We welcome you to our gorgeous "Glamping" tipi located next to a beautiful mountain stream on our ranch in the mountains of Northern New Mexico. Experience the surrounding Carson National Forest and all the recreational opportunities that it provides. Our 22 ft "Elk" Tipi can sleep 4 with a king bed and a bunk bed, and sits on an elevated wood deck. The interior is beautifully furnished with a King sized bed, a bunk bed, bedside tables, a device charger, and a camp stove for making coffee and tea. We’re located 45 minutes away from Taos, and just 30 minutes away from the Ojo Caliente Hot Springs Resort. There’s hiking, rock climbing, fishing, and other outdoor activities galore all around us. We also have some of the darkest skies in the US, We are a perfect location for stargazing or astrophotography. We like to say we are in the middle of nowhere and the center of everything. We provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Elk Tipi is well-equipped with a Queen bed for two, and a bunk bed. You are also welcome to bring an additional tent for two more, or we can provide a cot in the tipi or a dome tent , for an additional $20 per night fee. In the Tipi, we offer a single-burner camping stove, a kettle for heating water, a french press coffee maker and a selection of coffee and teas. We also have a cooler, and a drinking water dispenser. Outdoors, we offer a grill for outdoor cooking, a fire pit and camping chairs, a picnic table, and a ramada with a hammock for sleeping or lounging. Your hosts also own the Chili Line Depot restaurant, 7 miles from the campsite in Tres Piedras, and you can visit the restaurant, or call in an order for pick-up. We provide a menu in the Tipi. Outside the Tipi you'll find a bath house with a composting toilet, a shower with hot water, and an outdoor sink for cleaning up. NOTE: During the cooler months and any other time it is below 40° F, we can't guarantee any running water. We provide bath towels and soap for you. Well-behaved dogs are welcome during your stay. We ask that dogs do NOT get on the bed, to be respectful of other people's allergies. Please keep your pet under control, and please cleanup after your pet and put the waste in the provided trash can. The ranch is fully off-grid. We have a solar powered charging station for you to plug in your electronic devices, but please note that the system can't handle devices that need a lot of power like blow dryers. Cell service and WiFi are limited at the campsite. The Tipi is located on a 70 acre working ranch. Follow the signs and pull through the gate to the guest parking area near the campsite. We ask that you keep gates closed, and give the horses and livestock space. You'll have access to the full grounds, and you may fish in our private stocked pond (no license required,) or in the stream for rainbow trout (NM fishing license required.) We’ve done our best to keep the campsite private and separate, so that you can feel secluded. But please know you may see your hosts Deb and Gil, as well as curious livestock, and Sally the friendly ranch dog every so often. Incredible Tipi Glamping

The owner's, Debbie and Gil, are incredible and I'm happy to call them friends after staying here multiple times. My husband and I were celebrating our 5 year anniversary being married. We met Debbie and her husband, they gave a run down of the area and anything we needed. Debbie was an excellent host, super kind and thoughtful. This experience is more than we could ask for. Being able to fully disconnect, soak into the surroundings and be present with each other was much needed. The surroundings and sky were soo beautiful (we took some great pictures!!). Especially at night, we were at awe with how much stars and sky we could see. We even saw some shooting stars! There is wifi but very spotty at the elk tipi, but that allowed us to really really disconnect. The firewood was a godsend, it was sooo cold at night - if you're coming from a warm state make sure you pack enough warm clothing when the weather is around 40F at night! The bed was so comfy and had enough layers to keep you warm. Inside the tipi had a heater inside but if more blanket was needed, there was an extra in the tipi. We also love the fact that our pets were allowed to be off leash. Our husky had a blast as well! Thank you for the experience and stay. It was absolutely wonderful!

The Tipis were the perfect camping spot for my family and me! The Tipis had everything that we needed: comfy beds, cozy linens, and cooking supplies. The property was absolutely beautiful! We absolutely loved this area. It’s the perfect place for a peaceful getaway especially if you have multiple dogs. We took all 4 of our dogs and Deborah was so encouraging of them to enjoy their freedom. Our tipi was cozy and it was so nice that just about any supplies you need or might have forgotten to pack is available. We couldn’t be more grateful for this experience.

Beautiful valley, lovely brook and many stars. We especially loved the surprise visit from their horses. They came right up to our tipi looking for treats! (I don't think this happens on a regular basis but we found it adventurous and delightful). The hosts were fun to talk to.

