We had a little issue with the last hip camp and when we contacted the lovely lady hosting this RV site, we asked kindly could we do rear camp tenting and they were very welcoming and let us book at last minute. It wasn’t crowded at all! Beautiful spot!

#3 site was nice enough, out in open with nice view to East but I would have been right next to another camper (not unusual). The campground was not very full so I switched to #11. Nice back in site with trees on both side. Was only there for a quick overnight so Dead Colt fit my needs just fine.
The host answered my messages fairly quickly and I would definitely book here again. I would assume it would be quite busy on a weekend. I was there in a Wednesday and very quiet .

The Dead Colt Creek recreation area is a hidden gem in the middle of beautiful rolling farm land hills. Nice sandy beach area that is raked. Play equipment in a couple areas for the kids, softball fields, volleyball area, and nice paved launching area for boats!
