Everything was amazing, the place is located 10min away fron the town, however, it was totally quiet. We felt really in touch with nature. The fire pit area is amazing, the wifi (though we didn't used it) is a great extra to feel safer, the shower with views to the woods is really relaxing. I strongly recommend this place

What a great spot! You can tell the hosts have taken time to make this a special place! We had the place to ourselves so it felt very private, but I think it still would have if others were there because it’s so wooded. The outhouse is so clean and the outdoor shower was so cool, lots of hot water! It was rainy so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit area but it looked nice. The host was great, very accommodating and fast to respond. Highly recommend!

The host is really friendly, the location is really nice for beginner campers like myself since there is a small town nearby in case you need to grab anything. The nature immersion plus the campfire made the experience a lot more fun.

BEST CAMPSITE EVER! We are seasoned campers who have been all over the nation and this is hands down the best campsite ever. The amenities, the care- helpfulness from owners, the land itself, the location, the shower/sink, WiFi, fire pit stocked with WOOD EVEN? 10/10 every single time we come.

We really enjoyed tent camping at Campfire. All the great things the other campers said were all very true (hot shower, tons of wood for the communal fire, private sites, artful grounds etc.) - so I won't repeat them ALL here. The only thing I will note is that there is road noise, and since it's otherwise very, very quiet, the sounds echo. It's not a very busy road, and it's very quiet at night and overnight.

I had a great stay! Easy to find, and right off the road. The fire pit was awesome! Had a fun time chatting with the other camper’s around it that evening. The mosquitoes were around but not too bad. The porta-potties were clean the hand washing station was well stocked. There was some road noise but mostly during the day. I didn’t use the shower but one of the other camper gave it a glowing review. Definitely would stay here again.

The land and facilities are well kept . The property is beautiful and you have all the basics you need for a camping getaway. I sleep in my hatchback and it looked like sites 1-4 are great for car camping as they have easy access level parking. Their Wi-fi works great if you need that like I did for my hiking trails. Like many Hipcamp sites it is fairly close to a road so you can hear road noise. The location is great , about 15 minutes to the town of Mendocino for meals and supplies. There is a ton of great hiking in the area as well.
The hosts offered free firewood and a communal fire pit with Adirondack chairs and blankies. Very cozy!

Overall had a great stay at this campground. The sites are well-designed with good privacy - you feel nicely isolated from neighboring campers. The communal fire pit is a fantastic feature that really enhances the camping experience. The whole site was very clean. However, sleep was challenging due to frequent noise throughout the night from both cars and helicopters passing overhead, which contacted greatly with the absolute silence, the rest of the time. The location is next to a route that doesn't fully quiet down after dark (ear plugs might help).

Wow. They really do an amazing job at keeping this little camp site up! We absolutely had a blast here. The community campfire and outdoor shower are amazing!! There’s a little area to do your dishes right by the shower and that is stocked with soap! It was SO quiet there and no wild animal interactions! We left our food out which we were nervous about the first night but no stealing of food from wildlife at all! Very clean portable toilets as well. Hosts were extremely friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back!

Nice little campground! We had site 1 which was very spacious, plenty of room. While you cant have a campfire on your site, the communal firepit was very close and they supplied chairs, wood, fire starter, and the setup was very nice. Nice outside shower which I love. If I'm ever back out this way camping, this will be my first choice.

This was one of the most charming sites I’ve ever been to! Extremely clean and beautiful. The common area is so lovely and lit up with fairy lights and they were so considerate to have out bug spray, sunscreen, TP, even room freshening spray by the bathrooms which were the most pristine port-o-potty’s I’ve ever seen in my life LOL. The stars were IMMACULATE and the overall vibe was just wonderful. Trees are beautiful, it was quiet and peaceful. Would absolutely recommend!

Great spot! There were mosquitoes around but that’s to be expected. Wi-fi worked great too. A bear got into the trash at night but it didn’t come into individual sites, even though I had my cooler out. Site is also close to other towns. Def would come back!

We needed a place at the last minute on a Saturday night and this spot was one of very few available. It was a safe place to land, with a big flat spot for our camper. It was quite a ways out of town and expensive for what was offered. Mosquitoes were hungry. It was ok but I wouldn’t return.

This was an awesome location! Up on the ridge a bit so some nice, warm weather and easy, close drive to Mendocino to the bluff trail and big river beach is so easy and beautiful too! The site is clean, well thought out and the cleanest porta potties! Super nice fire pit with tons of wood. The reviews weren’t lying- the mosquitoes were terrible and quite a nuisance. But that’s camping for ya. We did have some critters- stole a peach, an apple and a couple avocados while we were at the fire pit the first night- but we were able to get a couple apples from the orchard which were delish! Came with my pup and she enjoyed herself very much too! Overall a wonderful stay, would def stay here again!

We had a lovely time. It was quiet in between the trees, which is what we wanted. It was also close to Mendocino and fort Bragg so we could drive if we needed anything or wanted to explore a bit more. We really enjoyed our stay!

The location was close to Mendocino where we enjoyed the music festival, hiking, and botanical garden. The campground provided most everything needed for an epic weekend with friends. This was my first Hipcamp reservation, but not my last!

They went out of their way to resolve billing issue with HipCamp. There campfire was wonderful. The outdoor shower was amazing and unexpected.

What a great spot! 10/10 would recommend. All the spots were level, clean, and offered privacy. We had a nice picnic table, & bug repellent at our site. Community spaces were perfect. We loved the fire pit and really enjoyed getting to know the other campers. The BBQ, showers and sink area were all great.
The location is great, a few miles off the coast and we enjoyed the sunshine. Just a few minutes to get to 1 and Mendicino. 15-20 minutes to get to Fort Bragg.
Mosquitos were a little bothersome, but some spray seemed to keep them away. There were plenty of sprays and other options provided by the campsite as well.

What a lovely place to stay! The outdoor shower was *hot* and such a nice amenity! As a note, only biodegradable soap is allowed. I really love the communal fire and getting to meet other campers. Spot was peaceful and quiet! We did forget our tote with coffee in it out over night and did have some wildlife visitors raid it, so don’t be like us 😂 Also be prepared for LOTS of mosquitoes! Highly recommend wearing layers and having some kind of repellent for pups too. We would definitely stay again!

This was my first time using Hipcamp and it gave me exactly what I was looking for, a wonderful night under the tress and stars! Campfire was a very nice camp, it was super clean and well maintained. We enjoyed using the propane BBQ right next to the community fire pit. The fire pit had comfy chairs with a blanket on the back of each one. It was also well stocked with firewood. There were a few mosquitoes but the host left repellent incense at the camps. Also the porta potty’s were clean. We only stayed one night, next time we will hang out for a couple of nights and go paddle boarding at big river which is just down the road.

Nice touches like central fire pit all ready to light with extra firewood available (no extra charge). Some really nice touches too such as natural mosquito repellent, a wonderful outdoor shower and dishwashing station. There was some street noise but at night it was quiet
And it’s close to the town of Mendocino and all it has to offer.
