Camp Under the Redwoods

Basically, I need a use permit and possibly a septic permit or I can be fined the $6,300 for renting out this camp site. I fully intend to both get the use permit and probably a new septic for the property. Anyone that books this is going to fund the dealings with the county. I do not expect anyone to do this but that is what it is. If someone does this, I would give them free camping in the future and consider them a partner in this venture. There could be money to be made here in the future if interested. This camp is under the redwoods with a seasonal creek behind it. There is a fire pit that can be used when weather permitting, or you can use the BBQ and foldable picnic table. It is at the top of my property that sits on 7 acres. You'll have access to about three acres on my property with hours of hiking trails behind us. Stay on the trails if you use them as in a few minutes you'll be on neighbor's properties. It is a decent road to get too but it is steep so 4x4 or Awd is required, or you can park at the street and hike in. About a 5 to ten minutes depending on your ability, I can easily do it in under 5 but I am used to it and still out of breath when I get to the top. If you do not have a 4x4 I can drive, you and your gear up if requested with enough notice. The terrain is ruff but in beautiful woods with birds chirping and squirrels playing. About a ten- or fifteen-minute walk to a nearby coffee shop Bia's or Northwood golf course and the Russian river. I can provide a few kayaks or a canoe and life jackets if you want to paddle around the river and explore. I suggest you do, nothing fancy but they work for me. We are about 15 to 20 minutes away from the ocean with goat rock or Jenner right there at the mouth of the river. Armstrong woods state park is just a few minutes away and restaurants, wineries, canopy tours what have you close by. I do not mind a dog as long as you keep him or her on a leash as I have animals and children on other parts of the property that need to stay safe, also not always but other neighbors use the hiking trails right behind us to walk their dogs or mountain bike as well. There is a dog run set up to use for your fir baby if you need. It is beautiful, secluded and really nice spring, summer, and fall. I have not used hip camp before to host so you would be some of my first guest and feedback would be appreciated as I do not want to be a bad host. A bundle of firewood will be provided for each night of your stay and more can be purchased on site for $10 each just leave the money in the box next to the wood if you use more. The BBQ is propane so if you use a lot of propane, please leave something extra in the box as well honor system style. There is a quiet generator to use for charging cell phones, laptops whatnot. Again, if you use the gas leave something extra in the box. Only use the generator during waking hours from 8am to 9pm. Do not add gas to it I need to do that. I've had people add the wrong type of fuel to other generators before and had to replace them.
