We have a lovely piece of property to come enjoy a getaway at. We enjoy all of the peace and quiet around here. The night sky is unbeatable in my eyes. We have a small hobby farm with lots of very tame animals. We have 42 acres to roams with lots of trails within the woods that are filled with aged oak trees and many young maple trees. Our property is filled with lots of wild flowers and wildlife.
We are locate 3 miles from the root river if you enjoy fishing or going for a float down the river. There are two caves in our area that are a must see while you are visiting. I you like to hike there is a state park 14 minutes from us that have many miles of hiking trails and horse trails.
If you are more the small town strolling type of person we have lots of small towns around us that are filled with shops and lots of great food! There is a large system of bike trails in our area that make a very fun way to check out some of the small towns.
If you have a family with kids we have a lot of fun activities you can do with your kids, like spending time with the goats and chickens, playing on our playground, or taking a nice walk through the woods looking for fossils!

Hidden Springs Hideaway is a little oasis, nestled in the woods. Located in southeastern Minnesota's driftless region, where you are surrounded by rolling green hills, the Zumbro River and limestone bluffs.
Only a half-mile to the quaint town of Mantorville (some call it the Stars Hollow of Minnesota) where you'll find a cute coffee shop, antique stores, a breakfast spot in an old school house, a park on the river, a restaurant built in the 1850s and a saloon with drinks and live music.
The Hidden Spring Hideaway is an off-grid, sustainable glamping experience set on a 25-acre working homestead just 15 miles west of Rochester, MN. Along with forest views and trails, don’t be surprised if a few friendly chickens wander by to say hello. Enjoy a pot of coffee or a bottle of wine, among the trees.
The bell-shaped canvas tent provides private sleeping accommodations for two (a real queen bed, not an air mattress), an outdoor kitchen space and a gravel patio to relax with a campfire. The property offers walking trails throughout the 25-acre woods with mature trees, an array of birds, flowers, a food forest, wildcraft medicinal herbs and the Zumbro River for guest enjoyment. If you would like a tour of the woodland property, one of the site hosts - Steve (a tree expert), would gladly show you around the land. Please send a message and we will arrange this for you.
Please note, the Hidden Spring Hideaway has no running water or electricity. Everything is run on solar, rechargeable batteries and propane. There is adequate lighting inside and outside, plus lanterns, flashlights and headlamps for your use. For drinking, cooking and washing, there is a three-gallon cooler full of water for you. You're welcome to bring more of your own water as well or there is a convenience store a half-mile down the road (Casey's). There is a new outhouse on the property that includes a bench seat toilet. There is compostable material provided to sprinkle in after you finish your business. Handwashing supplies are provided.
Firewood is available for purchase. $5 a bundle. Please message me at least a day before your stay to reserve and it will be delivered to the site.

The upper 14 acres, the location of the “Big Sky” bell tent includes a 5-acre agricultural field and a 9-acre campground area. While this area has no additional amenities, it provides the perfect opportunity for a fully rustic night under the stars. The large, spacious bell-style tent is set up for your use, so no need to bring or pitch your own. A fire globe and porta potty are also provided.

Weekend Trip to Lanesboro Acres
What a gem! Lanesboro Acres is a great place if your looking for beautiful views, wildlife, and just being in nature. We enjoyed the huge tent, great fire pit, and the open space. Neil is a fantastic host! He met us upon arrival and gave a quick load down of the area. There is firewood for purchase at campsite, plenty of walking trails and solar lighting outlining the campsite if you need to step outside in the middle of the night. We enjoyed watching the deer stroll through the property too. Late night, the stars are amazing and the fireflies put on quite a show. Highly recommend this property!

We brought our two kids (21 months and 2 months) and had a blast with the goats! They were right next to the camp. We had snores for the first time here. The cabin was perfect, and Cathy ran up a couple of battery powered portable fans for the heat of the day. Easily our favorite Hipcamp we’ve ever been to! Location was great too at 10-15 min away from Lanesboro for lunch.

Such a gorgeous property and a great place to camp! We stayed in the a frame and while the lot it sits on was a bit small it was still perfect for us and two dogs. We stayed for two nights and ended up being the only ones there for a little while which was perfect for the dogs and lots of area to walk around that we all loved! We already have another trip planned to come back in a couple weeks would definitely recommend!

This site has everything you could possibly need and more! The yurt has a beautiful set up inside, very cozy and comfortable. It was so nice to have a clean outhouse to use whenever needed. The trails nearby are absolutely stunning, especially with the pretty fall colors. This was a great place to escape to for some time in nature, while being close to town if you need to run and get anything! The campsite is set up so well with a lot of nice amenities. Loved the decor and set up in the tent. The lavender spray was a great touch! And the property to explore and immerse yourself further into nature was so wonderful! I heard and saw so many different bird species at the site and further into the property. When I was relaxing by the river a blue heron flew by a few times, also a juvenile bald eagle and adult bald eagle, I heard some turkeys and I saw 2 deer! It also rained for a little bit and it was sooo relaxing to read my book and listen to the drops hitting the tent. It was the perfect place to spend some time reconnecting to myself and nature!

Such a great getaway! The location felt private and the pictures don't do it justice. It is a well kept cabin that has just enough to be comfortable while still having the camping vibe. We were close to many cities and multiple attractions. Definitely recommend biking the trails or going on a cave tour.
