This custom designed glamping lodge was a dream of mine for a long time. I wanted a place to go to unwind and be with one with nature. But! wanted it close to town so I do not have to travel far and still be close to the city attractions.
AC and Heat are in the Lodge
The lodge backs up to a large hill--called the Loess Hills. Many deer, raccoon, possum and turkey call it home and so does a few pets of mine to include a mini schwazer and two goats. They just love being adorned by new people. I think you will find this a perfect place for a good nights sleep.

Get cozy and settle into this secluded romantic little bungalow. This tiny home has an open concept with a dash of old cabin feel. Enjoy a good nights rest on the clean memory foam mattress that features an electric winch to raise and lower the bed. Outside you can you can enjoy BBQ and an evening by the fire pit with complete privacy.
The space
This tiny home features a queen size bed that is hung by rope. The winch will lower and raise the bed to the ceiling to provide more available space for activities. A working space table that folds down from the wall that includes a comfortable 3-way chair that can be converted to a lounge sofa or to a comfy little cot that sleeps 1 person. A loft sits above the kitchenette that the kids and/or you short kings and queens will be able to lay your head down for a good nights rest on the memory foam padded bedding.
Guest access
You will have private access to the tiny home property from the alley behind the main little brick home. The parking lot can fit up to 2 compact cars along with free street parking. The property is completely fenced off with exception of the driveway.
*This tiny home is located on the same property as the main little brick house but only accessible via the alley. Please do not disturb guests at the main house address that is 6227 Parker St.
Other things to note
Although the unit has a bath tub, the water heater is a limited size and not designed to fill the tub with hot water. This water heater will only support quick showers. I recommend spacing out quick showers for multiple guests.
To add, the fixtures on the tub are just for design. They do not operate. The fixtures for the shower head bucket are located directly above the bath fixtures located on the wall. They can sometimes be hidden by shower curtain.
This is a low flow system that pours out of a bucket. It’s a relaxing old fashioned way of showering. Please do not have expectations of a high pressure shower head you may be accustomed.

We only stayed during middle of winter for a total of one night, arriving late and leaving early. We were just passing through. Great stay! Got pretty chilly at night with both heaters on but otherwise very western, cozy little cabin. The property owner was very kind!

The land was beautiful, easy to follow directions from host and a clean campsite. Hosts were willing to assist with anything we needed but left us to ourselves to enjoy the quiet. Lots of trails and things to see.

This was a really cool find! You would never think you would be right in town by pictures. When you go to the restroom you’ll get greeted with the sweetest dog!:) there is so many cool things to look at in the yard and cabin!
One thing I would tell future campers is if you want to use a blanket be sure to bring one. There was one on the main bed but only big enough for one person. I didn’t ask if there were any extras tho.

Great hosting, quick, clear responses to all my questions! The spot is beautiful, though as a person with chronic fatigue it was a little difficult to pull my things uphill to the tent. It isn't a super far walk, but can be tiring if you have a similar condition. The wagon provided definitely helped.

Best way I can sum up Robs property is that it's just like camping, except there is a bed, air conditioning, and heat provided. Rob has set the cabin up very well, and there is a small table with chairs and some books and games if interested.
My partner and I like to tent camp, but when it's too hot or cold for us, we find simple cabins that provide a space to cool off or warm up but still space to cook outside and live "simply" Robs property gave us the perfect chance for that.
As a warning to others though, that maybe wouldn't bring a car full of camping supplies to stay, the cabin does not come equipped with cooking supplies, plates, cups, etc. There are restaurants close by, but If you're looking to just relax and stay in, you'll have to be prepared or plan to door dash food.
The space is cozy and feels extremely private, even though it's at the end of Robs property. It feels like you're away from the city. The bathroom is accessible through the garage, and is apart of the main house. It is clean, and Rob even put towels out for us. The large sink in the restroom was a great place to do dishes. While the site description includes water and a picnic table, there was not a picnic table, and the water is from the houe (you have to locate it, it's not right near the cabin)
This is a hipcamp listing, not a 5 star Airbnb. If you are searching for a 5 star BnB, this ain't it. But a great hipcamp? Absolutely!

Weekend Trip to Arrowtree Campgrounds
We loved tenting on Mike's land. He gave us very clear cut directions. The sites had plenty of space. It was a last minute trip for us, but Mike had everything ready to go for us earlier than expected and invited us to come sooner. It was a much needed retreat for my girlfriend and I and we are extremely excited to go back very soon.

We loved camping on Mike's land. Unfortunately it was very humid when we came in and no breeze at all. Mike did provide a rechargeable fan, which made it bearable. The mattress on the bed was very comfortable and the "loo" worked great 😉. We were able to enjoy hearing a Barred Owl serenade us for quite a while. And we even enjoyed a small thunderstorm. All things I love while camping. We would love to come back when it isn't quite as hot and humid to be able to enjoy a fire and some hiking. The property is beautiful.

Rob was a great host! Communication was excellent. The property was super cute and well cared for. The lodge is tucked back in a very private nook in the trees. We enjoyed the grill and fire pit onsite. We were lucky enough to see a family of deer in the woods, and loved interacting with the two sweet goats on the property. It’s a perfect little oasis close to Omaha! Thanks for sharing your beautiful property, Rob!

This was a neat little spot to stop for a night. Basic and private, with a little porch to sit on while listening to all the summer insects, and a barred owl visit in the middle of the night. The host's communication was great and directions were clear.

Unfortunately we couldn’t stay the night due to an emergency with our dog back home, so we only were there for an hour or two, but the property is gorgeous! The tents are so nice and I really wish we could have stayed over — next time! A true gem in Nebraska. It’s so peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect spot to getaway. Be sure to pack tick spray!
