Our property is a rock climbing spot and a camping area.
To get to the rock shelter you need to do a short hike in a rocky trail, mostly steep, sometimes muddy and climb an inclined (drilled into the rock and ground) 10ft ladder with no hand rails.
Includes: shared full bathroom, private tent area in rock shelter with set up, 1 parking spot and more.

The uniqueness of this place is that the owners backyard’s property is a FOREST 🌳 with a natural rock climbing wall 🧗♂️ for NON climbers AND climbers but can also choose to stay camping. You will sleep in a natural rock shelter as your private room!. This is the way our natives used to sleep and made rituals. The zone is a famous archaeological site.

We came down here from New England in 1997 because we were invited by some locals to teach hanggliding here. At that time as certified HG instructors we thought ok lets try..came down here with our backpacks, a few hang gliders, and figured we would see how it worked out. Renting places to stay for a few years and including rooms for visiting students we had this opportunity to get and fix up this old house. It was a continuation of my dream to have a back pack travelers , adventure travelers, artists, LBGTQ friendly, off the beaten path type of place to stay.
And so in 2004 Barefoot Travelers Rooms and Adventures Guesthouse was born.

Weekend Trip to Barefoot Travelers Rooms Guesthouse
What an amazing place! We loved our stay at Keishya’s guesthouse. It was perfect in every way: the beach, the pool, the nature preserve - near a charming town with wonderful hosts! The communication, cleanliness and attention to detail was excellent. And take the kayak tour to Monkey Island, it was the highlight of our vacation. Stay here, you won’t regret it!

We had a nice time at Refugio Caney and loved that it was so close to climbing and that the tent and mattress were provided. A couple of things to note: if you're 6ft tall, you can only fully lay out in the tent if you do so diagonally. You can hear the freeway from the tent, but it didn't bother us. Also, the climbing day pass is paid for separately. Refugio Caney is cool and we loved climbing the ladder to get to the tent and seeing all the trees in the morning when we woke up. The owners are super nice and we enjoyed chatting with them!

This is by far the most beautiful campsite we've ever camped at, with one of the nicest people weve met in PR. The views are stunning with El Yunque and Vieques island in the background with 360° views from the mountain, an infinity style pool, indoor kitchen, fridge, bathroom with shower. This is our new favorite spot, the beauty, wildlife, and host were all fantastic. Thank you for such a peaceful weekend, we'll be back shortly.

Weekend Trip to Barefoot Travelers Rooms Guesthouse
It is difficult to overstate just how wonderful our stay was. The experience is best described as a “Bed & Breakfast” at a prime beach location. While it is not ocean front, it took us a good minute and a half to get to the beach. Trails are everywhere and the host was exceptionally good at suggesting walks, trails to take, so on and so forth. We planned some activities ahead of time but had we known just how private and meticulously maintained the beach is, we would have stayed at the house and would have made our dinners in house. Keishya is an outstanding host and she even made sure we had eggs, muffins, apple sauce and a few other things. I mean, talk about the details!!!!
In short, you will not be disappointed if you stay at this location. It is without a doubt the best experience we’ve had with Hipcamp and, mind you, we’ve had nothing but good experiences!
It was outstanding in every conceivable way…

Tomas was great! The place was great! We stayed in his private camping area with an amazing view. We had a rainy first day but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the site. Tomas made sure we had everything we needed. Even though we were tent camping, it was nice having a working shower, toilet, and sink near by. The pool is in just a great location to enjoy such a breath taking view. His art is very custom and overall just a great vibe. He has a little slice of heaven here.

It was a big open area for you to park. The roads are very narrow & super bumpy so be mindful of how well your car can get there. Small hiking trails nearby. The pool was cool to have especially on hot days!

We spent an unforgettable night at Jubilee Campsite. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. What truly made our stay special was the attention Tomás gave to my children during the art class. He was kind, patient, and made them feel valued from the very beginning. He guided them with care, encouraged their creativity, and turned the activity into something magical. Watching them so happy and engaged was the highlight of our trip. You can clearly see that Tomás loves what he does, and his passion shines through in every detail. The campsite is well maintained, the pool is amazing, and the views are breathtaking. It is the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy meaningful time as a family. We are definitely coming back. Thank you for everything.

Excellent spot, tremendous views, great price, you won't regret it. Tomas greeted us when we arrived and he was so welcoming and helpful. Throughout he was asking what we needed and if there's anything he could do to make the experience better. Mainly this was due to the fact that it downpoured for a good 6 hours on are only full day. It didn't matter. Luckily there is a pretty large space for the kitchen and playing games and relaxing out of the rain. There's also a patio near the pool to do this. The pool is amazing and the views at night and during the day are breathtaking. We were able To make a fire the first night and hike to the river. There's some trails and some hidden gems you just need to ask Tomas. He offered to take us to a trail for a hike but we just didn't have time because of the rain. Next time. He also mentioned a trip to a secret Beach that we also couldn't take advantage of. It truly is a great spot and a great price. We will definitely be making this a regular stop as we live on the island. Thanks again Tomas.

Barefoot Travelers is so much more than a Hipcamp. It features large clean bedrooms, a kitchen stocked for breakfast along with airy comfortable common rooms.
Even with the house being as awesome as it is Keishya is the real star of the show. She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Her kindness and hospitality are second to none!

We had planned to stay for just a night but ended up staying three.
The property is situated ontop of a mountain with a gorgeous view of the town, some mountains, the coast and also el yunque.
The owner is very friendly and let us choose where we wanted to camp. We definitely recommend the lovers tunnel. It’s got lots of privacy, running water, a bathroom and an amazing view.
The pool was definitely one of the highlights and the art studio was super cool.

A perfect host! The first thing that jumped out at me was how open and communicative Keishya was prior to our stay. Once we arrived we found her warm and friendly and felt immediately welcomed. The guest house was clean and well supplied and made for a perfect landing spot for our Puerto Rico vacation. I hope we get the chance to return someday. Thank you Keishya :)
