Wade the Dearborn in the back yard of this 3-bedroom house (fourth bedroom/living room or guide cabin next door ($150/stay to open) on 10 acres of the former Gary Cooper Ranch. The farm/ranch and setting are beautiful and far enough out to keep it peaceful, but close enough to town that it's not inconvenient. Maybe even more importantly, Becky was such and kind and considerate host - it made the whole experience very positive. Above and beyond my expectations for a new Hipcamper!

We really love this location. It’s away from it all
We came with our teardrop camper and a side tent and had a lot of space. When we showed up we were greeted by two welcoming puppies!
Becky was an amazing hostess! She greeted us when we came, and the morning we were leaving, she brought us some muffins and other snacks for our road trip.. We would visit this Hipcamp again!

We loved staying at Becky’s place in Montana. She greeted us with ice cream, with their dog Olf. He’s a sweetheart and our dog had funny playing with him. Our dog was safe running around the property off leash, and Becky’s land was an excellent location to boondock for a night. The gravel road was fine. We look forward to staying here again the next time we visit Montana.

It was a great place to stay. Our dogs ran free the entire time. There was a ton of wildlife. Only problem is that the sprinklers turned on at midnight soaking everything. Not Beckys fault, she asked and left a note for their house sitter to turn them off and he did not. If it wasn't for sprinklers it would have been perfect. Sprinklers kinda ruined it though. I'd stay there again but I'd a thousand times remind host to turn them off.

Elicia made me feel right at home. The camp is in historic Fort Shaw. The fort is in walking distance as is the military cemetery. Beautiful countryside and the Sun River is close by. Right down the road is Big Sky Deli in Vaughn with all kinds of meats, cheeses, pastries, kombucha and provisions. I love the sounds of the farm animals and so did my pooch! :) I would definitely stay here again!
