The campsites are pretty level and as described. Nice fire pits and picnic tables. The location is close to town and many MTB trails. The lock on the gate required lubricant to open and close. The road coming from both directions is the very rough. Our van was sliding down one direction and it was only a matter of time before getting a flat on the sharp rocks the other direction. I reserved for 4 nights and only stayed the 1st to avoid damage to our vehicle.

This site did not disappoint, right on the Handcut Hollow trail system. Onsite porta-potty and dumpster along with picnic table and fire ring at each site. Stayed in the back area where there are only 3 sites and it was very quiet. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable and clean spot to camp near the OZ trails.

Great site was able to find shade. Its was 90* that day. You can hear the highway but not bad, I sleep with ear plugs anyway. Traverse Trail runs right through the campground.

Large camp sites! We loved that our dog was welcome and could roam. Excellent location for riding Handcut Hollow trails. You can ride right from the sites. Clean fireplace and porta potty. However we were the only ones there on a Sunday evening. There is noise from the hiway. Overall a great stay though.

Great place. Secluded but not so secluded that it is inconvenient for the location. Within a short pedal to the hand cut trail system. And a few more peddles and you’re in the slaughterpin sections. Campground very nice. The grass was on its last leg, simply due to the hotter than the surface of the sun temps we’ve had for the last 120days. Can’t wait to come back in the fall and camp again

I had a great stay here. The campsite was very clean, well organized, and easy to settle into. I brought my bike, and having trails starting right from the campground was a huge plus. The location is also very convenient, with town just a short drive away. There is some road noise from Highway 49 during the day, but it didn’t bother me much, and it was nice and quiet at night. Overall, a clean, convenient, and well-maintained place to camp, especially if you’re planning to hit the nearby trails.

Right behind Trailhead at Handcut Hollow. Easy access. Flat. Fire pit and picnic table. Great trail system right there (Especially Zone 4). Ill be back for sure.

Quite a unique little spot, but still roomy enough. Trails were 5ft from my tent. Fire pits and picnic tables were nice as well. Found a perfectly shaded spot that was mint for 90+ degree days. Will be back in the fall. A+primitive 10/10.

Very well kept location. Quiet. The porta-potty was one of the cleanest I have used. Will go back again next time I camp for mountain biking assuming slots are available

I would highly recommend this campsite except for the fact that if something goes wrong with billing or account issues hipcamp does not have a human help line. So yeah, I mean great place, but no recourse if something isn't right.

Convenient location and can ride from site. Had the place to myself. Only thing somewhat annoying is hearing the expressway and the backside of the campground all night long. Just treat it as white noise as it’s constant. One porta-potty to share on site and a dumpster.

Grass was about a foot high! No way would this be suitable for tent camping. Luckily, we have camper van and parked on the gravel road as there were no other campers! Also, could use a water spiket!

Spent the night up at handcut hollow. Basic, very safe place to stay, locked gate to access. The good, parking was plentiful and level. Clean porto potty. They ask to use the fire pit for camp fires and someone did have it lit. The only complaint is the noise, the highway is fairly close so that’s always going to be a factor. I’d say my experience wasn’t detrimental because of the noise, some may be bothered by it. * I was in a sprinter so a bit more sound attenuation than a tent. Overall a great place to rest. Clean and safe. 15 Ish min to downtown.
