We are an on-farm processing dairy where we take the milk from our own farm and bottle this in glass returnable bottles. We make many different products as can be seen on our website www.slateriverdairy.com We also sell other local products. We let campers stay in our parking lot where they can enjoy a beautiful sunset and many hiking trail just minutes away from us. Campers can walk down to the river and maybe see a beaver hard at work. Campers will not be allowed to walk to the farm as insurance won't let us. There are many activities that can be done around here in nature and we will provide a map and explanation of where the activity is and provide website links as well of the many hiking trail around us. There is a lake about 12 min drive from us with a nice beach. We will provide a pick nick table and can set up a badminton net as well for those that like to have a badminton game. A short walk from us a small Catholic country church, and you can walk to the Slate River Bridge on Hwy 608 and on Hwy 61.Slate River Dairy is a on-farm dairy processor, where you can buy all your dairy needs and other local products. We have a level gravel parking lot, where an amazing sunset will take your breath away in the evening. For those that want to pitch a tent, you can do so on our large lawn around the building. The view of the mountain to the west of us will make this the perfect spot for taking pictures of nature. We are a two minute walk from Slate River that you can walk to on the side of the Hwy and go down to the river by the bridge either on Hwy 608 or on Hwy 61, a few more minute of hiking brings you to a little Country Catholic Church, and along Hwy 608 you can hike, run or bike up the hill for a good workout. We have many other hiking trails and waterfalls in the area for anyone to explore. Please ask for a map ( during store hours only) of where these hikes are. We are also a 13 minute drive from Oliver Lake where you can go fishing, boating, canoeing, and swimming. If you come after store hours please find a spot either in our parking lot or on the lawn.

Great Spot!
Great place to hang out during a snow storm. Lovely area, and great people. Had to pay extra above price per night for hydro. Still a lovely place.

Slate River Dairy Camping
This was my first stay. It was late October. I needed a safe place to park and stay in my truck camper. All municipal and private campgrounds in the area were closed for the season. I preferred having electrical service but could do without. I was otherwise self contained. Slate river Dairy Farm was perfect. I could plug in which gave me peace of mind, not worrying that my furnace would drain the battery. I had a very good rest there. Also, the chocolate milk that I bought from them was delicious!

Great stop on our honeymoon!
Wilma was such a great host! We arrived right before a rain storm and Wilma was so gracious enough to let us in the store while the rain passed to get us checked in, to use the bathroom, let us purchase some dairy products, and gave us tips and other places to check out along our trip.

Overnight camp
Family needed a place to sleep for the night as we had an early flight next morning. It was perfect for what we were looking for. Quiet and friendly but not too far away from town. Owner was wonderful and the spot was beautiful!

Easy on/off highway. Nice grass pad for tent. West side of Lake Oliver, map given by host, was the perfect place for a morning dip.
