Shiloh Farms Treehouse

We are located near the famous Gays Mills Apple Orchards.  We have trout streams nearby, biking the back country roads, canoeing nearby, Mississippi River 7 miles from us, Historic sites to visit, like Villa Louis in Prairie du Chien, Pikes Peak and Effigy Mounds.  We are in the Ocooch Mountains, so whether you are in the hills or valleys, you are always surrounded by the beauty that nature provides.  We have a treehouse on our property that we rent out and offer the use of an updated outhouse that has been here for decades.  We also provide an outdoor shower.  The treehouse has a small Keurig, toaster and microwave.  We have a 36 inch Blackstone griddle on our large deck for your cooking needs.  Please wander over this way and enjoy what Southwest Wisconsin’s Driftless Area has to offer.

You can bring your own towels, bedding, pillows, etc., but if you forget or don’t have room, I have some all ready for you to use when you come.  Just let me know and I will bring it to you or let me know ahead of time and I will have it in the treehouse for you.

200-acre very hilly dog-friendly Century farm in the Justin Family over 100 years with acres of alfalfa, sunflowers, 3 acres of gardens around the compound, 150 acres of forest, 2 disc golf courses, 14 miles of grassy "mowed like a lawn" dog-friendly walking trails and 2 lovable pet llamas that love to be hand-fed treats or carrots.

Healing Hills

We are nestled into a hillside in Wisconsin's Driftless and amish country. Surrounded by beautiful ridges, valleys and trout streams, campers can enjoy hiking trails throughout our land, nearby streams and rivers for fishing and paddling, amish markets, famous bike trails, Wildcat Mountain and the Kickapoo Reserve. Or sit back and relax in one of our private camp sites and fall asleep under endless stars while coyotes lull you off to sleep.

You have your own picnic table under the willows. The Viroqua Food Co-op, located 30 minutes away, has the best of everything: organic rotisserie chickens, sourdough baguettes, local Fizzeology sauerkraut and kimchi, greens, fruits, etc.

Grateful Farms

An historic Wisconsin dairy, now home to a family of nature-loving outdoors people who farm slightly, take life as a big adventure and love deeply. We have the long view to the west, a fantastic hill to climb and a creek to play in for days. You can venture into the gardens, play with the farm creatures or simply hide away at your campsite and give us a wave as you gather water from the spring, wander into the nearby public hunting and fishing land or grab an armload of firewood. We love to share our space so get out here, see the stars in their full glory and revel in the melodies of nature and relative silence of our little valley. Reset and find all the remedies that rural life has to offer. Learn more about this land:Join our little farm crew by pitching your tent along the flat near the creek. We have a couple great spots that are just right for privacy, scenery and relaxation. Take a walk to the ridge top or along the water and explore some of the Midwest's beautiful Driftless region. A fire ring and wifi nearby -- just ask. Let us tell you where to go in one of our sweet small towns nearby. Make your way to a little slice of heaven here in Wisconsin.

Brye Cabin and Bad Axe Camping

Our family purchased this land for adventure.  We would love to share our adventure with you. 

Groomed UTV/hiking trails on our property.  Hiking access into Duck Egg county park with over 10 miles of trails to explore on 900 acres.

Drive and park directly at our cabin nestled in the driftless.  It is totally private on 140 acres.  Watch the wildlife from the porch while enjoying a campfire.  The cabin offers 2 queen beds on the loft, a futon and fully stocked kitchen.  Outdoor bathroom with plumbing.

We offer 2 campsites directly on the Bad Axe River with hike in or utv assist access only.  Park at designated parking area.  

The campsite has fire ring and table and chairs at the site, firewood available for 10/night.  5 gallons potable water provided.  Hike in or purchase utv assist to get gear to the site $20 both ways

We also have a 'glampsite' which already has a 10x12 wall tent on a 12x20 platform, with a queen bed and all bedding included. 10 gallons potable water provided.  An outdoor kitchen contains everything you need to lessen your packing for a total relaxed and spoiled camping experience, all paper products and cookware in stocked kitchen.  Charcoal and grill, 24" gas griddle, 2 burner coleman stove with propane included.  Glamp directly on the river.

There is a separate picnic area with fire ring, picnic table and swing set for the kids!

Pets are welcome!  We do ask for a $20 pet fee at the cabin and glampsite as there is extra cleaning involved, thank you!
