1 of a kind hipster campground located in Owenton, Kentucky that offers a unique nature experience. Our secluded 40 acres are surrounded by woods & the beauty of nature. This is the perfect opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life! 

Watch the deer & turkey walk by, hike through the woods or stroll by the creek & simply relax; soak up the calm nature has to offer. I can’t leave unmentioned the spectacular beauty of our night sky that is lit up by a sea of stars.

We are located in the center of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail & we are just 35 min. to Frankfort, Kentucky's state capital. Nearby popular attractions include the Ark Encounter (36 min. drive) & the Creation Museum (57 min. drive), offering guests the chance to learn about the creation of the world & the history of the global flood, all from a biblical perspective. In addition to all of this you can enjoy a scenic 7 min. drive to the Elk Creek Vineyards.

There is firewood for sale or Yes you can collect wood on the ground.  We are out in the country.  Your cell service is basically ( 0 ).  We love the fact that we are off the grid down here.  We have eagles, hawks, and deer that are spotted on our property. Relax and enjoy the out doors. We are only 11 miles to Madison.  Enjoy the day down town and come back to the great outdoors.  Great place to stay while visiting one of the many festivals that Madison hosts.  Come Hike splash around and camp at a remote area that you feel like is your part of the world.  We will help in any capacity that we can. We may even get the 1956 tractor out for a hay ride.

Excellent wade and fly fishing - panfish, rockbass, smallmouth, spots and largemouth.

The creek was beautiful - cool, clean, and clear.  Plenty of space for swimming, lounging, playing football, or just exploring.

We have owned this property since 2003.  We are now opening this wonderland up to select few campers to enjoy what we have.  You will have the place to yourself.Hike, swim, relax at our home away from home.  NO cell service at all.  Learn more about this land:This campsite has 20 amp power. Enough to run a small AC and unit.  City Water available.  The site has a fire ring.  Wood for sale or bring your own. This site backs up to the lake.  There is a sand beach within 20 feet. Nice Dock to set on or fish.  Catch and release.  Quiet hours from 11p to 7am.  You are just 11 miles from Madison.  Madison has many festivals all summer and fall.  Close enough to drive yet out of the crowded campgrounds and noise.  Bring your floats and enjoy the lake during summer. Must wear an approved life jacket.  Kids must be supervised as there is NO life guard on duty.Fires must be put out when done.   Major Holidays require 3 nights stay. 

Historic School Field

This property showcases the Old Cass Union School House built in 1941. Although the building is not yet open for tours the family is in hopes to use the money they save to rennovate this old property and bring it back to its prime. There are so many wonderful stories about this property. This location intersects Ohio, Switzerland, and Dearborn county. This property is close to Rising Star Casino, Hollywood Casino, and the Ohio River. On this property sits the Old Cass Union Schoolhouse that the family is planning on renovating once getting the fund to do so. This is a way for the family to save money to renovate the property. Due to tripping hazards, the family isn't allowing any tours of the school but each stay gets the family closer and closer to their goals. This property is also in a very safe area with cameras on the property for the security of your property.