Lovely Family Getaway

Deb and family were such warm hosts. Sara the pup brought smiles to our faces daily. This was our first Yurt experience. We will be back! The pleasant stream close by provides such soothing music to relaxation. Those fire pits are the BEST I’ve ever used! The lowest smoke cologne I’ve ever had. ;). (Deb even had snore kits for us as we had forgotten marshmellows!). The Milky Way was amazing! We haven’t seen so many stars in years. So pleasant and calm! We had forgotten a couple items and Deg figured it out without us even asking. She took suck wonderful care of us!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The teepee was very spacious and accommodated 5 adults and 6 kids without any issue. The property was beautiful and the view of the stars at night was incredible. Deborah and Gill were great hosts and very friendly. Sally the dog will greet you and your guests when you arrive, which the kids LOVED. I would definitely recommend staying here and enjoying nature/exploring the property.

This was our second time visiting Deb and Gil at the tipis. It’s impressive how much they have improved the site in just one year! We loved the new campfire rings and the beautiful hanging chairs and hammocks. The hosts were quickly responsive to our needs and we had everything we wanted for a fantastic stay. The sky was clear on the first night with no moon, so we got to see more stars than I’ve probably ever seen before! It’s a beautiful camp and we will have to bring more family next time to let them share in on the fun!

The host with the most! This is a must stay and a do not miss. Comfortable beds, beautiful outdoor space, and Deborah is an incredible host who takes the times to make sure all guests are comfortable and well fed! A treasure for glamping in Northern New Mexico. Great home base for heading out to the Cumbres and Toltec, fishing, or just relaxing in the shade on a hammock. We will be back!

Epic Summer Getaway Experience 🏕️

What can I say!!?? This was our first glamping experience and it did not disappoint. We are already planning our next visit! Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly. We spent two nights in one of the teepees under the stars. One of the most romantic and relaxing getaways we’ve ever had. All we needed to pack was our clothes and food. Everything else was provided. I’m hesitant to leave a review because I don’t want to share our new secret spot nestled in Tres Piedras. The views! The babbling stream! The fishing! The beautiful horses! We felt like we were special guests invited by Deborah and Gil. It was right out of a movie. I will be talking about this for a long time… I have never seen stars so beautiful in my life. 🤠🏕️🎣🛻🐴🐄🛣️✨✨✨✨✨

Little piece of heaven

Loved this place so much. Great location for adventuring - paddling, hiking, biking, hot springs. The tipi was comfortable and had everything I needed. The property is so beautiful and having a fire every night was magical.

Deborah’s property is beautiful. The tipis are well equipped with all the tools and utensils one may need. She owns the Chile line depot which is super historic - I highly recommend eating from there so you’ll get to have a very memorable experience.

Beautiful and well maintained. The teepees were fun. My pup was off-leash the whole time and loved to explore. Kids wanted to stay another day but we couldn’t because our travel schedule. Will definitely be staying here instead of Albuquerque or Santa Fe when visiting the area. Our hosts were amazing and super nice! Be sure to stop by Deborah’s restaurant Chili Line Depot for some great food on your way in or out.

Glamping in a Tipi with the dogs!

Host Debbie was in touch the day of our arrival and treated us to an upgrade to the Luxury Tipi as inclement weather had arrived and she felt we would be more comfortable in the larger Tipi with a pellet stove. When we arrived her son and husband greeted us and showed us around the Tipi and amenities. The Tipi was clean and well set up with lots of blankets and the stove was already running and Tipi was toasty. We brought our Golden Retriever and Mini Aussie and boy did they have a blast! There is a beautiful creek that runs along the side of the Tipi's. To say our Golden was in heaven was an understatement! This is a working ranch so there are horses, cows, dogs, cats and all kinds of natural wildlife. You can fish for trout in the pond and river! It did rain most of our stay but we made the best of it and grilled some delicious steak, played cards, listened to music and got cozy! We drove to Taos to do some shopping on our second day, it's about 40min from the Tipi, on our way back we stopped in at Debbie & Gil's restaurant the Chili Line Depot and had some fantastic lunch (Elk stew, salad, and fresh strawberry rhubarb pie baked by Debbie!) We will definitely be back for a re-do with better weather, we are looking forward to exploring the property more! Rob & Christine

Fun and cozy!

Deborah and Gil were awesome hosts and made us feel right at home. It was a beautiful setting and the kids loved exploring the land. The weather was cold as we were there so early in the season but the teepee was nice and cozy with the pellet stove. We will definitely be back in the summer to enjoy all the amenities and more of the beautiful and peaceful scenery.
