The G Farm

Ever want to leave your job and unite with nature? Me too, after 10-plus years of tax preparation, I found myself with a desire to farm and to become closer to the food we take for granted. This farm is unique in that it was cleared and stripped of its topsoil and its fill was sold off to the state. What was left behind was a pond and some poor farmland. I purchased this less desirable property inexpensively and have been working tirelessly to regenerate the property to a farm that mimics nature and our natural ecosystem. I have planted over 1000 trees and perennial shrubs to move this property into an oak savannah-like natural farming system. In 2015 I purchased this property without any farming experience and have begun to transform this property into a beautiful destination. We look forward to seeing you and welcoming you into our ecosystem.

Koeller Century Farm

The farm has been in the family for four generations.
 We don't have any livestock anymore and rent the fields to the neighbors but the home, outbuildings and five acres are well-loved and used as our home base and also for rustic weddings, graduation parties, reunions and barn dances.
In 1974, the farm was used as the location for the TV movie "Things in Their Season" starring Patricia O'Neal.
We put up one of the first barn quilts in the county and are on the route of the Bike the Barn Quilts bike ride (held last Saturday in September.)

Pitch your tent or roll your RV up to a beautiful farmstead (we no longer have animals, crops only).  We are a rustic wedding / event venue located mid-way on the Mountain Bay Trail, Wisconsin's longest rail-trail which runs about 90 miles from Weston to Green Bay.   Fire pit available.  Views of farmland all around.  Quiet and peaceful but not secluded.   (See pictures on Facebook Country Events at the Koeller Century Farm.) You can move tent into the machine shed (wood chip floor) during severe weather.  There are electrical outlets to use to re-charge devices.

Ethereal Gardens

Clear cut in the 50's, and hit by a tornado in the 90's, this land has come a long way in being restored.  The forest has grown back, the tornado damage cleaned up, I'm currently working helping to reestablish native plants.  Adjacent to county forest land this land is teeming with life and has an almost supernatural feel to it at night...in fact, if your lucky you might see the dancing purple lights that have appeared from time to time.  Otherwise the fireflies provide their own light show :)Learn more about this land:Tents can camp anywheres on the property, RV's must stay at designated sites.  Farm is 3 acres field, the rest forest and wetlands with a small creek running through.  The property is part of the Harrison-Hewitt county forest.  It is a few short miles from the Eau Claire Dells, and only a mile or so from the Plover River Fishery, Springbrook(Trout fishing and kayak accessible) the Ice Age Trail.  It is 5 miles from WI Hwy 45 which is on the way to many points in the WI & upper MI Northwoods.  Its 25 miles from Granite Peak Ski area.  We have all sorts of wildlife; loons, turkey, grouse, foxes, red squirrels, wolves, black bear, a cougar, whitetail deer plus woodpeckers, plovers and songbirds and more.

Learn more about this land:We are open for winter camping, I have opened around 400 acres for you  to enjoy. Our peaceful property a once beautiful operating farm now growing back to its natural state with some farm fields still being utilized. We have mature hardwood forests to small streams and ponds scattered throughout. Check in as early as you want if no one is at the site. Many trails for biking or hiking. We have a few larger areas to accommodate multiple groups  check with us if you would like to see if we can accommodate you we are always happy to help.

Sunshine Farmette

One of the first farms in the area, dating back to 1860’s.  Grainery is believed to be the oldest building, followed by the house.  The original house was a log cabin and added onto making it into 2 story house today. The current Barn was built in the early 1900’s.  The property was once dairy farm, and plant nursery.   Enjoy the trails and the lawn around the barn.  Be cautious of stinging neetle.  Many birds; morning doves, thrushes, catbirds, green herons, gold finches and many more are seen.  Raccoons, squirrels, snakes, turtles, deer, rabbits and have been seen 🦌🦝🐇

Rustic Farmette located on quiet county road.  A gravel area is available for cars and campers.  A above ground fire pit lined with logs for sitting is available.  Electricity can be made available upon request.  Nighttime is filled with the sound and sights of local wildlife.  Barred owls, frogs and song birds of all types frequent the property.  Raccoons🦝 have been seen in the area, so always take food precautions. Absolutely perfect for stargazing on clear nights.  Small town Fremont offers the basics and much more.  Wolf River, Wiouwash State Trail, Fremont Beach on Partridge Lake are only 10-15 minutes away. Appleton & Oshkosh only 25 minutes away.
