The Glacier Breeze is located in Alaska’s beautiful Knik River Valley surrounded by breathtaking views of the Chugach Mountains. With the numerous adventures that you can take in the Knik River and Matsu areas, it makes for a perfect base camp. The property also makes for a great beginning or ending of your Alaskan trip with it being conveniently located a short hour drive from Anchorage. Why be in the city when you can be emersed in Alaska!

The Glacier Breeze campsite offers you a quiet and safe spot to park your RV in the Knik River Valley away from the craziness of the public use areas. Sit back and relax to the panoramic views of the Chugach mountains, keep an eye out for one of the local moose wandering through and be close to many Alaskan adventures all while knowing you’ll have a nice spot to return to after a day of making memories. The site is made up of several feet of glacial stone, so no worries about being stuck after rain. It is mostly level, though some minor leveling may be required. We do have water available to fill your tank as well. RVs do need to be self contained as no restroom facilities are available. Unfortunately tent camping is unavailable. Need recommendations on things to do? We would be glad to help make your stay as memorable as possible. Our guests can even get a 5% discount on flights with Alaska Helicopter Tours out to Knik Glacier! Come on out and wake up in Alaska, not in a cramped RV park! ** Calendar will show site is blocked between October and April. If you are looking for a place to camp in those months, please message us to see what site conditions are like. If it’s snow free, we will be glad to have you stay! **

The Glacier Breeze cabin located in the beautiful Knik River valley is nestled into spruce trees and surrounded by the majestic views of the Chugach Mountains you think of when you think of Alaska. Escape to relaxing peace and quiet away from the busier towns, yet still convenient to many of the areas popular attractions. Enjoy watching moose strolling around the yard and possibly even sleeping right outside your window! Here in the Knik River valley the skies are very dark during the times of the year when the midnight sun goes away, which means that not only do the northern lights can come to you when they put on a show, but the stars are absolutely amazing as well to gaze at! The experience here is so unique that it’s become a place for locals to come get away! The 280 sq ft open floor plan cabin is set up nicely for a comfortable stay for up to two people. Think of it as super glamping! The fully stocked kitchen includes a stove, full size refrigerator, toaster, blender and the all basics you need to prepare your favorite meals. Need a coffee or other hot beverage fix? We have you covered with the choice of a drip pot, Kureg or French press with an assortment of coffee and tea featuring locally sourced samples. The living area has a couch with entertainment provided via a TV with a selection of several streaming services as well as an Alexa speaker for those soothing tunes. A wood stove with supplied firewood keeps you toasty through those chilly Alaska nights. Blackout blinds are installed on the windows for those not so dark summer Alaskan nights. The private bathroom features a tub/shower combo. Wifi is provided. Bear spray and bug spray are also supplied for you to borrow to help keep some of the more aggressive residents at bay. The cabin is conveniently located just minutes from the two popular Knik Glacier tour services and Pioneer Ridge Trailhead and within 30 minutes of numerous other adventures. Trail access for fat tire biking to the glacier in the winter is less than half a mile away. After a day of adventures, you can quickly be relaxing back at the Glacier Breeze after a day of making lifelong memories.

Glacier Breeze Cabin
We had a great time! It was a much needed relaxed night. The hosts were communicating well and allowed us to check in early even though we ended up not needing to, because we kept stopping for photos on our trip. This place had great hot water and amenities! Would def stay here again.

Glacier Breeze Campsite
We had a great time at the Glacier Breeze site. Beautiful views, level spot, nice picnic table and Fire ring. Our kids had plenty of room to roam and ride bikes. Would recommend!

Glacier Breeze Cabin
Sending a big THANK YOU to Chris, Karen and the Glacier Breeze cabin! I stumbled upon this listing by chance and booked without hesitation. When I pitched an Alaskan honeymoon to my fiancé later that day, I was relieved that he was on board. The Glacier Breeze cabin was easy to find, impeccably clean and very homey. Chris and Karen are five star hosts! They think of everything, so you don't have to. From customized weather reports, to local events, wildlife updates and northern lights forecasts, they leave no stone unturned. We will be back!

Glacier Breeze Cabin
The cabin is perfect and has everything you need for a temporary home base. The surroundings are absolutely stunningly beautiful and there are plenty of trails for hiking and skiing. Chris was super helpful with local recommendations and other info. It was a really wonderful experience staying here.
