Perfect spot for an overnight stay!! Very private but not too far from essentials.

The location was fantastic! We went on a different hike every single day. It was quiet and private. Only drawbacks were no shade, the neighbors property is right next to the main field for camping, and the main road coming in was really bumpy. The road was passable but if someone had a large camper with low clearance it would be tough.

We used this campsite for a bachelor party and it was exactly what we were looking for. The meadow is massive and comfortably fit a large group. There was plenty of room for cars too. The spot feels so secluded but it’s a 5 minute drive to a local grocery store. Truly the best of both worlds. 10/10 would recommend

Open Meadow in Welches Mt Hood
The Meadow is genuinely enormous, enough so that our group of adults had so much fun playing Frisbee and other silly recess games because we had so much room to run around! The stargazing was incredible, really can't overstate how beautiful the night sky is out there. As all the other reviews have mentioned, the portable toilet was very clean and well stocked! Absolutely zero complaints, and having the ability to shut + lock the gate behind us did a lot for those on the trip who were nervous. My only warning: the road in right before the Meadow is a little rough! If you have a low to the ground vehicle you'll probably have some scrapes. But go slow and you won't have any issues :) would happily return again, and recommend to anyone looking to get away while still being close enough to run to the Dollar General for a Frisbee.

Open Meadow in Welches Mt Hood
We had a lot of privacy and solitude, only sharing the meadow with two does and a young buck. Campsite is close to shopping, eating and the golf course. Felt lucky to be camping all by ourselves on Independence Day weekend and have a campfire.

Beautiful meadow with deer and wildflowers. Very simple-Bring everything you want but the store is nearby and has great fresh food. Clean toilet.

The meadow was absolutely gorgeous, the location was very convenient and private. The port-a paddy was clean and stocked with plenty of TP. Pretty much everything you can ask for in a campsite. Would definitely go again.
