant music from neighbors, but it's not surprising given you are in a somewhat residential area.

The host was responsive and the site was cute and nicely set up (only complaint there is a trash pile that messes with the view one way) but the house behind the site had a massive party with insanely loud music. I literally had to sleep in the car for a few hours since the music was so loud before waking up with both my legs asleep and dragging myself to the tent at 1 am (I could still hear a bass but not nearly as bad as the live band). I grew up in a city to I’m used to loud music/noises at all times of day but this was another level. I wouldn’t stay here again just at the risk of that happening the next time.

No Shade bring a canopy

Pros- Beautiful Joshua Trees, Nice table and Perfect fire pit with local store to buy snacks and firewood. Amazing view at night of full moon over the mountains. Cons- No shade bring a canopy, little windy but will pass, dogs barking at night, local neighbors in sight. All in all no real complaints was a great camp experience.

Hosts were lovely, brought out additional seating and lighting during our stay. Site was well maintained and had beautiful views of the stars at night. Portable-toilet was recently cleaned.

This was a great spot for a our last minute weekend camping trip to Joshua Tree. The host was responsive and helpful. There was residual noise from the houses in the nearby area; but overall it was a pretty quiet, enjoyable space. There’s a colourful surprise when the solar powered lamps come on as the sun goes down.

If you are OK with camping in a residential area with neighbors who have big trash piles plainly visible playing loud music all night and driving the ATVs around then this is your place. It was not advertised as such and therefore disappointing. Also we not only cleaned up our trash but quite a bit from previous campers. The plus was that there was a private dirt road where the kids could ride bikes safely

Good spot for visiting the national park, Yucca Valley and JT the town. The site was just as advertised - camp sites are comfortably spaced, porta potty was very clean, a rare chance to sleep right next to your own private Joshua trees. Fantastic views on 3 sides (a trash pile on one neighboring side). Got a friendly but chill dog visitor who didn't seem to want food or much attention, just some shade and pets - 10/10 camp dog.

Great campsite; not close to owner or neighbors and though both spots were reserved I did not feel like we were too close to the other campers. The land feels more isolated than a traditional campsite, and we camped right beside the beautiful Joshua Trees. Port-a-potty was super clean. I would go back.

Host is very quick in responding. Was pretty easy to locate the site after receiving instructions from host. The campsite is close enough to neighborhood in case you need something yet secluded enough to give you the camping experience. Will definitely choose again in future. 😊
