The Farmers Cabin

Our farm is located just outside Bloomington Normal Illinois on 5 acres of farm land. 

We raise alpaces, goats chickens, ducks and geese. We’re also close to a nature preserve with trails and a pond.

Please be advised this is a working farm.  It is 100 + years old and we cannot promise you may not see a bug or two. We have a few farm animals that need daily attention so you may see someone wondering around at some point. Just wave if you need anything, we’re happy to help out. “PETs ALLOWED on Leash”.

An 1883 home on an acre of land in the middle of a farming community.    We provide only one RV hookup, leaving you with a private, quiet spot to park your coach or RV. Pull your Motorcoach in, hookup, and enjoy the farm country of Central Illinois.!   Between Springfield and Decatur, is an 1883 farmhouse on an acre of land where you may park and  enjoy a relaxing evening under the stars.  Chill out and have a glass of wine on our Pergola.  Ten minutes to Stephens Creek bike trail, one mile to the yoga barn, 13 miles to Rock Springs Center and 30 minutes to Springfield's Lincoln Museum. 

Under the pergola is the perfect place to relax.

Don't go in at night.  Stay for the stars!

Entire area is subtly lit so you can enjoy a stroll of a meteor shower.

And then there is the landscape.  Lots of grasses, flowers & berries.  An ever-changing season.

Play games in the spacious front yard.  We provide badminton, frisbee & bean bag toss games!

The Old Rugged Barn

I grew up on a farm and thrilled to be enjoying country living once again!We are in central IL near Historic Rt 66, minutes north of Bloomington-Normal with easy access from I-55.   I've only been here since 2010, but we are making constant strides to make the place into a place for visitors and community to enjoy.   Our 3.5 acres is highlighted by the Old Rugged Barn and welcome the opportunity to host any kind of event!   The Old Rugged Barn..... where happy happens!!

This is main entrance to the property and graveled barnyard.   Campers may find sites on the north/right side of entrance or ahead to the west and southwest areas.  Southwest space is the least lit at nighttime.

This is Old Rugged Barn, Sammy's Shelter, and the old Crib.   These are the event venue part of the property.  This is view from northeast; campers may use sites in this grassy area.    There are dusk to dawn lights along this area.

Horseshoe Bend

Family owned private campground since the 1940's. Very secluded and private. Nice trails for hiking or biking. There is even a small "race track" in the bottom bowl near the creek.

River run

Learn more about this land:This campsite is great for fishing, kayaking, outdoor games, swimming in the river and sitting around the fire. We do offer a little pavilion and a sand volleyball court.

Hillbrook Haven

Welcome to Hillbrook Haven, boasting one of the most beautiful settings in central Illinois. We are nestled right in between Bloomington and Peoria, IL, down a quiet road near the Panther Creek and the Mackinaw River. Just 15 minutes from world renowned DISC GOLF course in Eureka, IL. 5 miles from Fairlakes Golf course. Enjoy several public hiking areas less than a mile away. A great area to ride ATVs on the quiet roads. This camp sight sits on 2 acres, has mature trees for shade, a picnic table, and lots of space to run and play. We are a drug free and alcohol free property. And clothing is required. We look forward to hosting you here at our quiet retreat.
