Caney Fork Camping

3 sites · Lodging, Tents10 acres · Crossville, TN
The property is in Cumberland County, TN, is mostly wooded, and ends at the Caney Fork River. River access is available but there is a short/moderate hike through the woods on an untamed trail. The camp site is primitive and includes 1 cleared space (pictured) with a concrete pad and small fire pit. It is situated half way down the dirt road that runs through the property. The site is the only one on the property at this time. I also live on the property but you will enjoy a mostly secluded space. Additional info: Pets are welcome as long as they remain on leash. There are other animals who live on property and the cats and chickens roam free. The location is outside of the nearest town by about 20 minutes. A dollar general and gas station are about a 10 minute drive. Suggestions: 1. Bug spray may be helpful. It is tick and red bug season. 2. Bring extra firewood if you plan to cook over the fire. There is plenty of pine if you would like to gather it yourself but very little hardwood downed. I will provide a few starter logs. 3. Bring water if you are opposed to drinking well water. There is a tap close to the campsite for well water. This is a bring in, take out experience...trash, towels, sanitary waste, etc. There is an additional $10 charge for leaving litter- this includes cigarettes. I live onsite and am available for questions most anytime.

Tennessee Timber Hideaway

1 site · Lodging15 acres · Hilham, TN
We have 15 acres located in unincorporated Hilham, TN. Dry Mill Creeks runs behind our property, and after a good rain it’s a nice creek to explore. We are working on the natural spring on our property to have even more of a water feature! My husband and I turned a 12X20 shed into an adorable tiny home, equipped with so many comforts- including heating and cooling, running water, washing machine, shower, toilet, WiFi and a smart TV. If someone is wanting to test out tiny living, our home is the best place to try! We are also 1.5 hours either direction of Nashville or Knoxville. We are 15 minutes outside of the city of Livingston which offers the standard amenities including grocery stores, a cute town square, and places to eat. Wednesday through Friday you can always stop in and check out Mayhue Masters General store for some BBQ, supplies, and snacks located right at the top of Turkeytown Rd. PLEASE READ: The driveway to the cabin is steep and gravel. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended but not necessary. We suggest you arrive with daylight in mind, the road in is very dark at night. We ask that our guests please provide their own bedding and towels, if you cannot, the cabin lines are available for an additional $20 fee. There are free roaming dogs in the area. Mostly they stay away. Some come for a visit and are harmless, feel free to tell them to “go home” If you are bringing your dog with you, be mindful of this, as we are not responsible for your dogs interactions with others.
