We bought this one acre property tucked in the corner of the woods a little more than 2 years ago from the family who built it and lived here for 69 years. It was all original since 1946! The dairy and the farmland around us has been family-owned for over 100 years! Our little acre has become a sweet little hidden secret to all who visit. Quiet and beautiful, yet close to all the quaintness Fort Wayne has to offer. The sunrises are amazing! For nature lovers, there are so many different birds that frequent our trees, even an occasional Bald Eagle! We have renovated the tiny shed into an occasional repurpose shop and now are opening it up for a comfortable glamping spot! 1 night at Creekside Acres / N. Manchester

Enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the entire stay. We stayed just one night, but the thoughtful touches were very much appreciated. We built a fire in the fire pit with help from Kurt as my Girl Scout days are long past. Heidi and their beautiful daughters were friendly and busy following a graduation party just the night before. The grounds are perfect in the sense of natural beauty that are tended to for enjoyment. We took advantage of the country road and walked towards town to see the covered bridge. We weren’t disappointed. Our evening after the fire was spent playing a friendly game of Battleship and I now have the title of beating my husband for the first time ever. Thankful for the time away and for Kurt and Heidi. Lovely hosts who followed a path that helps many in the perfect way. Oh and those chickens! The fresh eggs! Worth every single moment.

Weekend Trip to Country Bungalow

Dean and Nancy have created a truly magical little space! We travelled almost two hours to spend the night there, and go to the dairy, which is about 20 seconds away! The tiny shed exceeded our expectations in every way, as the vibe was amazingly cozy and warm. Christmas decor was so beautiful and we loved looking at all the little details around the space. She is an amazing baker, to boot! Fresh cookies, coffee, creamer, and waters awaited us. We will for sure be back!
