My grandparents, Stany and Nelda Jones homestead here, my father was just a toddler when they moved here with his family from Texas. They homestead this area before there were roads, and could only travel to this location via the beach and climbing the bluff. My mothers family also Homestead on the Kenai, in Ninilchik, she was born and grew up there in the small river village. When her and my dad married they continued the Jones family tradition of ranching and farming. We decided to offer our family land and share its beauty with others. Your camping spaces are on a corner of the ranch property, near the shared gazebo fire pit. We hope you love it as much as we do!

Offering a retreat from the business of town with stunning views of Kachemak Bay. We are a small family ranch/peony farm. We will offer space for a limited amount of guests around our ranch to try and make sure each person has their own space. This listing is for parking/tent/RV spaces. We also offer dry cabins but they must be booked separately. If available when you arrive we can upgrade you to one if desired.  Pet(s) live on property - Black Lab, cattle dogs, Retriever mix, Multiple Horses, and cows. All animals are friendly and non threatening. Amenity limitations - The cellular service is intermittent in our area.  limited Wifi. The bathroom/ shower is a separate building, a short walk from the camping area.Our shower has been having issues with hot water so if you need to use it let us make sure the water heater is still lit. (its propane). Potential for noise - farm noises, ATV are used on the property, horses, cows, dog (we discourage barking but it happens) Kids playing, ect. We try to be respectful of our neighbors and guests, and aim to keep our activity quiet after 10pm to 7am, we ask that you do the same. Please, no parties unless you have made prior arrangements to rent the entire area. (which is a option) "Rowdy" disrespectful guest will be asked to leave. There is a wedding venue also on the far side of the property. Due to the nature of reception music often playing in the evenings I try to make sure guest are aware if a wedding is going to be happening during their stay.

Beautiful Views / Perfect Getaway

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! The cabins were amazing and had everything we could have needed! Loved seeing all the animals out there too! It’s such a wonderful and beautiful drive right outside of Homer. Everything was nice and close including the wash house which was super nice to have and clean! Vikki was an outstanding host! Despite all the questions I had, she was super kind and very quick to respond and accommodating! Will definitely be returning in the future!

This campsite was pure magic—surrounded by blooming fireweed, gentle horses, and the most stunning bay and mountain views. We spent our days beach-combing and evenings by the fire with s’mores. Peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully cared for. A true hidden gem—we can’t wait to come back.

We've stayed here a couple of times now and have enjoyed it thoroughly each time. Sites are spacious and level (we fit two vehicles, camper and corn hole). There are fire rings, picnic tables, a play area for kids. If you forget fire wood, you can buy a bundle there. My wife's favorite part is the fully plumbed bathroom and shower. Thank you Vikki for a great stay! We'll be back.

Absolutely perfect camp site! Stunningly beautiful, and clean! Vikki was fantastic. We camped for six nights and could have stayed a full month, we highly recommend!

Loved tent camping here! Directions were clear and Vikki was delightful! Was nice and quiet, great space, convenient bathroom, firewood available and dry, even had a shower attached to the bathroom with hot water! Would camp here again!

We stayed in the dry camp spots - primarily because we knew by this time in our trip we’d really need a shower. The place was clean, mowed and they have a great fire pit area. The bathroom and shower is incredibly basic, but stocked with some cleaning supplies so I was able to give it quick clean up before we showered. Thankfully, it was just us at the camp sites. I think if all four spots were filled you’d want to know the other campers or really cross your fingers that they were cool. The sites are very close together. The views from the back of the dry cabins is amazing - but cold on the windy and rainy night we were there. And the host was super easy to communicate with. She was quick to respond and gave good advice prior to arrival. If you’re looking to clean up and move on, this spot is great.

Was a spot to sleep and had beautiful views, however, there was a wedding the first night next door which was really loud. There isn't anything between the sites so you can hear what everyone else is doing. All in all a decent spot to sleep though.

The Jones family was wonderful and we absolutely loved the camp grounds. It was quite, peaceful, and had spectacular views of Kachemak Bay. They have a shower and bathroom. It is dry camping, but you can fill water tanks. No dump or electric hook-up. Best place we stayed at in Alaska.

Great experience all the way around! Nice, spacious, level camp site. Large personal fire pit with our own picnic table and garbage can. Good amount of space in between sites. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked. Vicky, the host, came and checked on us within 30 minutes of arrival to introduce herself and see if we needed anything. There was even a fully stocked wood shed where you could buy bundles of fire wood. Would definitely stay again.

Vikki was a great host and very accommodating to any special requests we made. We loved the peaceful location and lucked out with some awesome weather. Our kids loved the farm animals and open space to run around. Shower and toilet were a nice addition. Will likely be coming back here on future visits to Homer.

Had a great weekend camping here with friends. Appreciated the running toilet and hot shower. The property is beautiful. Owners really friendly and helpful. It was nice to be away from the “hustle & bustle”, but still able to easily make trips into town. We will definitely be back!

This site was awesome! Can't say enough great things about the site and the host. Amazing spot, good ammentinies with the bathroom and shower, shelter with fire pit along fire pits and garbage cans at each site, and pet friendly. The host was great and gave us recommendations of cool places to go. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking to get out a bit further from Homer.

Vikki’s dry cabin was a great place to stay while visiting Homer. The ranch was beautiful and the views from behind the cabin were stunning!

The site had a lot of space. The view across the bay to the glaciers was spectacular. Vicky met us and gave us the rundown on where the flush toilet with cold water sink was, the in demand hot water shower, firewood, and huge common area with large fire pit. Each site has a nice fire pit as well. We were there 6 nights. 18 mmiles from Homer makes a nice drive and wonderful getaway, yet easy to get to town. We drove down to the Russian homestead area, a must if you have a 4WD.

Loved camping on Vikki’s land! She was a great host and the amenities for a small camp were great! She had firewood available and provided fire starters since it was raining when we were there.
