Enjoy access to our open pastures for picnics and educational self guided and in-person guided tours. At check-in, we will provide you with arrival instructions, guiding you towards a few special places around the ranch and nearby areas to learn about our watershed, our farming practices and regenerative agriculture. We also offer a variety of grass-finished beef, lamb, pork, eggs, and vegetables grown and raised right here on the ranch at our farm shop. The fees listed on this site are for the educational tours. By supporting us through our educational tours you also reserve a camping spot for FREE if you wish to stay with us overnight and enjoy your agricultural products from the farm. Primitive sites are back-to-basics: no hookups, no structures, no potable water. There is non-potable water available for washing—please bring your own drinking water. A shared composting toilet is available to all campers. Winds can be strong in spring and summer, but sites are placed on the leeward side for protection. Fires are permitted when conditions allow—check with us on arrival. We’re just 10 minutes from Tomales, 15 from Valley Ford, and 3.5 miles from Dillon Beach. Bring a kayak or canoe and paddle from camp to the Pacific via the Estero. Primitive and RV Sites with sweeping views of West Marin pastureland at True Grass Farms, a working ranch along the Estero San Antonio. Our campsites are well spaced for privacy and quiet, surrounded by birdsong, grazing animals, and the rhythms of ranch life. Each primitive site overlooks the Estero and is near a mowed grass road for easy access. It’s peaceful here at night—other campers may be nearby, but you’ll feel immersed in nature. Looking for more comfort? We offer two RV sites: The Heron’s Nest is a cozy trailer tucked under a large willow, just 10 feet from the water. It includes a queen bed, kitchenette, indoor composting toilet, outdoor shower, firepit, and direct Estero access—perfect for two guests. The Badger’s Den is a private full trailer with a queen bed, kitchen, dining area, indoor shower, and composting toilet—plus a private wood fired sauna, firepit, and peaceful surroundings. Estero Edge This peaceful, private site sits right on the banks of the Estero San Antonio, offering direct water access, wide-open views, and the quiet solitude of our most secluded campsite. Tucked away from the other sites and naturally sheltered from westerly winds, it’s an ideal spot to unwind, paddle, and reconnect with the land. There’s space for two small tents or one large (4-person) tent, and parking for one car comfortably—or two if parked close together. You’ll also find a fire ring for cozy evenings and non-potable water on-site (bring your own drinking water). This site includes direct river access, so feel free to launch your kayak or canoe right from camp and explore the Estero all the way to the ocean. The shared composting toilet is just a short walk away (details provided at check-in). You’ll also have access to our pastures for peaceful walks or picnics, and when you arrive, we’ll point you toward a few hidden gems around the ranch. A liability waiver is required upon check-in. We’re just 5 minutes from the town of Tomales and 10 minutes from Dillon Beach, a favorite coastal destination. Come prepared, settle in, and enjoy a truly quiet retreat. Located right beside the Estero San Antonio, this cozy site offers easy access to the water, peaceful views, and a soft grassy bank shaded by a willow—perfect for relaxing, reading, or launching a kayak. It’s a short walk from the shared composting toilet via a mowed trail, and is positioned close to our Owl campsite while still offering plenty of quiet and privacy. There’s space for one large tent or two small tents, and parking for one car. A fire ring by the Estero makes this a great place to gather and enjoy the evening. Please note: there is no running water at this site, so be sure to bring your own cleaning and drinking water. With direct river access, you can bring a kayak or canoe and paddle straight from camp, exploring the Estero all the way out to the Pacific Ocean. Guests are welcome to roam our open pastures for picnics and walks, and when you check in, we’ll point you toward a few favorite spots on the ranch. A liability waiver will be required at check-in. We’re just 5 minutes from the historic town of Tomales, and 10 minutes from Dillon Beach, with its wide coastal views and tidepools. It’s a beautiful home base for adventure or stillness. Set on the flat footprint of an old barn, this is our most easily accessed campsite, making it a great choice for families, small groups, or anyone looking for a bit less of a hike in. The site offers wide views of the Estero San Antonio and the wildlife it draws, in a peaceful and open setting. There’s space for 3–4 tents, parking for up to 3 vehicles, and a fire ring for relaxed evenings. Non-potable water is available on-site for rinsing or washing—just be sure to bring your own drinking water. The composting toilet is located a short walk up a mowed trail. You’re welcome to explore our pastures at your leisure—perfect for a picnic or a slow walk through the landscape. When you arrive, we’ll share directions to a few special spots on the ranch worth wandering to. A liability waiver will need to be signed upon check-in. We’re just 5 minutes from the historic town of Tomales, and 10 minutes from the dramatic shoreline of Dillon Beach. From camp, you'll enjoy wide, open views of the Estero San Antonio and the wildlife it draws in—ideal for those looking to slow down and soak in the landscape. The walk to the campsite is 400 feet up a mowed trail from the designated parking spot, and the bathroom is a short walk downhill. Please note, this is a walk up site, do not drive your vehicle up the path to Quail's nest. There’s room for two small tents or one large (4-person) tent, and designated parking for Quail is a short walk away. You’re welcome to roam our pastures for a picnic, a quiet walk, or just to take in the space. At check-in, we’ll point you toward a few of our favorite hidden spots on the ranch. Private and quiet camping getaway

