There was plenty of open space to create our own setup, we were far enough away from the city and close enough to Ohio Pyle to go hiking Saturday morning. Had a wonderful experience at Laurel Highlands! Maggie is a super friendly and attentive host, and the space was perfect for our needs. It’s not as tucked away as some other campsites we’ve been to, but that did not dampen the experience at all. It’s a bit elevated from the surrounding area and it was really cool to see the fog roll into the lower elevations at night. Some of the space is on a slight incline but it did not affect our ability to find a good spot for our tents or placement of our cots. I will definitely be planning to return again!

We loved camping at this spot so much! We have two small children with us, and the toddler loved checking out the pond and gazebo. The whole space is beautifully green; would recommend splurging a tiny bit for the site with the great view. The hosts are so wonderful, and they gave us some awesome recommendations for nearby National Parks. Such a blessing to meet them. Would definitely stay here again!

It's very peaceful here and enjoy hearing the animals. The adorable goats introducedthemselvis as I was packing up in the morning. -so cute. I love Goats! (Rooster crowed just before my actual alarm clock-LOL). I value privacy and safety and slept well. I slept in my SUV. I have an airmattress and sleeping pad that keeps me comfortable. I plan to be back next time I need to travel to PGH.

We enjoyed our stay here for a second year in a row! The host Mark is a great communicator and responsive. This property is so clean and so well kept! Our boys enjoyed riding their bikes around the campsite and we enjoyed sitting by the bonfire. We had the entire campground to ourselves for two nights and it was calm and quiet! The site is great! Right on the Yough. There is a slope roof to set up your camp kitchen out of sun and potential rain. There is a stand alone bathroom with toilet and sink. Jeffrey was a good host and quick to answer questions. Only thing to know is it is very close to train line which is loud when they come by.

Weekend Trip to Private Pond Camping

We absolutely loved this spot! You could see houses from the camp spot, but there are no other campers so it is quite private. The porta potty was extremely clean and convenient. Great trails for walking. There’s also a family dollar right down the road incase you need to grab something!
