Glamp your adventure!  Pitch your tent next to a mountain stream and let it lure you to sleep!  As close as you can get to all the great activities that Blue Ridge has to offer.  Right in the heart of the Aska adventure area!  3 miles to downtown, 1 mile to Lake Blue Ridge and the Toccoa River.  Just over a mile and you find yourself at the Deep Gap/Flat Creek trailhead for mountain biking and hiking fun.  Close to the waterfall trail off of Rock Creek road.  Come and feel the breeze as it blows across the meadow as you nap under the trees.  It’s a place that the whole family can enjoy! Now with 2 outdoor showers(hot/cold), full bathroom and bike wash.

*Please note that the bathroom/outdoor showers and bike wash are located on the outside of the barn which is also a VRBO.  Please respect any VRBO renters and use only the outdoor facilities as mentioned.  There are firepits at each camping platform location.  Please see pictures for Barn and exterior facilities. We have been here 4 years. The homestead is over 100 years old.

Located 7 min from the sleepy little mountain town of Andrews, NC. We have 16 pristine acres of (mostly) defunct farmland in western Cherokee County. You can pitch a tent by the river, hammock camp up the mountain or park your RV in the field. We have trails to hike, goats to pet, and of course we have beautiful mountain views! Infrastructure is still being developed, currently we have two standard 110 30a outlets in the field. The rest of the property has no power or water.

We are located on a main (paved) road. Motorcycles, tents, hammocks, or RV's, are welcome. Two brewery's and a winery in town. White water rafting on the Nantahala river 9 min away. Nantahala Outdoor center and the Appalachian trail 23 min away. Cherokee, NC the south entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain is 45 min away. Waterfalls, hiking, fishing, off-roading, and ziplining are other popular recreation ideas in the area.

Silverbell Wood

Covered in Carolina Silverbells, (hence the name Silverbell Wood), Flame Azaleas and Dogwoods, this property is a part of the Southern Appalachians which is one of the most diverse and unique ecosystems in the world due to it's topography and natural history. We have 5 distinct micro-ecosystems on our land! We cherish and monitor the health of the land which has proven to be fruitful with the increase of the salamander population (an indicator of ecosystem health), in the past few years! Our 6 acres is a labor of love, maintained and improved entirely by the owners, Stephan Hart and Nicole Harris.

The shower/bathing shelter sits just off the road from the site, a short walk away. Hang a shower bag, or have a bucket bath in privacy.

The lounging deck has a few chairs, a moveable picnic table and eyelet hooks for one hammock.

The composting pit toilet is open-air, but enclosed for privacy and has hooks galore to hang your important things.

The kitchen shelter contains a broad counter top for prepping, cooking, storing gear etc.

Family owned and operated by Cindy and Andre Roestenberg with the help of Grandy Elizabeth and daughter Annie 21 who just graduated nursing school. Andre is from Holland the Netherlands and Cindy is from New York City they met in Ft. Lauderdale got married and bought the campground in 1999. Annie was 3 years old. The campground was previously owned by Archie Watkins a famous singer from the gospel group called the Inspirations. Archie still comes thru the campground every now and again. The campground is the most beautiful one in the Smoky Mountains everyone that stays here always winds up coming back again and again. The Heart Center

The Heart Center sits on 30 acres of beautiful forest land and it is surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest.  The place is an old school site that was literally left to be buried by the forest, until I came along and decided to fix it up, and create a holistic sanctuary for people wishing to get away from it all. A place where one can heal, contemplate, re-energize, and relax in a quiet and pristine environment. Feel secluded enough to experience your own inner stillness; and, yet, connected enough to enjoy many beautiful area attractions that are just minutes away such as: Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Fontana Dam and the Appalachian Trail, 20 Mile Ranger Station, Cherohala Skyway, and Santeetlah Lake!The Heart Center is about love, unity, harmony, joy and re-connecting with ourselves, others, and Mother Nature. At the Heart Center, we take special interest in providing our guests with a uniquely peaceful, positive, comfortable, and relaxing experience! Whether you are laying on a hammock, walking the labyrinth, or just sitting on the deck taking in the sights and sounds, we want you to enjoy. 

Campsites are nestled in the woods and have tent pads, tables and fire pits with grill.

The Little Sundrop

Experience the rhythm of the Smoky Mountains in our super comfortable glamping site. You will need an all wheel drive vehicle to access this secluded mountain retreat (our Honda CR-V does great).  Located on a 30 acre eco-preserve, amazing views, outdoor shower in a treehouse, private bathroom and too many amenities to mention. Kitchen, bedding and towels included for 4/5 people. 

While we live in a forest full of critters we are watched over by our own critters.

The site includes a fooseball table,  we are highly low tech.

Kitchen/galley is built into the back of the trailer.
