Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods.

Make a stop back in time to our quiet woodland retreat with an updated 1800’s log cabin nestled on the property. At Cabin and Company, you will be parked beside this beautiful cabin and will be allowed access at your leisure for a place to sit and relax. (No overnight sleeping allowed inside) Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (provided) while watching tv or on our covered porch outside. You may also select a movie or two from our large selection of DVDs or find a book to read among our stash of books. Play cards, engage in one of the other games provided, or just sit in the quiet of it all and rest your mind. There is a golf chipping area as well as basketball. We have WIFI at our residence on the adjacent property and some areas of the camp will pick it up better than others. There is a fire ring on site with an adjustable grate for cooking and plenty of seasoned firewood available.. We will have a few items available for purchase inside the cabin including local honey (when available) apple butter, coffee, hand crafted walking sticks and you won’t want to leave without some of these goodies. This semi secluded property is a gem and we hope you will enjoy this piece of history as much as we do. You may see wildlife such as whitetail deer and of course, there are plenty of birds and squirrels around. You won’t be disappointed in this cozy Midwest retreat and will want to make this one of your places while passing through our beautiful Ohio. Most of all, relax and enjoy.

Nestled on nine wooded acres conveniently located just one mile off I-69 in Daleville, Indiana, this relaxing and peaceful property also features a five-acre, spring-fed pond. Nature is strong here. The cabin is rustic, some of the native plants can be prickly, and pollinators are everywhere - including the honeybees with stingers (who live in three different natural hives on the property).

Lisa has curated such an inviting and peaceful space. We were very lucky to be able to connect and unwind there and will be back! The cabin was very clean and relaxing. She also made us a delightful breakfast in the morning, and we were able to purchase some handcrafted soaps for Christmas gifts!

I had a great experience at The Hollow at Cattail Springs! I was the only one onsite during my time there, so I had the whole place available to me. There was plenty of firewood so the fire stayed hot, I had complete access to the pond, and I had ample time of solitude which I was after. I couldn't recommend booking through Cole enough! He was there waiting for me when I arrived and was like talking to someone I had known for a long time. Thanks for the hospitality!

Gorgeous log cabin. It was clean and well decorated. Host came and made us pancakes on our last morning that were delicious and much appreciated. Our family loved our time here!

The landscape here is beautiful. Lots of wetland life. This particular campsite is great for car and tent camping. Easy in easy out. Near toilet. One side is small rocks the other side is soil. The soil can become mud with heavy rain but as Cole and Janel further develop their camp each week it’s getting better and better. They put lots of passion into their work and are super great hosts. The week I was there they were installing a stream that runs from the top of the hill to the pond. What a cool feature and this will help mask the sound of the highway.

This is my new favorite camping spot in Indiana!! It's a quiet, hidden little gem. Our camping spot, The Hollow, was nestled between a couple other spots but there was so much room and privacy away from others, and each spot is settled around a really nice pond where you can fish or take a nice walk around. No electricity or running water, so there's no shower which would be a nice addition but we don't mind either way. The owner welcomed us upon arrival and was so kind and welcoming. We would have stayed there all week if we could have! 10/10 totally recommend!!

If you’re looking for a relaxing and unique Hipcamp experience this is the place. The cabin is so cozy. The front porch is a perfect location to relax and read a book. They offer 30 and 50 amp hookups. The grounds were meticulously maintained. I will most certainly book again!

Lisa was great! Very kind, great communication, just all-around lovely person! Her place was sweet and welcoming - out in the country and away from the noise of the city, yet just a short drive to town, restaurants, stores, etc.
She made wonderful breakfasts for us, as well as a special dessert for our anniversary - shaped in a heart! We definitely will be back and highly recommend her place!

The Campsites are in a very peaceful location, by a placid lake surrounded by the shade of a forest. It’s close to nature. I went to sleep to a chorus of bullfrogs croaking woke up to a choir of birds singing to the rising sun. The Campground at the State Park was full, but Cattail Springs offered more space, solitude and nearness to nature. I would recommend it to anyone.

Fabulous space, reminds me of the home of a good friend. Lisa was a wonderful host, gorgeous property inside and out, and she made a wonderful breakfast as well. We are in the middle of a three day drive to our new home and this was a safe and comfortable place to rest for a night, late check in was no problem either.

Lisa has created a wonderful, relaxed bed and breakfast experience. The little log cabin is picturesque with gorgeous big windows looking out onto the property. The bedroom was cozy, charming and clean. We had a lovely time socializing with Lisa and the other guest staying there, both of whom were dog lovers- fantastic for us, since our little dog was with us. Lisa also sells her handmade soaps (we bought five or six!) and beautiful artwork. Lisa was the perfect host and even made us a delicious homemade breakfast at 6:30am before we had a long drive ahead of us.

Weekend Trip to Artemis Gardens BnB
This was our 2nd time staying with Lisa at her beautiful sanctuary and we have officially declared it our home away from home. She’s made breakfast for us, provided accommodations above and beyond the normal standards of hosting and aside from that, she’s an amazing person to get to know. We’ve both rented a room and also the whole cabin and had tremendous experiences both times. As we walk out of the front door, we’re already daydreaming about our next visit. The ambiance Lisa has created with her property is pure bliss and serenity. The walls, rooms, entire home is filled with beautiful art, gorgeous natural light, beautiful greenery and an overall sense of peace and tranquility. We are so grateful for Lisa and Artemis Gardens and Hipcamp is lucky to have her.

This is our third time staying at Jim and Sharon's place, and it won't be our last. There are so many quaint Ohio towns to check out within 15 to 30 minutes of the campsite. My stay at Lisa's was just magical. The vibe was just heaven to this old hippie's heart who felt like a kid in a candy store exploring all the Wonders that can be found in every corner. This place is so unique warm and welcoming there's a little something for just about everyone unless you just want to hold up in a room alone and then you might as well go to a Motel 6 because this place is all about engaging in life in all forms whether it is chilling out to good music, creating some art or playing music on one of the instruments or cooking a nice meal for the first time in 6 weeks, even just sitting and watching the rain through the beautiful floor to ceiling Windows surrounded by plants. I have already told many friends and I'm planning a return visit. Thank you Lisa you are a gracious and beautiful hostess

My adult daughter and I do a get away each year to celebrate our birthdays. We both are exhausted professionals and need to truly wind down. Lisa’s place was exactly what we needed. The house is so deeply chill and comfy! So many cool things to look at and touch. The added plus of the hanging hoop really blew my daughter’s mind and I loved watching her play like a girl again. We will 100% be coming back!!!

Weekend Trip to Artemis Gardens BnB
Lisa (human), Nemo, Luna, and Artemis (cats) were amazing hosts during my stay. I came for an outdoorsy getaway and the hiking in the area was plentiful and close. Definitely check out the Charleston Falls - they're amazing year round! Lisa's house is a work of art, each nook and cranny painted and decorated with her own work and charming decor. The room was cozy, the bed comfy, the cats friendly (shout out to my girl Nemo, who will crawl into your skin if you let her. Lots of kisses and cuddles from that ginger sweetheart). The highlight is the sitting room with gorgeous plants and lots of sunlight, looking out onto greenery and critters. Lisa was a gracious host who answered all messages/requests quickly. She made me breakfast and gave me recs for local spots. Spot was easy to find, parking was easy, and although there are a few far-flung neighbors it was 100% quiet.
