A very well-maintained property with spacious sites, plenty of shade and good separation between campers. Check-in was easy, and our host kindly allowed us a late checkout for a small fee.
We’re fully self-contained, so we didn’t use the onsite toilet. The property is close to local attractions, although it isn’t completely secluded—you can see neighbouring properties and hear nearby roads, barking dogs and other urban sounds. As we live in a very quiet part of the country, we needed earplugs at night.
Overall, a convenient and well-kept place to stay while exploring the area.

Peter was very friendly. The site was great, quite level + we loved having the fire. The location was awesome, not far from Tamborine + Canungra + a short drive from Brisbane. There is some road noise and a party at the winery nearby but that wasn’t Peter’s fault and it was ok. The neighbours stayed up til 1:30pm talking and laughing which was a bit annoying but again, not his fault. All in I thought it was a great spot and I’d think about coming again.
Peter was a super nice and kind host,
The fire wood I purchase from the site was top quality.
The ground was well maintained and flat.
10 mins driving to the shop was a bonus, you can meet some horses from the neighbours.
The road to the camp site was easy to drive.
Very private site as well.
Trees are fabulous, birds sound were different from city.
If you are sensitive for the noise, please check the night road work which didn’t bother us at all.

Lovely little stay for the night, beautiful up keep with toilets and close to fuel stations and local pub.
Great little spot, quiet, peaceful and hassle free. So good we booked it again the next weekend. Thanks Peter!

We stayed for 3 nights at the Chestnut farm. It had everything we needed (mobile toilet). We cooked on the fire and brought our own water. We toured Mt Tambourine, went to Dig-It (my 7 yo son). The grassy area was nice and soft. We woke up to a chilly weather which was the best weather for camping. All in all, very happy with the place. Peter was lovely. After a brief introduction, he let us be.

We loved camping at Chestnut Farm, the campsites where far enough about not to have any interruptions from other campers.
The toilet was clean and tidy, and fire wood was readily available, at a small cost ,dry and cut to a good size. Recommended for a quiet weekend get away.

What a fantastic camping trip. A nice very quiet area for a relaxing weekend. Would definitely recommend a stay there. Peter was a great hipcamp host.

We had a lovely relaxing time under the stars and moon. Great fire pits and lots of space. Thanks Peter
Nice spot for a night or two close to southern Brisbane. It is easy to access and there are loads of birds. Lots of open space between big eucalypts. Peter has firewood for sale on site and there were even a few kangaroos grazing in within the boundry.

We arrived in the dark, Peter was waiting to meet us and guide us to a comfortable site right by the dam. The perfect spot for peace and quiet less than an hour from the Gold Coast

Beautiful surrounds, nice setup, close to where we needed to be.
Amazing, Peter was friendly but left us alone to explore 😁
We loved the winery 🍷 across the road and being close to everything in Mt Tamborine
Definitely made our weekend special
Would do again, the comments about it being close to the highway..
We never had an issue with noise couldn't fault the experience 🎊❤️
