Currently we are restoring our property after the ice storms in January that broke many trees in two, and uprooted trees at the root balls. Due to a very wet Winter, the ground was unstable. The cabin and campsites are unaffected. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

70 secluded acres adjoining the Shawnee National Forest area with some hiking opportunities, woods and water activities. Close to Garden of the Gods (10 min), RimRock, Pounds Hollow, Belle Smith Springs, Lusk Creek and other trails.  We are in the middle of the Shawnee surrounded by trees, our own lake, you can hike around and walk the land in solitude, yet we are only 25 minutes to Harrisburg. The closest grocery/merchandise store is only 5 minutes away.
  
Cabin-2BR -1 Q, 1 K/1BA sleeps 4- possible 5, Completely modernized, with Heating/ac, full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator, coffee pot, grill, laundry, NO INTERNET. Fully equipped Kitchen with all cooking utensils, crock pot, toasters, dual flex brew coffeemaker, plates, silverware, as well as coffee, creamer, sugar, cooking oil, aluminum foil, and condiments. Large great room, with native sandstone fireplace, that has been converted to gas for easy lighting. Back deck has beautiful views of the lake and hills. Enjoy the large front porch that adjoins the back deck and wraps around 3/4 of the cabin.  Secluded, private, Fire pit. Free firewood. $115.00 per night for two people, Discount for weekday stay. 2 night minimum.

Tent and RV camping sites available. RV pads for self-contained campers. One Electric space available. Water available from spigot and hose. No sewer. Porta-Potty on premises. No showers. No Internet. It is suggested that campers arrive at or before sunset. The drive is not lit, and the camp area also has no lights.

Shade or sunny areas. 

Pets and service dogs welcome with notice. Must be dog friendly (owner has 5 Irish Wolfhounds, and one small mix breed that runs the place). Dogs must have proof of vaccinations. 

Creeks, hills, hiking trails, and private pond full of bluegill and bass. Kayaks, paddleboards, canoe and boat. NO lifeguard on duty. Life preservers/jackets must be worn when around the pond. 

All above activities are done at your own risk, children must be supervised.

Valley View Lodge in Western Kentucky

Come enjoy a cabin stay without roughing it! We are located in the heart of whitetail deer country in Western Kentucky. Featuring a small lake and a front porch complete with a swing, the cabin sits next to woodlands. A gas log fireplace stands ready for those extra cold evenings and the large attached garage is perfect for hunting gear and storage. The property is private yet close to the highway and less than 4 miles from food, fuel, and other essentials. There is ample parking and a fire pit!
The space
Our cabin is located within .5 miles of the Tradewater River boat access where you can launch a canoe or kayak. We are 20 miles from an Amish community where many locally produced farm goods are sold. In addition, Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is approximately 50 miles away.
Guest access
There is additional open-air storage under the roof on the backside of the building. The garage has 2 doors that open to either side of the building which can create an open-air pavilion for rainy-day activities.

Open Pasture Paradise

Very High Elevation in the Open Pasture Area!  We own 200 acres of all types of terrain. There is a very large pasture for camping and a hunters' apartment for rent. There is no stove, but double hot plates, toaster oven, microwave, crock pots, refrigerator, etc. It is not at all fancy, but is certainly usable for short-term lodging. It will accommodate 8 people easily and more on inflatable mattresses or cots.

Deaf Barefoot Melange Farm

Off the Historic Goshen Trail that runs from mid-Illinois thru here to Alton, IL which is close to St.Louis, MO. Oldest house on the trail.  1922 farmhouse but homestead older than that.

We are just normal people who love where we live.  We ride horses right on the road, and just move to the side when a vehicle comes.  We do what we want, and are who we are.  Our values include a very deep faith and church on Sunday morning.  We were born and raised Catholic, and Catholic is what we’ll stay.  We don’t care what religion you are, we’re all living for the same God regardless of the church we attend, or don’t attend for that matter!  You’ll know exactly what type of people we are when you leave, and we hope you’ll be so glad you came. It’s your time to spend, so spend it however you want.  Calliman is operated by Allison, a wife and mother to five girls.  Surrounding the exterior edges of the land are the homes of Brock and Jennifer and their three children, Allison’s mother and father, Billy and Susie the landowners of Calliman Stables, and Allison’s family of seven!  The barn, located in the near center of the farm is home away from home everyday.  Most times we’re at the barn to care for the horses, but sometimes we’re there to saddle up and ride the horses.  We have plenty of room, so bring yours too if you have them.  We will gladly show you around, but you may enjoy exploring the acreage and showing yourself around, and we completely respect that!  Your gonna love it here, but you’ll have to leave it so that you’ll appreciate it when you come back!
