This location in Ohio is about a 10-minute walk to Dillon Dam, Reservoir and Lake! The road that was there was called Yelp Town Hollow Road. The road that this camp was on had to be raised when they put the dam in, they even had to move the one room school house! Black Hand Gorge preserve isn't far from the camp, lots of hiking and bicycle trails. Dillon State Park is 10-15 miles away with trails for horses, walking and biking. About 3,000 acres of State and Federal Land is right in our backyard!  Learn more about this land:Set your tent up in a wooded area or near a stream. Great star gazing and forest bathing. The area is in the Yelptown Hollow Valley, the road and one room school house Yelptown School are reminiscent of a bygone era. The old road bed is near camping and old school house has relocated to a site nearby. Come enjoy the laid back ambience of the area! Peaceful, solitude, nearby stream.

This was a property with a house that was beyond repair.  We tore it down to help fix it up.  Since we had utilities we turned it into campsites.  The property is 5 semi wooded acres with a creek that runs through the middle.  Out in the country.  Minutes from the real Amish and 30 min from Berlin, Ohio the home of the commercialized Amish community.  10 min from Mohican area.Learn more about this land:This location is ideal for working crews with 4 campers or less.  Full hookup available for all sites.  A small garage is available for short term storage, for an additional fee.   The sites have 50 amp hookup with water and electricity buried underground.  1 site does not have water buried.   

Six Buckets Farm

We represent the 4th & 5th generations of our family to grow food on this homestead in the Tuscarawas River valley.  Originally founded as the Paulus Turkey Farm in the late 1940s,  the land had been rented to neighboring farmers for decades.  We returned to the farm in 2015 to cultivate the best traditions of Appalachian food and agriculture. We raise heritage breed hogs on pasture and in the woods. We are minutes from Amish country and happy to share the area and our property (and our gorgeous sunrises) with you. As Ralph Waite said in the 1980 made-for-TV movie "Ohms" (filmed in T-County): "If this isn't God's Country, God has no taste."Learn more about this land:Ever dreamed of waking up next to a sounder of snoring swine? Well, maybe you aren't setting the bar high enough in your leisure life. Sleep among the stars and the piglets as you pop a tent next to our pond overlooking pastures on our 90-acre working farm, or walk up the hill for a view of the Tuscarawas valley. The property spans 60 acres with lush woods, a meandering creek, valleys and rock formations. The top of the ridge lends awesome sunset views overlooking the valley. You can rent a cabin on the property, or rent a permanent Safari Tent that overlooks the creek. You can also rent our luxury 16' canvas bell tents that be set up in addition to renting the cabin to allow for more guests.

Pitch your tent in a specified area or rent our luxury 16' canvas bell tents and have everything set up for you- including beds, seating and linens. The property is shared by one cabin rental, one permanent Safari Tent and the owners also live onsite should you need anything , but give you complete privacy. Certain areas of the property are not accessible to explore when there are renting cabin or tent guests in those areas.

The Turkey Hollow Campground

Turkey Hollow is nestled in the rolling hills of Holmes County Ohio. We are right on the edge of the largest Amish settlement in the nation. The primitive campground is in the corner of a small 40 acre farm owned by Matt Polcyn. He started the campground 8 years ago because of his love for nature and real camping. He enjoys traveling in many places in the States and the Caribbean islands and loves finding places off of the beaten path and not commercialized. Because of his interest and love for primitive camping he decided to open the campground in order to provide the same opportunity as a getaway primitive camping location that he tries to find when he travels.
We now just added a in the trees, warm water rinse off area. 

The pond was a great place for reflection. *pun intended*

McKee Farm - Treehouses and Camping

McKee Farm is rich in memories and rich in history. It has been in the family for over 150 years and we were told that it was one of  stopping points for the underground railroad. The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns. 

Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, Tullihas in the Trees treehouse boasts a beautiful sunset view with rolling hills. Tullihas combines comfort with the thrill of being immersed in nature. Built using recycled electric poles, Tullihas in the Trees has a deck perfect for hammocking, an interior dressed with windows so that guests can feel as if they are living amongst the trees, and two small lofts ideal for a restful night's sleep.

Oxley in the Woods is our newest treehouse cabin. Nestled in the woods with a view of the sunset, the lovely A Frame is filled with lovely woodwork, vintage parquet flooring, and private wooded views. The deck is huge! We've had guests set up a tent on the deck beside the treehouse for fun! Swings, and a slide make the Oxley a fun adventure. The double bed in the loft and the two stacked single beds are comfortable and cozy.

The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time. 

Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table. 

Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. Tullihas in the Trees provides a perfect remote and rustic getaway for anyone.

In October and November, access to hiking is limited.

Sandstone rock formations can be found throughout the 240 acre property and make for some cool views. 

The farmhouse has a large covered porch with wonderful views of the farm.