We had a lovely stay at Swallow’s nest. We loved seeing the sheep and cows. We even saw otters and a barn owl! The site felt private and serene. The compost bathroom was stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Guido and Emily provided clear check in instructions and directions to the campsite. We will definitely be back for another stay,

Goose camp was very private, as it is the end of the road. Because it is nestled up to the hillside, it has less wind than other sites. There is a small wild plum tree, which provides some shade during the heat of the day. So this site has spots with full sun or enough shade that you don't have to create it. A nearby small road where you access the property creates very little noise. Most of what you hear are birds, wind & coyotes at night. Both nights involved some fog. A very lovely environment and extremely convenient for accessing anywhere in West Marin. Definitely recommend. Very accommodating hosts.

It was a great site hidden from the early morning sun and wind because of the tall plants around it. Tons of stars at night and really nice neighbors. Didn't interact with host because everything was plainly spelled out. Wood available at camp was fantastic hardwood that burned really well.

We loved our time at the Swallow Nest site! Check in was easy and the composting bathroom was kept really clean. Other campers were respectful of noise. We had really bad wind for a majority of our stay, but that didn't tarnish our trip!

This is such a magical place to camp. We stayed at goose nest which was absolutely perfect - very secluded and the views of the river and the pasture across the way were so gorgeous. On clear nights there’s great stargazing. There’s also a yellow plum tree with ripe fruit on the site (as of September) which was such a fun treat :) The camp store is great, the firewood bundles were super convenient and well priced at $10. I wish we didn’t have to leave!!

Wonderful spot I would recommend to anyone that loves tent camping! The eggs and firewood they offer are a super nice touch. The fire pit had a nice cooking grate! And if you’re not from the area, always keep in mind the wind can pick up and it’s a cold ocean air that means bring big tent stakes and the right clothing

We had a lovely time in the great Blue Heron camper, which was charming and rustic. The outdoor gas grill came in handy, but what was really fabulous was just how dark and quiet it was at night - we both really caught up on our sleep debt and were ready for fun hikes in Bodega.

Pleasant stay! The directions were very straightforward, and it was such a nice perk being able to purchase ground beef, farm-fresh eggs, and firewood directly from the farm store. Our campsite felt pretty secluded from the other sites, which we really appreciated. The composting bathroom area was also clean and well-maintained by outdoor camping standards. Got to see some roaming cows across the river! Be prepared for all kinds of weather. It was fairly windy in the late afternoon, but the wind died down at night. It got pretty chilly and foggy before sunrise, but the mornings were beautiful and comfortable. Overall, a lovely spot for a one-night camping getaway!

We loved this Hipcamp and highly recommend it! The cute little ranch store where we checked in offers firewood, fresh eggs, grass fed beef, etc. We met Guido who was super friendly and helped direct us to our campsite. It was quite private and peaceful watching the cattle across the Estero from our site. The grassy hills and the big open sky provided an idyllic view. And the outhouse with the composting toilet was remarkably unscented. Thank you, Guido and Emily, for sharing your ranch with us!

Loved the camp spot at Egret’s nest! Woke up to cows in the distance and bought some fresh eggs for breakfast. The camp site was very spacious and we had privacy away from the other campers. A good distance from Tomales and Point Reyes as well. Weather: Mornings were a bit damp in August, a bit of wind before sunset. Very quiet during the night and skies were clear to see the stars. A very well maintained area, would come back!

Genuinely great!! Super nice area and it’s very nice to be so close to the beach. Only downside is that there’s no showers/regular bathrooms. I’m a bit of a glamper so I enjoy those amenities, but the compostable bathroom is definitely good enough for what we needed. The cows were a cute bonus to see and the hosts themselves were great whenever I had questions. Hope to be able to go back at some point :)

Beautiful spot. We stayed in a trailer on the property which was very comfortable and spacious. Soooo quiet out there! Outside the trailer was a dry heat sauna, fire pit and chairs next to tall sunflowers and amaranth. Just a really great place to get away and minutes to Dylan beach. Thanks Guido!
