Went to sleep with the fireflies and woke up to bird singing and a deer at my doorstep. Jay was an amazing host. Gabe is a tour upon arrival. He put a lot of effort into his place and it shows. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were in site 2. It was a very large site close to the water. We were in a tent - the ground was flat and covered with short, soft grass which was perfect! We got the duck eggs as well which were delicious. The only negative is that it was close to pretty busy train tracks (you don’t see the trains, but you will hear them). The porta-potty was very clean and well stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

Loved the pristine nature and quiet on this private property- something you can’t get at a campground. It is primitive but we were prepared for that and really enjoyed bathing in the river by moonlight. The host was very helpful and accommodating.

Stayed here it was great site 3 is almost entirely closed in lake right in front of you it was beautiful. After booking we saw the reviews about trains and were concerned slightly, there not terrible most conductors I feel are aware people are there most don’t blare horn until at the intersection where there required to it’s not insanely loud. It is a little loud I was woken up a few times but I was able to go back to sleep immediately! Would come again lots of fun African wildlife safari is 12 mins away good family fun owners friendly helpful

Great sites, far back on the property so you feel like you have your own space.
The owners are both really nice and helpful. Also it is a great location! Really good for fishing, some people caught 16 catfish while we were there!
The only issues we had were the train nearby, but that was fine and we got used to it fast. As well as the mosquitos, make sure you bring bug spray!

Pros: The riverside camping was really nice. I camped on a weekday, so I ended up with the whole area to myself. Super easy access for dropping in a kayak/canoe or dropping a fishing line in the water. The site was mowed and the porta potty was well-maintained. The tall grasses added to a pretty sunset. The hosts were helpful and available, but respected your privacy. You're still close to Port Clinton, the islands and Cedar Point. The price is comparable to the crowded state parks.
Cons: There is some noise from the trains and the nearby highway, but it wasn't really that bad. Very little shade if it's hot. The picnic table was looking a little rough.

What a fun trip to Riverside Camping! The whole family was a joy to talk to and the property had so much character. Each space is nicely separated and well-managed. I got to meet all the many animals; lizards, goats, cats, and turtles! And gave a swing at their axe-throwing, too!

We had a great time at Rusty's retreat. The hosts are fantastic people! The land is beautiful and peaceful. Listening to the creek at night is the best. My kids had a great time. Loved the dogs and all the animals. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again! Thank you for sharing your land!

The property is really beautiful! The hosts were absolutely amazing and so friendly. Bryan was very accommodating! We tent camped and really enjoyed bird watching and fishing. The only thing I would recommend when staying here is having some earplugs for sleeping. There are train tracks very close by and the train does run through the day/night. Other than that, it was a perfect stay and made our Memorial Day weekend so relaxing. Would recommend and will be back to stay again! :)

We stopped at Bracy Gold on our return trip from South Dakota where we didn’t get to see any Bison … what a treat to see them here in Ohio. Do yourself a favor and stop for a night … quiet farm setting with all the sights you would expect. Five stars from us.
